This was the second stop on our vacation; the first was in Fajardo, which is very close to San Juan on the Eastern side of the island. Isabela is a great small town on the Western side of the island, which is famous for surfing due to the strong winds coming off of the Caribbean. It was a nice change of pace from the highly active area of San Juan. When you come to Isabela, expect to get away from city life. The Haudimar condos are tucked into a secure area just off the public beaches of Aguadilla and Isabela. The area is very safe, but it is nice to have the added security of controlled access. There is a very nice swimming pool in the center of the unit for people to use. The condos also have a small basketball and tennis court near the entrance. It is also walking distance to Jobos Beach and a short drive or long walk to Shacks Beach. Both are very nice and secluded, and Jobos Beach seems to be popular with the surf crowd. Our unit was very well furnished with a fully remodeled kitchenette, a very comfortable bed and a plasma TV with DVDs to watch. The view is spectacular and can be enjoyed from the gigantic patios that are a part of each unit. I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to coming back someday.

the hotel is very small for the price we paid. we stayed in the most expensive room on the 10th…read morefloor just to find out you can hear everything happening on the rooftop because your room is right beneath the bar. chairs screech for hours until 12 midnight. the safe in our room was damaged and we were charged for it as if we did it even with us letting them know the first day the safe didn't work. they kept our deposit and didn't refund us for the noise inconvenience after agreeing to refund our resort fee. I don't recommend stay here because you pay way to much for the low quality given. the best part was the tub in the room other than that definitely not worth it.

The downside - it does NOT look like what is advertizied. The cushions on all the seats and lounge chairs are old and stained and were soaking wet so could barely use them, the pool was dirty and had to request it to be cleaned, the trash was overflowing when we arrived, the ice maker was not working, the in room massage was expensive for what we got, there is no safe passage to the beach, the outdoor furniture is not well maintained, no umbrellas, furniture old and outdated. I would not return unless they did a massive update.

The food didn't impress me. I did actually like having breakfast each morning; the eggs, french toast, and coffee were all good. But the dinner entrees we tried were big on quantity, not so big on quality. And pretty high-priced as well. We had taco dinners and a mofongo - the latter was pretty good but quite salty, and the tacos were lacking in flavor. Also can't recommend the avocado toast. One more thing: the shower took 5+ minutes to get above room temperature, and infinity minutes to reach a temperature that could be reasonably described as "hot". But other than that, solid hotel. Clean place, comfortable beds, gated parking area, and again VERY nice staff. I sincerely hope I have a chance to return!

We really wish we could've stayed here longer, but unfortunately, we were only there for one night. If we ever plan a trip to the south of PR, this is definitely where we'd stay. Mimi's is an adorable, hidden, little gem just a 15-20 minute walk from a private little beach. There are multiple guest rooms and we stayed in room Christina, which was perfect for our group of three. It had a queen or full in the main bedroom and two twins in the living area- probably would be perfect for a family. There is an A/C unit in the main bedroom and the one bathroom is in there. There's a fully equipped kitchen and a dining area as well. The rooms came with everything you need- regular towels, beach towels, extra sheets, extra pillows, etc. And they're clean too of course. There is also a nice little garden outside the building. And the nearby beach is beautiful!! David the owner was very helpful during our entire stay. He had a ton of suggestions for local spots and restaurants to hit up. The guesthouse is a little tricky to find but David provided pretty straight forward instructions so it's not so bad. I highly recommend this place to stay if you are in Guanica or nearby!
