A few weeks ago, Glasco crew in Seaside, OR came out to replace a shared fence w/a neighbor. Terrific job! So much I requested an estimate for another job which turned into a contract. On Monday, the crew showed up later (as requested!), did the job quickly, efficiently, professionally w/respect and outstanding customer service. These company does a lot more than just glass work. Heather (scheduler) has a customer service "degree"!!! She was / is astonishing and both the crews who did the work could not have done better. On a scale of 1-5....I'd give 'em a 6! read more

Paid big bucks for glass awnings over our deck and glass railings. Under3 years glass awnings are sliding off - potentially to crash on people/dogs and deck. Huge safety issue. Multiple calls for them to repair. Manager/owner in meetings, no calls back. More calls, - someone will call back - but they don't. Eventually after another call, we're told, "no warranty " not interested in fixing. They are too busy. We're not ones to leave negative comments but this company has taken our money and left us with a serious safety issue. read more

Shower door we had installed was such poor quality it failed in just 2 years and we had it replaced by another glass shop. Owner said his warranty was only a year, even though he built the shower incorrectly. We were very lucky no one injured when the shower started dismantling from the frame. The owner offered no solution, told me we could report him to the Oregon Contractor Board, and he attitude was it wasn't his problem. Terrible customer service, terrible workmanship. read more

Wonderful company to deal with - professional and fast. Price was right for replacing a huge window , double paned - other glass companies wanted to replace the whole window, but Glasco cut exactly the one pane and installed it in just a few days. Came when they said they would, response time was quick, saved me a bundle by replacing just what needed to be replaced. I can't recommend them highly enough. I highly recommend this company! I live in the small town of Rockaway Beach and I have had five different contractors to my house the majority of them just disappearing, ghosting me after they said they would send me a bid. I have spent wasted months on contractors. A couple of them that actually gave me a bid were ridiculous. I questioned all of them on replacing some windows because I didn't understand why they had to rip out the entire frame and they couldn't just replace the glass. I was told that I had to get all new frames and it was going to cost well over $10,000! Glasgow came out and confirmed what I thought that yes you can just replace the glass. They came out two days after I called them, they received the glass within 3 days or so and came out immediately and did the job. I have had nothing but bad experiences in the last 3 years with contractors and glass companies etc. and this company provided excellent customer service. Ken and Austin were wonderful! read more

Jean and Glasco did an amazing job replacing all railings surrounding the exterior of my riverfront home in Portland. I replaced my original steel railings to glass railings which were better suited as they allowed the view of the river to show. Jean was very professional, organized, on time, pro-active and honest. He always told me the truth and his work speaks for itself. He finished the time in a timely fashion and good quality work. Seriously please don't advertise it right on your Yelp site that you offer window installation when you call and Gene says that all they do is replace glass. Then he tried to tell me (which I'm not sure why considering he said they don't even offer installation!) that you have to remove the siding to replace windows which is not true as we've personally replaced 7 windows already in our house and the only time our siding had to be pulled up a little was when we replaced the trim on a couple. Anyhow the two stars are because of advertising both on their website and their Yelp page & category that they do residential window installation when they don't :( read more

I recently had a wonderful experience with this company and the owner Jean. I had several failed windows replaced for my beach home in Manzanita. The company took measurements the same day I called, ordered the glass, and had the work done very promptly. The initial order missed one window, but Jean got it ordered quickly, and his team even drove halfway to PDX to pick it up when it missed the morning delivery from Portland so it could be installed while I was in town. When the bill came to me in the mail, it was higher than the initial verbal quote. Jean admitted that he had underquoted me for the initial quote, but instead of pushing the mistake onto me, made it right and charged me the original quote figure. Such a pleasure to do business with an operator with such integrity. Highly recommended. read more

Don't waste your time with this company, they have no concept of customer service and are grossly incompetent. But enough with the good about this company. HORRIBLE PLACE. Even if they beat a price somewhere else DO NOT GO TO. The owner Jean is probably the worst business owner we have came across. Got a window installed September, offered to write a check same day & they said no they will just mail us a bill. Remind you they installed this window at OUR HOUSE. Never got a bill here comes November & they are now calling my mom who originally got a quote, nothing to do with ordering, or scheduling. Jean now states he never had a way to contact us after talking multiple times on the phone to schedule!! Also they have our address! States they sent us a bill 3 times that is now late. Read our wrong address. We have called their office asked for calls back from him, the office lady just tells us there is no reason for a call back. He now wants payment same night because he is back from vacation, still no bill in the mail. Says he has gone to the courthouse to send us to collections & was sending collections in my moms name who he said the court says owns the house. Never once has her name been on anything. When we say we will pay next day, he stays that is not good enough & is going to send it to collection anyways. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

