They did flooring, a brand new kitchen and bathroom, tile work, painting, electrical, plumbing, and several custom carpentry projects, including a large banquette facing the ocean. Everything was first class. Brooke is a great communicator - she responded to every email promptly and thoroughly, and we always felt listened to and taken care of. When questions arose, we would get an email or a call, asking us how we wanted things done. Brooke and Matt would meet with us at their office or at our condo to go over details. Matt is an artist at what he does, and an absolute perfectionist. When our shower tile was halfway complete, Matt was not satisfied with how it was turning out. He had the subcontractor take the tile off and start over, and the end result is beautiful. Were there hiccups? Of course, every project has them. But the bottom line is how those challenges, surprises, and changes are handled. We always felt in the loop, and all the challenges were met with quality (and sometimes very creative) solutions. Every detail of our new place is just to our liking - we could not be more pleased. You might be able to find cheaper contractors out there, but Matt and Brooke will treat you like old friends, and will do the job as if you are family.

However, the owner was not as upfront and informative as he shoud have been. We called to get a breaker replaced for the water heater. He sent a truck to our home with two service technicians. Long story short, he admitted that it was a one person job but since he had two techs in the truck he billed us for both. The bill was 750.00 to replace one breaker. When we complained, he said, "I'm sorry we are to expensive for you." If I was told that two technicians were coming and being billed as such, I would have called another company. You decide for yourself if this is fair business or not.

Just like the other tech he was focused, efficient, swift in the matter while being customer friendly as well. Thank you Isak!. Just as any other company JJ electric Service is a combination of the people who do the work per se and those managing the work. The two people with whom I connected were Richard and Jen. Just as their techs, they communicate well with the customers, and show transparency and honesty about what they can or cannot do. I sued and won but it took nearly a year to prevail as he stonewalled me, abused me in depositions, and missed the first court date. He talks a good game. Do not fall for it.

The job was completed inside my parameters and was performed as promised. My only complaint was the lack of clean up upon completion. There was insulation throughout the house. I understand some residue in the attic access area however I spent an hour cleaning up after them. Apparently used an upstairs window to get the blower hose upstairs. The mini blind was not put back up after removal and was laying on the window sill. Sloppy workmanship and apparently no supervision.

Quite possibly the rudest people we've ever had the misfortune of working with. Had "Meech" come…read moreover and do an estimate for new crawlspace insulation (after having removed the existing insulation by hand to prep for beetle fumigation, because they never responded to our request in 2018 to do a bid). We thought it was strange that when he showed up, not only didn't he give a business card, he didn't even go into the crawlspace to assess the situation, and see if anything special needed to be done. He just said "oh I've been doing this a long time I can just take measurements". We then received an estimate via email from "Colline Guerrero" last week and responded immediately asking for when their availability was to actually do the work. She never responded to multiple attempts to contact. Finally my husband messaged Meech late Monday to see what was going on and he called me and got me on the schedule. The office (Colline?) then called my husband and asked him how we were planning to pay, he said by credit card, and then she asked him for his credit card information to pay for it. Nowhere on the estimate were payment terms and never were we provided with an invoice for payment, so naturally we asked for those in writing and to email us an invoice so we have something professional in writing to go by. THEY REFUSED TO CREATE AN INVOICE FOR PAYMENT! She literally told my husband that they were not able to do that "because we're a national company", and I got on the phone at that point because as a small business owner I know it takes literally 30 seconds to put together and send a customer an invoice for deposit - I do it all the time. She said she would only send an invoice AFTER a payment was made, showing she clearly does not understand basic bookkeeping. She put Meech on the phone and he was horrific, and told us he was going to take us off the schedule because "they don't create invoices for customers". We told him that if they don't even have the basic professionalism to send an invoice for payment and include their payment terms on their estimates, we sure as hell were not letting them onto our property. They could clearly give a crap about running an ethical business. What a bunch of slimeballs.
