The salon is beautiful and clean. The service is outstanding. Came here and got the hot stone with gel. And my dude got a hot stone pedi. The massage chairs are very nice and comfy and the nail tech did a wonderful job on my nails. Although it is a little pricey I would still recommend this place. For two pedis and one having gel French tips we spent 170 before tip. Like I said it's a little more expensive than what I'm used to in the lower 48 but still worth it. read more

I'm honestly disappointed and I hate to do a review like this but I ended up paying $120 for a lady to do a gel mani/pedi with no acrylic. The nail tech was nice but she has super aggressive hands. it was like she was trying to sand the skin off my feet until it bleeds. then when she did my fingers she cut them so short into my nail bed. the polish isn't even not even and it's bumpy. she cut my skin in like a million spots and then proceeded to keep using acetone over fresh cuts. and when I went to pay she took my card out of my hand and just charged my card. The machine was on the customer side of the counter. she didn't even give me an opportunity to question the price. I know dang well it she didn't charge me the correct price. read more

Went in around a week ago with my husband. We called that morning and had an appointment at 5pm that afternoon. It was not busy at all. I'm currently in my last weeks of pregnancy and was really looking forward to a nice pedicure for the first time in forever ...... I was the first one done on what seemed a very rushed job (I honestly should've timed it). Didn't even realize I was getting the "massage" portion and it was over. It was more of a light pat down. I'm glad I only paid for the $40 pedi for my husband and I because I could not imagine it being worth even that. My husband's experience was filled with pain and I will leave it at that. Will be looking for better options in Fairbanks in the future. I will say, the place was clean and the smell was not the typical overpowering nail salon smell which was great for my pregnant nose. read more

Elegant Nails always hits the spot. It's hard to find a good mani/pedi in Fairbanks but driving out to North Pole is so worth it. This place is awesome, I've had a few different people, John most recently, and every person I've had has put care and consideration into my nails. The pedis feel amazing and the scrubs are ‍ John was attentive and personable. I'm picky with my manicures and kept asking for something very specific and John was able to do so. This nail salon quality wasn't up to my standards...I was recommended here by several people, but was told to see "Lynn" unfortunately Lynn wasn't there so I had some lady who apparently is new name Kim. She did a pedicure, acrylic nails + polish, and eyebrows for me. Pedicure: Was okay I got the deluxe, but it lack quality in the sense she poorly massaged and didn't focus on my heel or dry skin area when scrubbing. I clearly requested that. Since I'm new to the area and been searching for a nail place for a month my feet were rough "exactly why I chose the deluxe". Nails: VERY VERY rough and messy. She left me with a cut, left acrylic all over my hand and fingers, and missed the edges of my nails when polishing. And on top of that she caught an attitude when I chose not to have gel polish. I don't like to be pushed into things I know the quality of gel polish it's what I always get, but since I was just giving this nail salon a try I didn't get it this time. She told me it was the same price as regular polish and it wasn't I ask her several times and her answer kept changing. Smh I didn't buy it and check the prices myself. Eyebrows: Originally wanted wax and tinting. First she told me they did tint when I walked in and then that they didn't when it was time to do my eyebrows. She waxed my eyebrows very rough and turned my head back and forth like I was a rag doll. I always got threading and this is my first wax in years. Matters worst I hate my eyebrows she made one corner almost bald and both very thin. Overall, I think this lady made my experience unenjoyable from the way her mood changed and her quality in working. I'm not cheap so I still tipped her for her time, but I may only return to give Lynn a try this time I will call to make sure she is there. Let me just start off by saying, I am so happy with the services I received here. My nail tech was amazing, did everything I asked and really went above and beyond. She was super friendly and very funny. I would have given this place a 5 star if she was a little more upfront with pricing. She was so informative about everything else I was surprised at the end total. I thought she would have told me if anything I got was extra. I didn't think I had anything extra but since I didn't ask, the onus is on me. Learn from my mistakes and pay attention to the little plus marks next to the prices. They mean something! I'm adding an update to my below review and making it 3 stars instead of 2. Lan was great and took a lot of time with me on my pedicure. She apologized for my previous experience. She is great at the massage. I will say, however, that I find it unprofessional to ask someone to delete their review of their business. I'm happy to modify my review based on more positive experiences but I don't think you should outright ask a customer to delete their review. Let your service speak for itself. That being said, I highly recommend Lan (pronounced Lane)! She's fun to chat with and does great work. Original review: It's completely hit or miss here. Since there are only 2 options in North pole, I normally go here based on a bad wax experience at the other place. The most recent time I went for a gel pedicure, they didn't tell me the gel was an additional 20 something dollars on top of the $25 spa pedicure. While she was doing my pedicure she asked if I wanted my callus removed so I said yes not realizing it was an additional $8 so this was the most expensive mediocre pedicure I've ever had. Also whatever chemical she use on my feet while removing the callus cause my toes to start burning and I did some research after I left and realized that I had a chemical burn from whatever cheap chemicals they are using. There was an employee walking around clearly with a miserable cold and she would cough and sneeze without covering her mouth. I almost asked if they could just let her go home because she was obviously miserable and I didn't want to catch her cold. I've had other experiences there where they were very happy to have me and did a great job but most of the time they are in a rush to get you in and out and they charge for every little thing. read more

