I did not realize her whining was pain until she jumped up front and I saw blood and she she started getting sick. Groomer said they would never have sent her home like that. Well they temporarily stopped the bleeding but it didn't last. When I got home had to call vet to find out how to stop bleeding. Blondie's said bring her back. NO, I will take her to vet if it doesn't stop. She has laid on my lap and cried now all that afternoon and next day. Today I got a better look and two of her nails are an 8th of an inch long. Look at a measuring tape and tell me that is okay! It's not. She will not be returning. Report card said she was great and did everything asked of her. In 11 1/2 years I have never had this happen.

I said that I wanted to have his head trimmed into a Scottie head from all his hair. Whomever I spoke to told me that that would not take very long and decided to schedule it as a "nail appointment" It does not take someone who is proficient very long to do a Scottie head trim as one is just trimming cheeks, ears and a little on the throat and cutting eyebrows. I should have realized I was not dealing with someone who was familiar with Scotties when she asked how big he was. When we went in for his appointment, much to my horror, I discovered that it is also a pseudo dog care and there were loose dogs in the grooming area. I let her know that my dog is not to interact with other dogs and, while she did pick him up, three other dogs were able to interact with him. NOT a desired event for a service dog! I should have left when, as she was looking at him, she told me that he looked just fine for a Scottie head trim. NO, he currently looks like a Westie, not a Scottie with very hairy cheeks! She took a look at the grooming book then decided I needed to make an appointment. I DID make an appointment and was VERY specific about what I had and what I wanted. I did not say anything this morning that I had not said when we spoke! I appreciate your call to apologize.

When they left a voicemail that he was ready for pick up, the lady finished the call with "what the fuck was that..." CLICK! I walked out of the "shop" with a blue plastic bag as if I had picked my dog up a bone or toy from the pet shop. The sincerity should be no different if you're picking up your family member vs. a precious family member (animal). I will never deal with Petland in the future and will be making a formal complaint with the owner!

It is a great little haven for dog lovers and cat lovers too. While I didn't get a chance to spend as much time as I would've liked to have (we got there close to closing time) I was impressed with the selection of things that they did have and since Seabrook has a lot of pet people, the store is incredibly beneficial for travelers who forget things. We needed a collar for our dog and found the cutest one ever there. While I was there a gentleman came in looking for a kennel and I didn't think they would have something like that but he walked out with one and he seemed very happy and relieved. Great little store and the staff is super nice and helpful.

It took 2 weeks to see someone. They do recommend driving to Olympia due to how busy they are. As I walked in, I noticed both receptionists were handling back to back phone calls. People were running in and out of the exam rooms. This is at 11am on a weekday. I believe they are the only vet in town. So if you need an emergency appt, you are better off driving to Olympia. If it's just vaccinations or something routine.. and you can wait. It's about 1/2 the price I paid in Auburn, WA. They do take care credit. Direct and honest communication from vet and techs. No fluff and nothing out of the ordinary. Nothing spectacular and no complaints. This is my first visit. I will update as I live here longer.

Dr Steele was very compassionate and kind to both the humans and their companions. Since Dr Steele sold the business to an out-of-state owner, things have gone downhill and continue to do so. There has been no permanent veterinarian for about one year and they rely on visiting vets from 2 hours away. The last time I took my little dogs in for their wellness visits, one of the techs dragged my little guy by the leash across the waiting room floor to get on the weight scale. She could have easily picked him up and placed him on the scale. More recently, the visiting vet said my little guys needed dental cleaning - I received an estimate of $3,000 - $4,000 each. That included 3 - 4 hours under anesthesia - for a dental cleaning!! It the past the dental work took 30 - 60 minutes and cost +/- $1,000. Then when I needed a prescription refill, they charged me 4 times the price that I could have spent on chewy. I understand a premium for the local service, but 4x is outrageous. Hold onto your wallet if you dare to go there.

Arms full of merchandise, my wife was masked and observing social distancing while she waited patiently for a family making a purchase to get checked out. After the clerk checked them out she excused herself to help a man still shopping. My wife placed her items on the counter and waited. And waited. I was on the other side of the store while our dog met another cute little dog. When the man and the clerk approached the counter the clerk said to my wife that she was going to take care of him first! This encouraged the man to push into my wife's space abandoning any social distancing etiquette. Mind you, my wife was not asked she was dismissed with a curt disdain like she didn't matter as long as the clerk could keep eagerly talking to this man. Was she pushed aside because she was a smaller Asian woman? We'll never know. My wife stepped aside and I went over to her. She was upset and wanted to abandon the purchase completely. We left the store and I went back in the at least let the lady know why we not completing the purchase and why we would never shop there again. Perhaps predictably, she was full of excuses saying in essence that my waiting wife was secondary to the man she was helping to complete a selection. Soured by this experience, we left Seabrook skipping our usual snack and/or lunch when we visit. Because of this clerk, the other businesses lost out, too. As I noted before, others have had bad customer experiences here. Thing is, people go to Seabrook for the experience not for this clerk that evidently lacks manners let alone forcing the an interaction that flouted social distancing protocols. We can get pet merchandise anywhere so now that the experience of being there is ruined, there is no reason to return. Like others, I am sure this review will trigger a defensive and patronizing response that takes no ownership.
