Renting or purchasing is an important transaction. We trusted our agent Jessica so much but we were lied too and in my opinion robbed. We made agreements through her to the owner which she upheld most except the biggest of all. We needed the owner to have wood floors installed on the entire second floor removing all carpet due to medical reasons. Jessica stated the owner agreed. There was a major delay with the floor installation. After lease was signed and broker fee was given, the floors were scheduled to be done the following week. So we enter the apartment after the installation, surprise to us only half the floor was done. I contacted our agent and she had a family emergency and apparently couldn't assist. I called the flooring company and they said they performed the work that was agreed upon. I followed up with the owner and he stated the same thing. We only took this apartment with the agreement the carpet be removed and replaced with wood floors. Now we've come out of pocket to have this done when it was originally agreed upon. We were robbed and lied too. I have all my text message conversations. We would've never signed a lease and agreed to the rent amount unless the floors were a requirement. And now I contacted Jessica telling her what both the owner and flooring company said and she has not responded. I'm considering taking legal action. So before you trust YOUR agent make sure you not being conned. read more
