When I keep insisting it cannot be happened and the damage is obvious to say that the towing car's did it. And What the officer, or the representative of the company said??? Is there anyone can make that damage by kicking the front bumper???? Also, he said "you can not call 911 for this reason since we cannot do anything for this. 911 exists for emergency. I've been there front desk police said you can not get anything from here. you need to go parking department.WOW. And I went back to the place where my car was towed, and talked to the officer who was issuing new parking tickets, she told me to talk to towing company. NO ONE HELPED ME. The man that towed my car was completely rude. We were eating dinner for my birthday and we were visiting from out of town. We go outside to see that our car was gone and someone else's car was being towed. Their car was hooked on, but they arrived. He would not let them take the car and even started shouting at them some crude things. We had to uber to the towing place and then they would not give us the car and would not understand. It was a rental car and they would not understand. My parents had to wait at the restaurant it got towed from and it was around midnight when we could pick them up and we didn't even get the car back. We went back the next day and they said we couldn't get the car back and we even went to the car dealership and we couldn't do anything. So basically for the rest of the trip we had no car because we couldn't get it back. Probably to just have my car sit there so they could collect more money. First time I called they said my car wasn't there and it was at Fremont, then I called and told them to look in their yard. Sure enough it was there. Then I asked what I need to do to get the car, they said to come by and sign release papers, I came by then they said I needed a NOTARIZED letter! Then I do all that then I get there and the car was there for 8 days but they charged 9!!!! And never once did they tell me they only take cash but when I went to withdrawal the $600 in cash the ATM didn't even work I had to go to their competitor to get cash! They towed our rental from a parking lot after maybe 20 minutes, then we call to try and pick up our vehicle they tell us only the rental company can come pick up the vehicle even after explaining to them that all our stuff was in the vehicle and we had flights leaving Miami tomorrow, the rental place was also closed for the weekend so we had no way to contact them. Long story short came back after 40 minutes top and my vehicle was towed by those guys. There is nobody to talk to and they charge me $283 to get my car back!!! My friends and I were on South Beach enjoying a nice evening. When we were ready to go home, my best friend realized her car was missing. Upon closer examination, we realized she parked in a tow away zone. Not the tow company's fault, I know. It was the experience of RETRIEVING the car that gave this place a one star rating. We promptly got the name and numbers of the only two tow companies on Miami Beach. We called Beach Towing Service first and they told us the car wasn't in their possession. So we tried calling the other tow company (and we were unsuccessful reaching them). We ended up driving to the other company, only to be informed that the car wasn't there. We called Beach Towing Service back and what do you know? THE CAR WAS THERE THE WHOLE TIME. They sent us out on a wild goose chase that wasted 45 minutes of our time (and at the end of the evening, when all you want to do is go to sleep, every minute counts). We arrived at Beach Towing Service and spent the next 20 minutes getting ripped off. TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS FOR A TOW?!?! Seriously? It was $115 for the actual tow and then another $135 for extraneous fees ($35 fee because it was after 8pm? SERIOUSLY?). Oh - and they only accept cash. Awesome. A friend of mine parked in the lot behind Tuscan Steak House thinking it was a free space. Well, if it's too good to be true it is. We drove him over to Beach Towing Service at Dade Blvd and Bay Road (2 blocks east of 17th and Alton). Dade Boulevard is West of Alton Road (and is the one that takes you on the Venetian Causeway. Note: If your car is towed near Collins Avenue, you will need to take a cab. It's a very long walk from the beach area. Hopefully when you notice your car is towed that you have some nice friend nearby and that you haven't asked that friend to help you move recently. You can have all the paperwork and money but they can choose how long you wait or if you are going to get your car. When I protested the guy said I must be a tough guy and came out with another guy out on to the sidewalk. One guy had his hand in his left pocket, the other guy flanking me on my left side. Amazing, right? I adjusted my stance, put my open palms up no higher