I cannot say enough good things about Beach Crossers. If you need anything for handicap accessibility in Puerto Vallarta look no further than Beach Crossers. You will not be disappointed. I am a C-5/6 quadriplegic and I use a power wheelchair, which makes transportation a major challenge. My husband and I were searching the web for handicapped accessible transportation in Puerto Vallarta, when we came across Beach Crossers. Daniel called the number and was surprised to find a warm, upbeat American voice on the line. Terri ensured him that they would be at the airport to pick us up and the rates were based off of local taxi rates. No deposit. No credit card number. We just needed to send them our flight information. Our last trip to Mexico we had to pay more than $100 one way from the airport to the resort, paying half down one week in advance. Sure enough when we were making our way out of the airport, there was Terri standing there with a big smile on her face and a sign with my husband's name on it in her hands. She helped us with our bags out to the handicapped accessible minivan with Sherri at the wheel. We asked if we could stop and get something to drink, and they said they would take us by Wal-Mart because it was on the way. They shared information about Puerto Vallarta explaining what was accessible and what wasn't. They were a wealth of information. They encouraged us to go in and take our time. After our shopping, they took us on to the resort and they said the charge was $30! My husband and I along with another couple that we met at the resort ended up calling them for an outing one day. Sherri dove us up into the jungle, took us shopping and to a locally owned Tequila Distillery Tour. It was such a fun day due in no small part to Sherri driving us and showing us where to go. She took all four of us around for hours on a private tour essentially and charged us only $100. Their prices are so reasonable. They are a God send! Later in the week, they took us to the Malecon for an evening out at the night clubs and told us to stay out as long as we wanted and they would be there to pick us up and take us back to the resort. They stayed in the area with friends to be close by when we were finished with our fun. The generosity of their time was amazing. We also rented a beach chair from them. The beach chair was a game changer for me, I was not only able to go on the beach but get in the ocean. Something I had not been able to do in more than a decade. Our vacation would have been subpar a best without Beach Crossers, who helped make it a fantastic and memorable trip. read more

A great company run by two very friendly and helpful women. They are American, so no language barriers to conquer. My husband has Parkinson's which has affected his mobility. We rented the beach wheelchair earlier this month. My husband gets bored sitting around the pool. This is all he could have done if we had not rented the beach wheelchair. Thanks to Beach Crossers he was able to enjoy the beach everyday of our vacation. We were also able to see the new Malecon (not so new anymore), thanks to Beach Crossers handicapped accessible transportation services. Beach Crossers has two vans with wheelchair ramps to take you anywhere you wish to go in the Banderas Bay Area. Beach Crossers does not believe in overcharging their customers just because they are handicapped. Their transportation fares are based upon the local Taxi rates. So why not use their transportation services instead of a taxi? It made it much easier to roll my husband into the van instead of transferring him from his wheelchair onto a taxi seat. If you want to get out and explore, it is possible with their wheelchair equipped vans. Group tours are not possible for the handicapped and their caregivers. With a taxi, the transporting into and out of the cab would have been too much work to go out. Beach Crossers does airport pickup and drop offs are well. Made my trip a lot more pleasant knowing I did not have to transfer my husband between the wheelchair and a cab. Beach Crossers really understands the needs of the handicapped and they are willing to do almost anything to make your vacation more enjoyable. They are eager to help. The sisters who own the company used to travel a lot with their handicapped mother. So they understand the needs of handicapped travelers and provide their services from the heart. They are always looking for new ways to service the handicapped visitors to Puerto Vallarta. If you need something, just ask. Up until now, there were no handicapped services in Puerto Vallarta area. I will be utilizing their services again next time we visit Vallarta. I plan to hire them as my private tour guides next time. They are a godsend to the handicapped visitors and caregivers of Puerto Vallarta. They saw a strong need when they started this company a year ago and they are doing a great job fulfilling this need. read more

You know that freedom that you felt when you got your driver's licence and took the car out for the first time? You no longer had to ask for someone to take you where you needed to go or go someplace when it was convenient for someone else.You could now go where you want when you wanted. That is the kind of freedom that I was able to enjoy during my last vacation to Puerto Vallarta. I have post-polio syndrome and walk with the aid of crutches and braces on both legs. Normally when I travel I use a manual wheelchair to navigate the airports,hotels and resorts on vacation and this presents numerous problems, with long distances to push over uneven walkways, steep ramps and self-serve buffets. This vacation I was fortunate to discover beachcrossers.com and I rented a Jazzy powerchair from them. The lift it gave to my vacation was amazing. I could get to places quickly and without tiring myself out and I could even fetch food and drinks for myself and my wife and friends. It was so empowering. The sisters, Terrie and Sheri that run this company are great people.They deliver and pick up on time and make sure that everything is working and suitable for your needs. I cannot say enough great things about these 2 ladies (Terri and Sherri) that run Beachcrossers in Puerto Vallarta. My sisters and i took our mom along on this vacation. She suffered a stroke over 5 years ago and is in a wheelchair. We rented a mobile scooter from Beachcrossers to go to El Malecon with my mom and a sand wheelchair so that my mom could get her feet in the ocean. Both chairs served their purpose wonderfully and allowed my mom to enjoy her vacation to the fullest. They gave us a ride to El Malecon and back to our resort and also got us to the airport when it was time to leave. Highly recommend. We recently traveled to Puerto Vallarta with my father whom has ALS. The pick up and drop off of the chair couldn't have been any easier! Terrie even met us 2 days into the trip to deliver a second wheel chair as we needed a little more assistance getting around the place we rented. The beach wheel chair was great. My dad is about 220lbs and we had no issues getting him through the sand and for him to enjoy some days at the beech.
