I walked up to the receptionist, hoping for some guidance women to women. I told her, "This is my first time getting a tan and I'm on my period, I don't know how any of this works" and she looked me up and down in disgust and said, "just don't get any blood in my room." I was mortified. As I was awaiting my turn to tan, I called my mom, pacing back and forth in the lobby out of anger when I heard her shout from the back room, "Can you stop doing that?! It's distracting!!" After I finished tanning, I let the same receptionist know that I left some tissue papers at the bottom of her bin and that she might want to change that. She yet again, looked me up and down in disgust, sighed "ugh" and walked away. A few days ago, after being told repeatedly that her behavior was not okay and that I need to report her, I went back to get her name. As I was explaining to her how uncomfortable and gross she made me feel, she was giggling the entire time and at the very end when I told her I was going to email the manager she said, "I'm sure he'll respond" in a sarcastic manner with the smuggest look on her face. I will never be going back to turbo tans after how that woman made me feel. Expecting guidance woman to woman, and instead I got shunned.

When I saw her, she was distraught and showed me her splotchy skin and lines that ran down her legs that were not tanned. When she asked the company for a refund they initially told her no and insinuated that the splotchy-ness was her fault (as a woman who had had over 30 spray tans, I'm inclined to believe my friend knew how to properly care for a spray tan). Then they said they would give her a full refund, and then again later, they changed it to store credit. After noticing that many of our friends posted negative reviews on the company's Facebook page "on the glo", this company threatened my friend with court for defamation and slander if the reviews were not removed, as well as all of the negative reviewers. After this their site went down. When it came back up, all negative reviews had been removed. Terrible customer service. I will never go there. Word of mouth is a beast. I never get spray on tan and after seeing hers, I never will. It's like you don't know how to color in the lines. Shame on North Pole for giving this woman a business licence. Major disappointment.
