Today's visit had Dr. Gray removing all of my uppers (only 11 left) for partial dentures. I am going through alot in my personal life & this visit had me more anxious than when I found out my complete 3rd degree heartblock, my incarcerated hernia or even my right lung PE. I was so nervous that it made me physically ill. I am not a worrier, except for today. I asked Dr Gray how he was feeling and told him that I said a prayer for him and his crew. Initially I had alot of pain but I am 11 hours post op and the bleeding has stopped and I have very little pain. His staff really make you feel as if they are a member of your family. Everyone is kind, gracious and caring. I couldn't recommend Dr Gray enough. And just like that last time, Keisha called after I had been home for a bit to see how I was doing. This level of care and customer service is hard to find.

Within hours of my surgery his team reached out to check in on me and called me again a week later just to make sure recovery had been going well. For someone that is pretty young and has severe dental anxiety due to a past traumatic experience,…read moreI had one of the BEST dental experiences ever this past Tuesday! For a little background knowledge, I got the Right side of my wisdom teeth removed at a dental office in Texas and I was supposed to get my left side done along with a crack tooth. However I was in so much pain at this dental office IN TEXAS, I never got my cracked tooth and my left wisdom teeth extracted. A couple weeks back I experienced extreme pain from the cracked tooth, this pain was highly uncomfortable leading me to have an emergency appointment with my actual dental office. They ended up referring me out to a oral surgery office called Bayside however they wouldn't be able to see me until January. I knew my pain was so intense and that if I let the tooth stay in my mouth any longer, I possibly could've died if a infection would've got to my bloodstream. Fortunately, at the emergency appointment, I was told there was no infection or abscess, but the tooth was truly dead, and there was no saving to it due to how deep the crack was. The cracked tooth had been in my mouth for roughly 2 and a half years after my first experience, I was so scared and frightened to go to any doctors office however, upon researching, I found Dr. Flock's office, and I read reviews, and I really took a leap of faith off of the great reviews, and I am here to report back what amazing experience that I had. From the beginning to the end, the two ladies, Mrs. Jennifer and Mrs.Crystal at the front desk are absolute, sweethearts! Those two ladies helped me tremendously, especially me being so young and navigating life in general. This being my first time getting IV sedation and using my husband's insurance as a newly married couple, I was pretty nervous. I would call the office so many times asking for information and how much my insurance would cover to get all the information I wanted in order to be prepared. these two ladies were absolutely respectful and so professional not once did they ever give me an attitude over how many questions I asked how many times I called, these ladies are truly outstanding front desk, receptionist! Due to my severe pain, I opted for the same day consultation and extraction. I got my left wisdom teeth and my cracked tooth removed and I am on day three and I literally feel little to no pain. like AT ALL just swollen. The pain truly is a 1 out of 10. I did get IV sedation, and I was so freaking nervous, the machine that was tracking my heart rate was beeping nonstop, that the nurse said by the time I have the procedure I'm going to be tired from being so nervous lol. Dr. flock and his wonderful dental assistant reassured me and conversed with me to calm my nerves, and it definitely helped. Dr. Flock is VERY professional and communicated to me the whole time he explained how my teeth were perfectly in the great position to get them out and that the procedure wouldn't take long at all. I literally felt like the procedure was 10 minutes and I kept asking after the procedure, "are you sure you got everything" lol because it was that fast to me. I am truly amazed by how professional, Dr. Flock and his staff truly are. I did have to pay a good portion even with my insurance coverage however, that is something I would do over and over again due to how greatly and professionally I was treated! I truly never experienced any dental visit like this, in the beginning I was very nervous, but they talked me through it and he communicated whenever he was getting ready to inject the medication into my IV and next thing I was laying in the dark with a nice blanket in the dark and the light switched on, and I was done lol. thank you Dr. Flock, Mrs. Jennifer, Mrs. Crystal, and the lovely dental assistant that was with Dr. Flock for my procedure! You all are highly professional and skilled individuals, and I would recommend everyone, especially people with severe dental anxiety to be seen by this office. 1000/10!!!!! I felt so welcomed and reassured!!