than my ears and waited for one of them to flinch. BUT in miami I have never dealt with nicer people (in a towing company, none the less) Friday morning I parked by accident in a loading zone, owning up to my mistake I called beach towing asked their location gathered $249 to pay the release of the car and go, which is exactly what I did. Later realizing I paid them twice! I called Saturday, spoke to Alex who told me he can't do anything call Monday for manager. I called Sunday just to see if I would get lucky and I spoke to Thomas who told me the same thing. On Monday when I called, Tony the manager answered and I explained to him the situation, he said he would check the camera and call me back in one hour. Five minutes later he called back and said I did indeed pay twice and that he would gladly refund the money, and he said something I will never forget "we are not bad guys"! I have never seen such class in any miami company before. Just goes to show you that you can't judge a book by its cover. I usually never write reviews and especially not this long but I was so impressed that I had to share my story! We are a car rental company, and our customers get their cars towed away for parking violations all the time, and we pretty much have to deal with local tow services very frequently. With most other tow companies, releasing rental cars back to renters has been a fairly straightforward process: they get their cars out if they have a current rental contract, or they get us to call the tow company to authorize the release. Done. But not with this one. First of all, there is this extremely rude guy named Louis. Talking to him makes you wish you could punch him right in the face! Then, they seem to make every effort to make it harder and costlier for you to get your car out. Why on earth would a tow company ask for an original notarized hold harmless and original title to release a rental car towed for a parking violation back to a customer with a valid current rental contract other than trying to bleed people for more storage fees for the cars they take hostage?! A week later I received a letter in the mail which (incorrectly) stated that they were still in possession of my car and that I now owe them nearly $2K, and that if I don't pay within 30 days they will put my car up for auction. I called thinking we could sort the matter out. Wrong. They told me it was "standard practice" and not to worry about it. THAT SAME DAY they fraudulently submitted a claim to my auto insurance company for the same exorbitant amount in the letter I received. Thankfully my insurance rejected the claim. I went over to speak with a manager today (actually I spoke with one of the owners) and he refused to make a written statement that I didn't owe them anything and also denied ever submitting a claim EVEN THOUGH I HAD DOCUMENTATION OF THE CLAIM THEY SUBMITTED. Just denied it anyway, and said that I was being "hard headed". I have to go to the clerk of courts on Monday to see if there is any action I need to take in order to nullify the lien they posted on my car. These people are a bunch of criminals. I'm going to report them for insurance fraud. On August 26, 2017 around 8:00 pm EST, my sister-in-law Cynthia Carpenter and her sister Pam Mastroianni parked in a parking lot located at 6550 Collins Ave. Miami, FL. Pam wanted to go into "I love Miami Beachwear" to get souvenirs for her grandchildren and I wanted to get a shot glass for a friend but I wanted ice cream first. So Cynthia and I headed down a couple of stores to the ice cream shop called Burrr. Pam wanted to know where we were so she followed us and when she saw the ice cream stop she walked back to I love Miami Beachwear to shop. This is the kind of shop where they make ice cream in front of you and since there was only one employee working at that time (he said the others didn't show up for work) we had to wait 45 mins to 1 hour for ours to be made. My boyfriend, Lester Maltez was at the hotel and asked me how much longer will it be, I even send him a video of the guy making the ice cream and a picture of the final product, I told him that it would be about 30 mins longer. Once Pam was finish shopping she walked down to where we were to see why it was taking so long and at that time we were finally eating our ice cream. Walking out of Burrr, Cynthia asked "Tonya that looks like your car going down the road" and I said yes it is my car. There was a guy right there on his phone standing with his car door open and heard me say that my car was being towed and he told us that was the "Miami Mafia" and that it happens all the time and you can't do anything about it. This place is horrible. Towed for $290. cash only. Very Rude. Not helpful at all. Terrible. Service. I was 4 blocks away from the shop they towed it too. I would never recommend this company to anyone. read more
