Today's visit had Dr. Gray removing all of my uppers (only 11 left) for partial dentures. I am going through alot in my personal life & this visit had me more anxious than when I found out my complete 3rd degree heartblock, my incarcerated hernia or even my right lung PE. I was so nervous that it made me physically ill. I am not a worrier, except for today. I asked Dr Gray how he was feeling and told him that I said a prayer for him and his crew. Initially I had alot of pain but I am 11 hours post op and the bleeding has stopped and I have very little pain. His staff really make you feel as if they are a member of your family. Everyone is kind, gracious and caring. I couldn't recommend Dr Gray enough. And just like that last time, Keisha called after I had been home for a bit to see how I was doing. This level of care and customer service is hard to find.

However when I showed up for this appointment things did not go as planned! The receptionist could not find any appt for me for that day! So she said they would "FIT ME IN" which meant I had to wait in the lobby for up to 1.5 hours! When I was finally taken back I met the nicest and most and conscience dental tech! She explained everything to me that she was doing and answered all my questions! The surgeon Dr Allen was constantly coming in and out of the room. During these trips he gave me injections, took biopsies, extracted my tooth and inserted a graft! He was a very fast surgeon! Was given Nitrous Oxide the entire time which was a blessing! When I got home I realized that I hadn't been given pain med or an antibiotic! Was too late to call the office so I called the next morning at 8:30am and found out that the surgeon had forgotten to call the Rxs into my pharmacy. Was told it would be taken care of. Called the office back at 12,:30pm only to be told the surgeon still had not called in my Rxs! It turned out that I didn't finally get my Rxs until 5pm! That was INEXCUSABLE! There was no reason that the surgeon should have forgotten my Rxs! Very FRUSTRATING and AGGRAVATING day for me!

Called the office when we received a bill and provided medical insurance information. Was told the bill would be submitted to medical insurance. Received another bill 1/15/2025 stating we were responsible for payment. Called to find out if they billed medical insurance and was now told "we don't do that" and I would have to submit to the medical insurance. Too much time has passed, and medical insurance will deny for untimely filing, which dental office is aware. Dental office should have never said they would bill medical insurance and then send me a bill over 2 years later.

There are actually 5 offices near our home and Konikoff is the only provider to accept it. I am so grateful! As a hygienist of many years, I am very picky and critical of dental service. My appointment at Konikoff was wonderful! They are very thorough from the receptionists to the treatment area. My hygienist Autumn, was knowledgeable and funny. It felt more like we were old friends catching up than an actual dental appointment. I don't have dental anxiety, but if I did, she would have put me at ease. I would recommend Konikoff to new and existing members of the Chesapeake community. They value the patient and it shows.

Overall he treats this place like a chop shop, he has terrible manners, and has no common decency. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. I had recently moved to Chesapeake when my front teeth started hurting. A quick trip to the…read moredentist and an x-ray later, I was diagnosed with a potential nasopalatine cyst. My dentist referred me to an oral surgeon. As I started calling the various offices, I found that 1. most required me to have a referral from my medical provider (which I had not established yet), and 2. we're booking appointments almost 2 months out. Then I reached out to Coastal Virginia. Coastal was very upfront with me about the fact that they were not in my network, so I would have to pay out of pocket for the services and I would be reimbursed whatever my insurance did pay. They provided me coat estimates on the phone so I had a basic understanding of expectations coming in to the office, and I was scheduled for my first consult in under 2 weeks. I will note here that they did not quote me the cost of the imaging done in the office, which was an extra expense, but I could have declined. My consult resulted in a scheduled date to remove the cyst in-office a couple of weeks later. I had full control over the level/type of anesthesia used, which will impact your cost estimates, but the office was very upfront about all of those prices. Three days before my surgery, the cyst led to the formation of an abscess. The surgery went well, and the surgeon was able to remove the cyst and visible infection, and then provided me antibiotics to ensure the infection cleared. Post operative care and communication was wonderful, and healing was quite successful. While paying out-of-pocket was not ideal, I was able to have the situation well-handled and healed before I would have been able to get in anywhere else. My surgeon was fantastic, and I absolutely recommend this practice.

Her procedure was flawless. She was relaxed and informed. The staff was very courteous and thorough in explaining the billing and after procedure care. He also gave a pain relief kit, in case it was needed during the middle of the night or off hours. This came in handy as she had her procedure the week of Christmas. I highly recommend Doc Bald!

Everything went well, numbing agents worked very fast and effectively. The Doctor also explained each step of the process as he moved along. From the initial handshake to walking out it was enjoyable of an experience. I'm not from the area originally and I've had teeth taken out in the past and I've sat in the chair for hours at a time. If I ever had to get teeth removed I would definitely come back here for future business no matter how far away I was. They even called me the next day to see how I felt which was an added bonus. He is a great man and the best services I've ever had. The staff is lovely there so why not give them a chance. Go check them them out.