I used to absolutely love Edinburgh Family Dentistry 100%. So much so I recommended them to…read moreeveryone I knew. Sadly, over the past two years customer service for the adults in our household has declined significantly. I'm going share as 4 stars, at this point it's really closer to 3 1/2 but they don't give you an option for that, which I'm torn since they do take great care of my children. Let's start with the positives: The hygienist and Doctor who work with our children are wonderful. They are gentle, kind, and patient. They have never pushed unnecessary treatments. They simply do their cleanings, make observations, and offer suggestions. Never had an issue with how our kids are treated. They even allow you to sit in the room with them. This part of their practice has always been excellent. The wait time once you arrive and check in is never long, I don't believe we've ever waited more than 10 minutes to be seen except one time when someone called out so they were short staffed. The office is also very clean. However, our experience as adults has been very frustrating. My husband was essentially "Ghosted" as a patient. He was contacted about moving his appointment earlier, which he agreed to only if his original appointment could remain in case he couldn't make it ( He was traveling for work that week). They canceled his original appointment anyways, and then later canceled another appointment because insurance was "asking questions" but no one ever followed back up with him like they said they would. In the end they dictated his schedule instead of working with it, and he never got his mouth completed after starting a deep cleaning. Recently they repeatedly kept contacting me during work hours asking for insurance information even though I had told them I did not have it on hand and would send it as soon as I could that day. The constant texts during the workday feel excessive and stressful. Another limitation is pain management, they only offer injections for numbing. If you don't numb well with needles like me they can't accommodate you. They won't even do my teeth cleanings until one tooth issue is resolved elsewhere. Scheduling is also a bit difficult, appointments are typically booked close to a year out, and although we tried to switch to their newer location, they told me they are still working on insurance coverage there so we're stuck at this office. Today was another example of the disorganization. We had a 2pm appointment and arrived 15 minutes early. The staff was in a meeting and kept all patients waiting outside until exactly 2PM. As more and more patients arrived for their appointments they eventually put a sign on the door telling people to return at 1PM even though it was already past that and they still weren't available until 2. It was confusing and frustrating especially for those who arrive on time and early. During cleanings you won't see the dentist for more than 5 minutes unless you have specific concerns. Overall, this used to be a 5-star office for us. Now it feels very inconsistent. Excellent for children so far.

The customer service is absolutely awful, the staff are rude and completely unprofessional, and they act like they don't care at all about their patients. They never answer the phone, never return calls, and it's literally impossible to get through to anyone. They constantly overcharge, send bills for things that were never even done, and lie about what insurance will cover just to squeeze more money out of you. It's a complete scam. Everyone in my family is leaving Konikoff. I am genuinely concerned for any patient that goes here because of how dishonest and careless they are. I wouldn't recommend Konikoff to my worst enemy.

Red flag went up last year after seeing a certain hygienist and getting lectured at every...single...appointment. You need this, you need that, you need to do this, you need to do that. Enough already. I then requested a note on my account to never schedule us with her again. The next one I got also lectured me. I tried to brush it off and even requested another note put on our accounts to stop lecturing us. Our most recent visits, mine was okay, but they told my 16-year-old son that his teeth are going to fall out if he doesn't start brushing better. I totally get it, but I have never in my life, even as a child, had a dentist tell me my teeth are going to fall out. He was really upset about that and how the visit went overall for him. My 19-year-old son just had his appointment and told me they told him the same thing along with some other negative things, and he was also very upset and scared to death. After sharing my experiences with him about the negativity and constant lecturing, he said he also overheard conversations of patients next to him in which they were being told this is wrong, that is wrong, go see this specialist, etc. I completely understand that we need to know if there are issues with our teeth, but again, in all the dentists I've been to throughout my whole life, I have never, ever experienced such negativity and lecturing as I have with Konikoff over the past four or five years we've been with them. I have to trust my gut instinct in thinking something just isn't right here. We will be canceling our future appointments and seeking care elsewhere. And, no, I don't want to contact the office directly because I've decided our relationship with Konikoff has come to an end.
