I don't know how this company stays in business. We have NEVER received a bill from Beamspeed, not by mail, not by email, not a bill of any kind... EVER. About a year ago they shut off my service a month after my internet was turned on. When I called they said my account was delinquent. I let them know I had never received a bill. I have all my info and requested a paper bill monthly. I never received any. I have occasionally sent a few hundred here and there and called only to be told I had credit. Today my service is shut off AGAIN. I called and only got a recording to leave messages. This is the most ridiculous "business" EVER!!! I'm thinking they won't be in business too long with this type of business practices. Might be best to use AT&T or TMobile wireless. read more

If you're feeling nostalgic for the 80's and miss the dial-up like slow connection speeds and frequent disconnects then this is the internet provider for you. However, if you don't want crappy connection speeds, completely unreliable connections with frequent and lengthy disconnects and customer service to match, then I suggest you go elsewhere. I really hope these guys have a backup plan for when Starlink finally becomes available because they're going to need new jobs. I've had Beamspeed since November. I've had more outage days than days that my internet has worked. I be had difficulties getting through to technical service. When I do they only temporarily fix it. They finally stated it's probably a problem with the equipment they gave me. So they scheduled an appointment. Ten days out from my last outage. Today I called to confirm my appointment and to see if they could give me an eta. They said they moved me back a day. They did not notify me of this postponement. I had moved all my appointments for this day. I ask why they wouldn't be here as scheduled appt. it was because they gave my appointment to a new customer and had to set them up. My question shouldn't you take care of the customers you have first.? I am beyond frustrated. So I would NOT recommend BeamSpeed! read more

We signed up for internet for our 4 month stay in Yuma, AZ. It worked fairly well until this week. All along, there has been a fair amount of buffering when watching Netflix, etc. & overall speed doesn't match the highest speed that we signed up for, but we have lived with that. Fast forward to this week...we have had no internet for 3 days. We left messages for tech support for a day & a half with no response. I finally called & pressed"1" for billing questions, got a person & told her our story. Tech support called back an hour later. They had us restart the system again. When that didn't fix the problem, they said a technician will be out on Tuesday, that's 4 days from now. This is not acceptable! read more

We are part time clients of beamspeed and it has been BRUTAL. We signed up Jan 3rd and have not had a full day of service? Every evening the service is non existant. It starts failing at 8pm and has been down daily from 10pm to 8am. We have had a tech out 3 times and he replaced modems each time. Still shoddy internet service. I understand some servers have issues but this is outrageous. We had to recorded our outages and although we paid $40. a month for unlimited mid range service we only recieved service 40% of the month??? We will be looking for an alternate provider in 2019. read more

Two days ago my computer slowed way down, my phone wouldn't open certain programs and my TV stopped streaming. I did everything I could do with the streaming service and it kept saying my internet connection was bad. Yesterday I talked to beam speed and they said there was nothing wrong with their connections. Today I called them and told them that both my phone and my television were saying that it was the internet connection. They checked it and said oh yeah there's a problem and we'll have a technician come out 3 days from now. So I go six days with no TV, very little computer and marginal telephone. Do they care? I pay $75 a month for 25mb connection that I don't get at all. I've been having issues for 2 weeks now and at first they blamed my router. I reconfigured my router multiple times still same issues. So I decided to directly connect my PC to their modem. Still having the same issues. All they do is reset the modem and tell you its fine now. That works for 5 minutes and the connection drops out again. Now they say it will be 2 more weeks before they can send someone out. That's a whole month of paying for internet that doesn't work.... Would not recommend beam speed to anyone. The young ladies up front are great. They set me up appointment to get service set up. That work with my work schedule (which was between 2 & 4) I got a call at 12:30pm so I called back to confirm my appointment and who ever answered the phone (had hit 3 in there little phone service) I was in formed that they work out and it gets hot so I should have been scheduled between 12 & 4 and if I did not get right home they would have to reschedule he then called said they where rescheduling me for Wednesday some time between 11 and 2. I really want to know why a company in Yuma AZ thinks Someone should stay home from work so they don't get hot. I have had Beamspeed for 3-4 years now, a bit on the slow side but still good for residential purposes. I live out in the middle of no where and I am glad that there is a internet service provider that comes out this far for such a low price. I have the middle range package I'm happy. My computer and phone can all run when my TV is streaming. On multiple occasions, I have lost service altogether during a critical moment. Customer service is unhelpful, and their techs will come out without calling first after promising that they will. We used Beamspeed more than four years, and were very happy with their internet service. The last couple of years we were on their fastest plan, and it was quite adequate for everything we needed for our home business and personal interactions. There were only a few down times, and Beamspeed solved the issues very quickly. The office personnel and field technicians were attentive yet professional. We live our winters in the Yuma in the Westwind RV Resort. For the last two years we have had the same site (#596) and had Beamspeed for our internet service. In both years we have had problems getting connections. Last night, like many other nights I have had to use my Verison Jet Pack to watch my hockey game. Not only does this cost me the Beamspeed rate but now I have to use the Jet Pack which is costly. We have had a couple of maintenance visits and the internet works for a short time after but when I want it most, early morning and in the evening, I have problems with it. My friend across from me has had the same problems but has insisted on some money back. We haven't. We just want good service which Beamspeed does not seem to be able to provide. As a part time customer of beamspeed they have decent internet for an ok price. The issue I have is with customer service! The front office doesn't seem to know what they are doing and are really not interested in customer service! Tech support seems fairly nice but if you ask an in depth question about their equipment they really do not know the answer. My internet seems to just stop at times and they have no idea how to find out why. All tech support can do is say "the status is operational". At this moment that might be true but what does the cable modem log say when it wasn't working? For that they have no clue! Tech support would only appear to be very superficial! read more