Called about taking a look at our front door. They said they had no idea when they would be able to come out and that they would call me back. THEY NEVER DID. I had to call back two more times just to get something scheduled. They said they could repair it and then NEVER SHOWED UP. When I called to simply ask why they never came and try to reschedule a man named Gene yelled at me and then hung up on me. Please do not waste your time with this company. I was seriously impressed with the honesty, efficiency, friendliness, and professionalism of everyone I came in contact with at Glasco. We had to replace the glass in three double-pane windows and a sliding deck door. I'd been told by other sources that we'd just have to replace the door. Gene saved us a chunk of change by replacing the glass and repeated that gift be explaining how we could repair rather than replacing the storm door in front of the house. I've been a homeowner for over 40 years and been thru repairs, renovations, and new construction. These folks are on the short list of genuinely outstanding experiences. read more

These guys were awesome! We have 1/2 inch shower doors that kept collapsing at the top and banging into each other to the point that they chipped. These guys ( and I'm terrible with names but I think Pete was the main engineer) completely solved our problem! Love them read more

Dorie, Gene and all their crew are friendly, conscientious, and knowledgeable people. We needed 4 failed windows replaced (purchased elsewhere). Gene himself came out with an assistant; he measured and left a written estimate - all in about 20 minutes. When our ordered glass arrived, we had out-of-town guests, so Glasco warehoused our glass until a more convenient week for installation. They did make one error concerning the interior grid on one window, which they immediately corrected when we emailed. The bill was the same as the estimate and they gave us a written copy (pdf) of the warranty. We are extremely pleased and happy to recommend them. read more

Poor service. Requested an estimate for work at a house just 5 blocks from them. Was told they would get to it within 2 weeks but never received a call back. Called 3 times to follow up and even stopped by. Got tired of chasing after them and finally called another local glass company and they took care of it within a week. read more

They did a project in Chinook, I called them to ask if they could supply the info on the exit devices they used. They did not know, but, would contact the people they got the doors from that they installed. Gave them my email address to send me the info. This went on for several weeks, nothing. So I called and asked for the phone # of the door Company they used and no, they would not give me that info. The next time I called, I was told they sent the email, I have been checking my spam folder to make sure I did not miss it. I was told they would send it again, that day, nothing. Called again, had the end user call them, nothing. I asked for info to bid a job to the end user, nothing. I had asked Gene for business cards to give out to the customers who need his service. After this experience, I would not recomend these people if my ass was on fire read more

Glassco was notified on 03062018 that the deck railing with glass insert was not acceptable, a 5 and 1/4 inch edge of glass had splintered off the top outer edge of one glass and sloppy installation had left scratches that bare metal on some of the railing. On or about the 15th of March, a company rep came to my home, looked at that above, took pictures and told me it would take about 2 weeks to get the glass ordered and that he would send someone with rubbing compound to see what could be rubbed out and then determine if rails need to be replaced. None of this has happened. On my next call to the office, the office manager knew nothing of this issue and she is the person who orders the glass! I have made a total of 8 calls to this company and become more angry with each with answers like "he is not in the office" to "the glass is not covered" and "we are tired of your calls". I filed a complaint with the BBB this am. Cost of this deck railing was $4,396.00. read more

I called Glasco on a Friday to have them give me an estimate for window screens. They said the would be in my area to install a window the following Monday and would swing by and take a look. After a couple of weeks I selected another company to do the screens because I never received a bid from Glasco. Seven weeks after I asked for an estimate Glasco left screens on my front porch where they could clearly see that screens were already in place. I sent them a letter telling them that the screens were on the front porch and they could pick them up and that they were not authorized to make screens only give me an estimate. Now they are threatening to send me to collections because I have not paid for the screens. As it is illegal to collect a debt that you have no documentation that you are owed and they have provided no documentation that they are owed this debt this will probably end up with a legal action against them. To add insult to injury the price that want to charge me is almost double what I actually paid for them. read more
