It was too late in the day to call & have someone come fix it. They brought us a new RV the next day at 2pm. The generator was constantly going out. it never stayed on for longer than 20 minutes throughout the whole night & day. The RV was dirty when we came in and had to ask them to come clean them. We left and they told us the generators were stolen. The next day because they chose to leave the RV there over night. We had let them know what time we were leaving and they didn't come to grab the RV. No deposit was given back. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

To my surprise, we the campsite was really great and we all had a fantastic time (and no one killed each other!) We are big campers, living in Colorado, but this Nebraska campsite was really pleasant in comparison to many we've been to over the years. I credit our campsite location (78/79/80) because it was nice a shaded, not super crowded and had a beautiful view of Lake McConaughy. The sites in the front near the restroom and shower facilities were really crowded and loud, so my experience would have been much different if we were there. The bathrooms were really nice and even the outhouse near our campsite was not terrible(you know... for an outhouse!). There is a great little store at the entrance that sells pretty much anything you can think of (including coffee!!! since the person in our group in charge of the coffee decided to sleep in both mornings!! She's fired!) All in all, we had a great time and will most definitely be back!

It's not far at all off I-80, which makes it super convenient, but once you're there it feels like a whole escape. The views are absolutely beautiful -- wide open skies, calming water, and just that tranquil energy that makes you slow down and breathe a little deeper. If you're up for a tiny adventure, there's a slight climb down where you can access the caves and get closer to the water. There is almost no trash, people are super courteous and considerate. The water is still crystal blue and this year was warm. There's tons of places to enter the beach after you get through the park rangers. Can't wait to come back.
