This is the second time in a couple weeks that there computer systems are down. They should notify you . I have been a customer for years paying a 100 dollar a month membership and they should come up with a system to notify you if this happens or just fix the problem . If it wasn't for east Brunswick I would cancel membership. read more

Salon has a wide variety of tanning beds, however they clearly are not kept up with. I've noticed in numerous beds that the aqua feature just doesn't work. Even in one of the newer KBL beds. I also noticed on 3 separate occasions, in 3 different beds, a fly in my bed towards the end of my tan?? If they're trying to simulate laying on the beach in the real sun, it's working! No but really, kinda gross. If they maintained the beds more and didn't have flies I'd give a better rating. I will say one of the positives is that they're open pretty late. But overall, I'm sure there is probably a better salon somewhere nearby. read more

I have been coming here for years Always so clean and All the girls in there are so friendly and nice you can carry a conversation with them like you know them forever. I have been a beach pass member for many Years and would never think of going anywhere else. They let you freeze your membership and come back when you want and keep your same price which I think is awesome. This place is the best and I highly recommend them. read more

Beach Bum in Holmdel is by far my favorite tanning location. I went there to get sprayed for the first time (I usually do mystic tans) and Jill was amazing! She really walked me through the type of coloring offered and what would benefit my skin to make it last. I felt comfortable, satisfied with my tan, and love how it's even all over. I've gotten so many compliments of how much better it looks (compared to other places or other times I've done it). I would definitely suggest Beach Bum for any type of tan, but especially recommend Jill for spray tanning! read more

I enjoy visiting this tanning salon when I am in the area. Normally I use the Beach Bum on Staten Island which is also amazing. The salon is clean and the spray tans are amazing. I feel the price and the quality are of the highest caliber. You pay for results and they do run package specials which keep me coming back. In Holmdel I was greeted by a girl Lexi who was quite lovely. She was thorough and explained how to operate the machinery. She was knowledgeable about the products and services. I enjoy this location, it's proximity to my gym and the cleanliness of the facilities. When I return to NJ this will be the home salon. read more

First off the APP sucks ! You cannot cancel an appointment unless it's 1 hour 1 min before the appointment and it will not let you reschedule an appointment otherwise once your too close and can't cancel you can't make an appointment rest of the day with out calling the location to have them cancel you. Oh calling ? Good luck getting through ! They do not understand multitasking ! If your in line and they are helping someone in person or by phone they will act as if your not standing there (with the exception of one single person) . You can be standing there for 5min no one will greet you or even apologize for making you stand there for god knows how long. I stood behind someone being helped for 8min once no one even acknowledged me. Disgust !Nothing like excusing yourself from someone and tapping 3 buttons to let the person standing there hop into the bed-NOPE YOU WILL WAIT AS LONG AS IT TAKES . Oh back to calling it's the same thing! No one will answer the phone unless they have not a soul on line and happen to be standing there ! If your never going to answer the phone make the app more functional when it comes to canceling and rescheduling ! It also is down all together quite frequently! I would also like to add I am a paying member monthly (not so cheap prices) and when your being auto charged for a service it can become frustrating when things like this occur. read more

After being air brushed I was not dried and had splotches and marks all over my body let alone I was ORANGE!!! My color was not what i wanted. don't spend your money here read more

I went yesterday for a spray tan, and the girl who does the spray tan waited an extra half hour for me because my train was running late. She was really pleasant without seeming forced. The place is clean, and the prices are pretty much the expected price range for sunless tanning. The aren't annoyingly aggro abt trying to sell add on products and packages, so that was cool too. read more

After having bad experiences with airbrush tanning at the Staten Island location I almost gave up on airbrushing all together. I decided to give the Holmdel location a try since I work close by. I'm so glad I did because Jazmine reassured me I would be happy and she was right! She's very professional and does an amazing job airbrushing! Sadly I don't think I'll be going out of my way for this location much longer. The last 2 times I've got a spray tan here they were terrible. The girls are very sweet but clearly not trained enough. Some parts of my body there was barely any tan at all and other places were spraying so heavily they started to look like the tan was cracking. I also had white lines on the back of my arms. Thankfully the tan fades but at the same time it's so expensive to come out looking bad! read more

Absolutely LOVE this Beach Bum location! Staff is always super sweet and extremely knowledgable about tanning. I have been to many tanning salons in Jersey and this one by far is the cleanest! The seating area with couches, magazines and TV is a huge plus as well! read more

Terrible terrible- try to get a Mystic Tan here- this is the 4 th time I have tried- it's always "down" - no one knows how to fix it

Unfortunately, this location has gone downhill this season. To run a salon of this size , and have the air conditioning barely working is a disgrace. With the summer approaching, beds on all day and night, and not having the proper cooling is egregious and makes the place feel slightly unsanitary. If you inquire with the staff about the problem, the answer is the same...." I don't know." Also, some of the rooms could use a little more cleaning. It cannot be that difficult to vaccum a carpet. I have been coming to this salon for many years and the quality this year is a complete dissapointment. If you are looking to tan and almost pass out in the room, than this location is perfect!! read more
