    TRC Property Management

I had a very disappointing experience with TRC Management, particularly with Dave Soren and Brian…read moreTopper. It is clear that they are more focused on deflecting responsibility than actually providing solutions. After I made them aware of an issue in the building they immediately dismissed me, in a very condescending way, instead of addressing the issue meaningfully. They come across as a lot of talk but no action, showing little interest in the properties they manage. From my experience, they do the bare minimum required--just enough to save money and increase their own profit--without any real investment in quality or care for tenants and property owners. Be careful if you're considering working with TRC Management. I would strongly recommend seeking a different property management company.

Brian Topper's statements are completely false. Brian Topper…read morecharged me fines that are not contracted in my proprietary lease agreement (breach), for a "washing machine" that he and his staff did not see. He didn't even ask to see it before charging the fines. He failed to write that his staff had invaded my peace to find the "machine" that I was fined thousands for. They didn't see it any where, so now he claims I'm hiding a "huge washer dyer". "Difficult to gain access?" Brian Topper meant to write that TRC makes a "leak is good reason to evict people" impossible to repair. All management companies that I been with, before TRC, found the problems and help fix it on the same day. I allowed his staff into my apartment on 4 occasions. So the other 2 times, I had a death in the family and a medical appointment. TRC actually stated that my situations were "refusals to cooperate". Why does TRC need so many visits to fix one leak? TRC says nothing and takes pictures. TRC refuses to repair the "leak" for 3 years. "Mr. Strong objects to enforcing the house rules that apply to him and is often quick to anger."- Brian Topper meant to write that I, "Mr. Strong", objects to adding house rules that targets individuals for vendettas, that was literally verbalize. I think the lawyer forgot that I sent an email about the subject of Board's power for vendettas, and that owners have rights to object and voice opinions. Maybe Mr. Topper should be honest and say "some people shouldn't have rights." TRC says the pictures that I posted came from seeping water but doesn't need repair. Would you be anger if you pay your bills and you're refused repairs? TRC thinks it's funny to harass people. TRC has no respect for the by laws or the proprietary lease agreement in my coop. The staff stuff is a horror and they withheld video evidence from me that would had people charged with crimes. If you have TRC, read all your contracts and find a good lawyer. The weapon is "breach of quiet enjoyment".

We needed it by 12/15/16. 3 weeks later on 11/28/15, our agent had the gall to deliver incomplete paperwork to the Condo assoc, which was denied. We received the same incomplete papers 2x but I filled in as much as I could and faxed it back to the agent with a cover sheet including my dissatisfaction with the entire situation and included "Attn: Barbara", the office manager. I was still so upset I called to speak with Barbara who at the time didn't really seem to care. Batyah delivered the same incomplete papers again. By now a month and a half passed and my husband and I were no further along from when we first walked into the Elliman office on 10/21/16. 12/02/16 our so-called "experienced agent" submitted incomplete forms to the Condo Assoc again; they rejected the paperwork for the 2nd time. Dec 2nd I called the Long Beach office wanting to speak with Barbara, the office manager. She was not in. I explained to the receptionist I needed to speak with Barbara immediately. I was told Barbara would call me back. She didn't. On Dec 5th Barbara finally called and apologized for not being involved sooner. She, personally, told me she was waiving "the fee". Barbara also told me my agent would no longer be working with us and that she (Barbara) would get someone else from the office to finish the rental process. Barbara chose Robin, who was the unit's listing agent. Robin should have been the one responsible for providing Batyah with the landlords info so that we could have completed the necessary paperwork in a timely manner. Due to errors on the part of the Elliman agency, they weren't able to meet our deadline. We made several trips back and forth from MD in order to secure the unit. We finally were approved and met with the Condo Board on 12/29. Robin contacted my husband about 3 certified checks, but we were under the impression she made a mistake because Barbara, the office manager, told me she waived the fee. I called the office but Barbara wasn't in. The receptionist said she would have Barbara call us. Barbara called while we were in the bank. Barbara agreed and said she told me the fee would be waived but that she only meant my agent and not the listing agent. She then told me I should have questioned her about it. I asked why would I question you, "you told me you would waive the fee". I said both agents work in your office. After I contacted you about the issues back in November and December, you should have overseen the agents to make sure everything was corrected so we could move in when we were expecting to. I said you're their manager, you should have made sure they were working together so there would be no other issues. Barbara needed to talk with Robin & said she'd call back; she didn't. We wanted to do a walk through before handing over the checks. The listing agent refused and told my husband we could have the keys after we paid. We then found out Elliman didn't have the keys. It got worse. We waited for over an hour in Long Beach and never heard from either woman. We were supposed to leave for home Friday morning but we unable to because of their unprofessional issues. Late Thursday afternoon my husband got a text from Barbara threatening to re-list the unit if we didn't do what she wanted. 12/30/16 I contacted Elliman's corporate office in Huntington regarding the issues we were having & at 10:15am spoke with John Succosco, Elliman's LI Manager explaining what had transpired. He seemed to be genuinely interested in helping and told me to give him a couple of minutes and he'd call back. He didn't. About 45 minutes later Barbara call to set up a walk through. I got a call from Succosco around 2:30pm on the 30th telling me he heard we got the keys and he was happy the issues were over. I told him I was disappointed he had Barbara call us and was surprised he hadn't gotten back to me himself. Then I said you didn't listen, the keys were never the issue and I hung up. We will not use Douglas Elliman again & won't refer anyone to them either. We should have used Rona Schattman at Coach Realtors, a trustworthy realtor.
