I called first to ask what type of spray it was and she couldn't give me a straight answer. (Versa, pura, mystic etc?). I was already nervous. Upon arrival there were 3 young women working. We quickly filled out the forms and registered. I went first and she said you're all set in room 4. I asked well what level am I getting? She looked at me like I had 3 heads. I specified myself and asked you know there are certain levels such as light, medium or dark, 1,2, or 3. Then the 2nd girl answered that it's medium. Almost like she just guessed. Ok whatever - I just wanted out at this point. I went in and sprayed and felt confident. Came out looking like nothing changed, figuring they use the clear solution and it would develop over a few hours. Mind you I'm Sicilian, an olive type 4 skin tone. My husband went after me after I had to explain to him how to use it since the three girls working were obviously not interested in doing so. (Barrier cream, pat dry afterward, etc.). My husband is Irish, pale/freckled type 2 skin tone. Now here we are 18 hours later, our flight leaves shortly and neither of us have a color difference WHATSOEVER. We won't even return to use our 2nd groupon based on the experience we had. I'm now having to squeeze a trip into our local ulta to spray him myself with an aerosol tan in a can before we leave.

They acknowledged my request and said it wouldn't be a problem -- but I still got charged on the renewal date. That was frustrating, but I figured it could be resolved with a refund. The owner responded and said they'd issue one, but after that... nothing. It's been over a month with no follow-up or action, despite multiple attempts to follow up. Within five minutes, she called me back with the name of a salon in California. They went above and beyond without knowing me. They were honest with me as to what the results would look like if I did it a week ahead of time, even if it meant losing the business. When I do decide to use a tanning salon in New York, this will be the only place I will be calling. This is old school customer service at its best!