Ok so I got my nails done for my birthday right, The workers were really nice. I honestly feel bad for writing this review because they were so nice. But unfortunately I'm just really unimpressed. I got my nails done at four and by the next morning my nails were already chipping. And honestly that wasn't even what phased me. The next day (today) I go to open the door to my house and my nail just breaks in half. Of course I added a little pressure when pulling the door open but not enough for her to totally break off like it did. As well as the nail polish is a little clumpy in the lines on my French tip aren't even straight. Just wish I had better service the day I went. read more

Horrible horrible experience. I'm visiting from out of state and decided to go here even though a friend told me not to. I'm usually not confrontational and hate speaking up for myself but I decided to during my visit and when I said something that I didn't like the nail tech shook her head as if I was wrong and did not change what I requested. For example, I asked her to fix my big toe because it looked bad and she shook her head and left it as it was. Well, I wish that was the worst part. I ended up leaving there spending $78 and only have a (chipped) French tip on my toes. Yes, that's all. No, the French tip isn't gel either. I'll calculate for you what the lady calculated for me. Gel removal on my fingernails $10, gel removal on my toes (even though I got my toes redone just not with gel) $10. So we're at $20 right now. Well, she then said pedicures are $30 but a French tip is an additional $15 + she charged me $8 to use the cheese grater thing for dead skin. I've never been charged to use that before, have you? Ok so if you're good at math you're probably realizing that's $73. Well she charged me $68 (either a thank you is in order for the $5 discount or she was making up prices and doesn't even realize it didn't total what she was saying) as I've already mentioned I hate confrontation so instead of calculating everything for myself right there I tipped $10 (making my total visit $78) and left feeling completely ashamed and taken advantage of. Drive the extra few minutes to go into town, convenience isn't worth it. read more

I went here on a Tuesday afternoon for a gel manicure and pedicure. I was told to sign in then told to pick a color for my toes on the indicated wall of polish. I asked about the gel and a vague gesture was made. I sat in the chair and realized they had put the huge selection of gel colors on the top of the pedicure station. The water was nice and warm for the pedicure. The manicure began quickly so I was twisting and turning to have both happen at the same time. The big challenge is that they don't have a tray or rolling table for the gel so they put the light on my lap with a pillow. My legs were moving in and out of the water so I kept having to try to keep the light from falling into the water and moving my feet to where he wanted them while the pillow blocked my view of my feet. They have a huge gel selection but were out of the first two colors I chose. My nails look pretty good but weren't given a final check so I had to file a few rough spots when I got home. The main reasons I won't return was that the whole process was not relaxing. I was not greeted or spoken to in a friendly way at all. I was given clear directions and was out the door in an hour. I am new to town and was looking for a nice, friendly, relaxing place to get my nails done. While very efficient, this visit was not enjoyable and certainly not cheap. read more

Took my daughters in this morning. Upon pulling up the guy was outside smoking, and flipped his cigarette butt into a parking spot with about 50 other cigarette butts. My 11 year old had a great person work on her, but the guy who did my 17 year olds nails would not listen to her. She wanted a basic glitter and knew that it would mostly look like a clear coat with a few glitter sparks. That is what she wanted because she cheers and cant have full color. He kept suggesting to put a color under and she kept saying no. At least 3 times she said she only wanted the glitter. He proceeded to put a purple color on her nail to go under the glitter. By that point my daughter was tired of telling him no, it was obvious he was not listening and barely spoke English so she let him finish just to be done with it and get out of there. Now we have to go buy stuff to take the gel polish off because purple is a rival school color! Very disappointed.
