If you have an issue that is even slightly complex or takes more than five minutes of their time, you may as well be talking to a brick wall. Truly awful customer service, rife with incompetence from their staff to the manager. It is a shame because Spectrum as a service is fine, but this storefront is truly inept. If you still choose this place, don't bother coming in for any questions or concerns. They will just redirect you to their support number -- while you are physically standing in their store. read more

Internet is spotty at best, nothing about it is consistent. I live at the Regency Square Apartments, and it's been the most unreliable experience I've ever been a part of. I play a good amount of online video games, even with a 500mbps service, uptime is poor. Constant disconnects and lag, along with frequent outages. I've been through the steps of restarting the modem and router, only for the problem to persist immediately after. They apparently did maintenance a few weeks ago, only for the service quality to remain the same. I Can't recommend Spectrum to anyone who wants reliable internet, It's truly a disappointing service provider. read more

I came at 9 o'clock in the morning, the store opens at 10 o'clock in the morning. I waited an hour outside to be able to get my phone fixed, it was brought to my attention that cell phone stores don't offer you any type of help. I remember when I was a child and I visited any kind of phone place you connect your phone and they'd help you since when did phone stores stop offering help with your cell phone. I understand that I needed a simple update on my phone, but you guys did not even care to look at my cell phone or even try to help. It's quite disappointing how you guys handle the situation. you have Spectrum in front of your store. I came up to two guys to see if they were able to help me and all they did was point me to a different store that doesn't have to do anything with my phone bill. I do not pay my phone bill and my Wi-Fi bill and another phone plan that comes up to $280 a month for you guys to send me to another store when you could've just plugged in my phone and reset it yourself. Don't try their mobile services, they just sold me an sims card $29.99 And I can't use it because the representative didn't send the required information to be able to activate it, no email nor any usps mail and after almost 2 hours of live chat and 7 different reps that couldn't help I have a worthless sims card and a sorry , Beware ! It started out with a single phone order to test coverage and determine if I would move all 5 lines from Verizon to Spectrum. Spectrum says they use Verizon towers so they have all the same coverage, they fail to mention Verizon allows you to use towers they do not own thus those towers are not in the Spectrum network. I proved this by taking a Spectrum and a Verizon phone out in the desert and tested them. While I could make calls on Verizon, I could not on Spectrum. That was 3 years ago and pre 5G so I thought I would test it again. Two reasons. I just bought a new car and the TCL phone I have is not fully compatible with all the car's features. Second, they have an offer to payoff existing lines if you move them to Spectrum. So the nightmare begins. I explain to the Spectrum rep that I am out of town and would not be able to accept delivery for over a week. I wanted to make sure this would not be a problem as you cannot change the delivery address. For fraud protection they will only deliver equipment to the billing address. I was assured multiple times by the sales rep that it would take 7 to 10 business days for the equipment to allowing me plenty of time to get home. That was on a Saturday. On Monday I am notified the order is prepped and will arrive on Wednesday. That is 3 business days, not 7 to 10. I called Spectrum and they told me that nothing could be done until the first "failed" delivery has occurred. So I wait until Wednesday when I get notice FedEx tried to deliver but no one was available to sign for the receipt. I contact FedEx and have them put it on hold until I can return home. They have a maximum amount of hold days then they return the merchandise to the sender. I contacted Spectrum and they said if the equipment was returned they would credit my account and cancel the transaction. Not wanting that to happen I cut my trip short and returned home. I received the hardware on Monday of the following week and "bad dream" #1 was over. I activated the phone and am pleased to say it was working fine and seemed to have coverage in the areas that are critical to my communications. Then "bad dream" #2 started. I called Spectrum and was planning to use the offer that is advertised as follows (verbatim from the Spectrum.com website). 1) Add at least three Spectrum Mobile lines 2) Bring your phone or shop new ones. Transfer at least one number. 3) Provide a copy of your lates bill and we'll pay off your phone balance (up to five lines, $2,500 max). My request was to move 4 lines and keep the phone I purchased for the trial. After review of the IMEI #'s of my existing phones I was told none of them are compatible with the Spectrum network, 2 of which were newer models of Motorola. After much debate as to why they could not support the Motorola phones I was told they will only port over the very newest version of manufacturers phones unless they are iPhones. When I asked what about people who had the newest Motorola version 2 years ago and were still on the Spectrum network I got some ridiculous answers. Apparently those will still work but they cannot add any new lines with the older hardware. Okay, so I will order new phones for all the lines and keep the phone numbers associated with the old phones. This is still within the 3 requirements above. I was told the only way I could receive the offer was to port at least 1piece of hardware over from the previous provider. I call that bait and switch as nowhere in the text on their website as listed above does it state hardware, only NUMBER. That said I decided the number of incidents and the constant change of agreement I am no longer going to move forward and I will return the phone as I am inside of the 30 days the not so honest sales man had originally told me. I am now transferring from "bad dream" #2 into NIGHTMARE #3 zone! I package the phone back into the original box and drive to the local Spectrum store. There I am told 2 things. First I must return it via the web contacts I acquired it from and second the return window was only 14 days and this is day 15. I called the 800 Spectrum # I was given. I escalated and finally it was determined that due to the original shipping dates being altered because of the out of town experience I would be granted an exception. A RMO would be emailed to me and I was to deliver it to the local FedEx outlet. I received the RMO and took it to the local Walgreens (local FedEx terminal) with the label only to be informed they do not carry FedEx packaging. I was able to purchase the bubble wrap envelope in the store and just a few dollars later I thought the nightmare was over. Then NIGHTMARE #4 began. I get a notice that I have returned the equipment and it is damaged thus they charged my account $76. I have disputed the charge as the phone was fine when I sent it back. Now I'm looking to dump a $300 plus cable package. New internet, TV and Phone. YES! read more

