The two doctors that treat there are rude and don't know how to treat patients I have cysts on my spine causing extreme pain I don't drink smoke or do drugs they treated me like a junkie looking for pills I had a serious back spasm in the office I had to leave in a stretcher the head MD in the office called ahead and told them she thinks I was drug seeking she talked to me for two minutes and made that assumption the first doctor asked me where I got my drugs from they are disgusting human beings that don't know what they are doing she also cancelled my referral to pain management so I have to wait another month to be seen if I could give a Zero I would I've been told multiple things by doctors I have seen and don't know who to trust I have a cyst cover T6-T9 stenosis in my neck and bone spurs I magically pointed them out and what was causing pain before my MRI find a real don't go their they are rude and will hurt you from receiving proper medical treatment Portsmouth Emergency is also horrible I am seeking legal action as well what kind of doctor calls ahead and makes an assumption like that a horrible one absolutely disgusting MDs read more

I've been a patient here for about 11 years, always been very happy with my PCP and their service in general. Things changed a bit when they became part of Appledore a few years back but it still has a friendly and personal atmosphere. On the plus side Appledore has a bunch of other offices (a lab, various specialists) in the same building so it's kind of one-stop shopping. I do get the sense that there's more of a focus on "efficiency" than there used to be but it hasn't affected the quality of their service as far as I can tell. I have been a patient with this practice for 4 years and have referred many friends to this practice ... I LOVED Dr. Marni Nicholas however she left the practice and evidently she was the glue that held the place together!!! I scheduled an annual physical in March and was told if have to wait until August, then when Dr Nicholas left - they pushed me to the end of September... Today I showed up for my physical 7 mins late and was told I would have to reschedule because I was late.... Seriously?? Do you know how many times I have waited 10 or even 20 mins for a scheduled appt? This is my primary care provider who is paid by my insurance company to over see my care, I stood there telling them I needed to be seen and I was told - sorry ... Your 7 mins late! It was a 40 min appt!!! I would NOT recommend this practice ... Nothing says I don't really care like Not seeing a patient who is 7 mins late for a 40 min appt that took 6 months to get on the books!!!! read more

This happened back in February 2016 and I was on the edge about posting my personal business on here, but I believe everyone should have the right to know what did happen so it does not happen to you. I ended up seeing Daniel Davies, because I wanted to get a Western Blot test for Lyme Disease and a Thyroid test done as well. When I met with him I told him what I wanted tested and why. He tested me for Lyme, but not for the thyroid tests I requested. I did not feel like I was taken seriously at all. Three days after I got my blood drawn I got a letter in the mail saying my Western Blot Lyme test was normal. A MONTH went by and I got a phone call from Daniel Davies I answered Hello? He replied Hi .. I am just calling to let you know that there was a mistake and the CDC notified us that someone we tested was positive for lyme and it ended up being you "I'm Sorry Bout That" and told me he could give me antibiotics for a couple weeks. I asked him if I could get my medical records at the office and I hung up the phone. I bursted into tears knowing it was not all in my head. I now have Chronic Lyme Disease and have to go to special Lyme Literate Doctors who are not covered by insurance. If you believe you have Lyme Disease or have physical issues that are not being addressed I suggest you go to another primary care clinic. I DO NOT wish this upon anyone. The one thing I thought about after I got off the phone was would he have just said "I'm Sorry Bout That" to his family members if he misdiagnosed them? New England has one of the highest cases for Lyme Disease.. You would think they would know a little bit more about the epidemic. read more

I have been a patient to Beacon Internal for over 8 years. Although I have moved further away, I continue to visit Beacon because I trust them and know I'm in good hands. My experience has always been very positive and my MD Marni Nicholas and PA Dorothy McGrath are caring, knowledgeable, and understanding, to say the very least! The girls up front (receptionists) are always kind, resourceful, and helpful (especially Margie!). I've had a great experience at Beacon Internal Medicine. It's easy to get an appointment and they now have walk-in hours. I see Dr. Nichols and Dr. Macgrath and always feel like they have my best interest in mind. I like their new location- the office is larger and very clean/modern. Plenty of parking as well. HORRIFIC. TOTALLY DISRESPECTFUL of patients' time -- particularly elderly patients. If you need just a shot of vitamins, be prepared to wait, and wait, and wait. About an hour. YES. Your time is NOT as important as that of the medical staff. And, note, these people do make appointments during lunch hour and then, expect patients -- hey, you don't work, you're elderly, no rush getting to you -- to sit quietly waiting as the staff takes their break. All the PA's are great and Dr. Nicolas is second to none!! I have been going to BIM for so long I do not remember when I started...I would guess around 2004. Anyway, the office staff, the PA's and doctor's are terrific. It's easy and quick to get an appointment, they are very thorough, and they care about you as a whole and not just the immediate issue.
