We had a good stay at the Lakefront Express. Our trip unfortunately got off to a bit of a rocky start. The owner gave away our RV, and put us in a less optimal one. We specifically picked RV 5 based on its lot and features, so it was very disappointing to deal with that. Other than that, the location very was close to Martin Bay, which we liked. No view of the lake but it was just on the other side of the road. The RV had AC, and a few cooking supplies, fridge. All you needed. Even a deck attached. No stove- just an electric skillet - it was very slow to heat up, so we did most of our cooking on the grill. It also has a mini store and restaurant out front, so we grabbed dinner there. The food was actually not bad I thought for what I expected And was very reasonably priced. My wife wasn't a fan though - she thought it was too greasy. All in all, we'd consider coming back if the owner ensured us that we'd get the unit we booked. It was a better experience vs. north shore for sure. We did expect the owner to remedy the situation with our reservation - maybe even some money back would've helped for the hassle and it wasn't as nice either. read more

Great food! We sat outside and we were forgotten about but I forgive them because the food was much better than expected for a lake restaurant and the play area was perfect for the kids. My family especially enjoyed the chicken dry bowl and dumplings. Definitely worth a visit when you're in town! read more

For a place across the beach I didn't expect the food to be so tasty! The pho was amazing and so were the appetizers we got. (crab Rangoon and spring rolls) they also make their own ice cream, which we got for dessert. 10/10 would definitely go here again! read more

What a nice find! Located on the west side of Lake Mac. Lakefront Express offers fishing supplies, snacks, and other convenience store items you could need for our day (or days) on the lake. The food though, wow. We were so impressed, we ordered dinner from there twice! Get the pho, the skewers are solid as well. The American Chinese food is OK. Really though, the food is surprisingly good. Not at all what we were expecting, so this was a pleasant surprise. read more

Highly recommend this place! The owners are wonderful and so friendly! Great food and snacks! We love the Pho and Lomein topped off with rangoons and spring rolls. Don't forget the dessert. This place has homemade icecream and funnel cakes. My favorite is the cookies and cream smoothie with boba. I always look forward to this place opening every summer. We love to spend the day at the lake and stop by here at the end of the day for some Tornado Potatoes, boba smoothies, and ice cream with so many delicious toppings that my kids love. We have also had the funnel cakes before and those were really good too. I've heard the Pho is great too, I will have to try it next time. Amazing Thai food and a bit healthier than most places in the area. They have homemade Boba drinks as well that are always fresh and delicious! The staff are so friendly and hospitable, clean bathrooms and dining area. They have more than just food and an area for kids to go do whatever kids do. This place is seasonal ( May- Sept) and right before you go into Martin Bay. They have great Japanese style food (no sushi)! Their Pho is pretty great as well as the shrimp fried rice. Staff is really friendly too. They are so much more than a restaurant they serve ice cream, Boba drinks, have candy & other lake essentials. Outside you will find family friendly games to play. It's a favorite place for us to visit every summer - we love the pineapple ice cream! read more

Altho I'm a local Ogallala resident, never knew this out of the way place near Lake Mac existed till recently. Fishing bud & I enjoyed the pho beef noodle soup with traditional SE Asian condiments including Thai basil. Problem is, pho is more enjoyable in colder weather, and this eatery is only open in the Summer. I've had better, but here in the midwest as good as it gets. read more