It is difficult to rate Spectrum, because the employess and the product are fine, but the Spectrum Store itself is almost unbearable. Here are the drawbacks: (1) There is no direct phone number to the local store, (2) Business is conducted on a walk-in basis, although I overheard the intake coordinator offering some people appointments for a later time -- I had been given a Ticket Number over the phone but no appointment, (3) There is very little seating in the store and most customers stand and wait a long time. The store is basically a showroom for Spectrum products, and very uncomfortable if you are old or disabled. The employees stand at kiosks, and the customer stands throughout the transaction. There were 4 employees on duty during the first hour, and then two, and then a third employee came on duty as I was finishing. I arrived at 10:00 a.m., just as the doors opened, and there was already a long line. I was Number 20 on the waiting list, and the numbers went up to 40 by the time I left the store. However, the kiosk-employee was very efficient and friendly, and showed concern for my budget and my needs. The phone representatives were also helpful and pleasant. The employees deserve 5 stars. I am not technologically inclined. It took me 3 days to set up my internet and the TV in my living room. But, after that learning experience, It only took 30 minutes to set up the TV in my guest bedroom. Now, it seems simple, and I am very pleased with the quantity and quality of the whole set-up. If only the Spectrum Store would provide some basic chairs for customers...and give the employees a desk and chair! read more

I have seen a number of negative reviews on spectrum and I can say that I also have had numerous issues with them and have had numerous techs come to my house and check my internet speed out. I just had the best tech service ever from spectrum and the techs name is Jesus. He checked my entire system and went far out of his way to check my mesh system where he tested each mesh router and showed me and explained to me about how I am losing a ton of speed by going through the mesh instead of just using the wireless router. My speed was at nearly 600 mbps at the router but only 3.0 mbps at the mesh router. Disconnected the mesh system and now my internet speed is over 600 mbps. So stoked and extremely appreciated Jesus's expertise on this. The best spectrum tech i have ever dealt with in nearly 20 years. Thanks Jesus read more

Cellular service is great. Good coverage and reliability. Where this company falls flat on its face is Customer Service. On numerous occasions when trying to change my data plan, I was told "oh no, you needed to call yesterday" or, "you'll have to call again tomorrow". Tomorrow comes and I'm told (today), "oh no, you should have called two days ago" The bottom line seems to be that their customer service agents are not up to the job. VERY frustrating. I am considering going elsewhere as there are other choices in Spectrum's pricing range. And yes, there is a mobile app but that has never worked well for me. read more

They act as if they are used car salesmen, they wont even mention the packages that are currently available and try and sell you a service that are more expensive. Customer service is ridiculous out of touch with there own product. read more

The service personnel are great. However, I wanted to talk to customer service rep at the store in Yuma and I ended up talking to an 888 number. The database wanted all my history when i wanted to talk to a store representative. Very poor customer service. Also, I had a problem with getting my printer online after receiving new modem and router. I was told by service tech my printer was too close to router. He suggested a Cat 6 ethernet cable or relocate printer. I spoke with a service at Staples and was informed that printers have no Cat 6 cable connections. I have relocated the printer to my wife's office. Please make sure your service tech's are aware of this issue. Tech personnel were courteous and professional, however. read more
