She chose a sitter that Had an elderly dog as well and it made me feel so much more comfortable. We had a meet and greet to make sure my dog was comfortable and he was friendly with other dogs. They got along great! So when it was time for our vacation Prince enjoyed his stay and met new friends. He was comfortable in a home with someone who gave him love and outside time and extra snuggles. I loved that Tara sent me photos and videos of Prince playing while on vacation. She sent me updates everyday and let me know that he made a BFF. She gave him his allergy medicine every morning and he was happy and healthy when we got him back. I will be using them again! This is my first dog and my boyfriend's first puppy - while we were doing OK with some training we were starting to struggle with consistency, walking him on a leash and not being pulled, etc. We were watching YouTube videos, following training accounts on social media, and getting lots of conflicting messages! Over the last 6 weeks, Bruce's trust-based approach has had a great impact on how we interact with our dog and how he responds! He got to know our dog and adjusted what we were focusing on each week to tailor to his strengths and needs. Plus, he made it more palatable and fun for us and our pup. Through quick 2-minute games throughout the day, we gained consistency with our training and strengthened our bond with our boy. I hate leaving bad reviews especially for a small business however this was such a negative…read moreexperience it needs to be said. Our dog participated in board and train for reactivity. Here was our experience: * Bruce seemed very kind and like he was skilled but I think he either just had too much going on in his personal life to take a board and train at that time OR took more dogs in for training than he said he would. It was supposed to be one on one board and training * We did not receive regular updates or photos as promised. The communication was very limited and concerning * It took significantly longer to get our dog back than the scheduled amount of time. * Our dog had a medical issue during the stay and we were not informed * When we got our dog back they were emaciated, Bruce stated this was normal because he doesn't feed dogs during training, and only feeds them when he is actively training. However it was alarming and you could see their bones * Our dog came back with bite wounds from another dog and was very different personality wise. It was as if they had PTSD. Overall, Bruce was always kind but we had an awful experience and it was troubling as a pet owner. I cannot recommend the services. I hope others and their fur babies had a better experience than ours.
