Reasonably priced coffee drinks. You can get heavy whipping cream! I ordered a 4 shot Breve made with heavy whipping cream. It was smooth good flavor - nice nutty finish. I picked up an iced caramel latte for a colleague - no complaints - just smiles. There is also local Sassy Cow ice cream, baked goods and case style food me use. You can find all the cute, homey vibes inside this coffee house! Beans 'n Cream offers a variety of delicious looking pastries, some breakfast/lunch choices, and of course coffee drinks. They were out of their cold brew coffee, but the barista was quick to suggest the macchiato instead. It was served cold and is very similar to a cold brew coffee. It was good! I'm a local student and normally I love this place. Such a cute and inviting environment. This last visit I had though left me disappointed. They forgot to give my friend her muffin after warming it up. It took 15 minutes and us asking for her to receive her order. Later I found a broken off fake nail in my coffee too. A cute cafe located on Cannery Square in Sun Prairie that's great for settling in and working for a few hours. The seating area is bright with natural light and the setting overall was quiet for a coffee house. As someone who can't have caffeine I was drawn in by their flavored lemonades; on my morning visit I went with the ginger variety. I hadn't eaten breakfast so I treated myself to a slice of chocolate chip pumpkin bread. Both were very tasty and a sweet way to start my day. The shop's decoration reflects the sun pouring in with yellow walls, paintings of flowers, and homey displays of coffee in tea in glass canisters. In addition to your typical drinks, Beans 'n Cream offers several breakfast and lunch items as well as ice cream. They offer online ordering if you want to get your items to go over your lunch hour, which is a nice touch for a small shop. read more

I don't know why I don't come here more often! This place is super cute. It isn't the fake stuffy feeling you get when you walk into a Starbucks. It isn't a sterile environment and I like it that way! The people working there are super friendly. They don't glare at you while you make a decision on what to order. They also gladly tell you what's in a drink if you have no clue. I believe my drink was a yellow jacket... or something like that. (Good grief I'm getting old if I can't remember my drink name!!) It was delicious! It had honey and vanilla in it. What I like most is that every drink tastes different! Every drink you order at Starbucks tastes the same or incredibly similar and it isn't even good! I've had a few drinks at Beans n Cream and have loved them all. I also love the kids area. They have a nifty little area for kids to play while their parents enjoy a treat. They also serve Sassy Cow ice cream for a sweet treat. Sassy Cow is the best, by the way! My kids, or any kids that I've seen, have never been yelled at, talked to, sneered at or anything of time sort. This place welcomes family. I'll definitely be stopping in more often. read more

I stopped here today after lunch with friends. In the past, the coffee has been just mediocre. Today was no exception. I ordered a medium latte with skim milk. I was surprised that they didn't put the drink in a mug like other local coffeehouses. The barista put it in a paper cup even though I was staying there to drink it. When I started to drink the latte, I found that it was just lukewarm. It takes a lot for me to complain, so I just accepted that it was a mediocre latte. Before I left, I suggested to the barista that she steam the milk a bit more to get the drink to the proper temperature. She apologized. In the future, Beans 'n Cream would not be my first choice for a coffeehouse stop. read more

It's just about the only coffeehouse and wifi place in the suburb of Sun Prairie. I don't have kids but the space seems very kid friendly - there's even a kids' play area. The service is friendly, there's usually sufficient AC outlets to plug in a laptop or other device. I've seen the place get very crowded from 8am to 9pm on weekdays, but the patrons thins out by the afternoon stretch. We needed to be in Sun Prairie, WI for the day (long story) and thanks to yelp, we found this place. We liked it a lot and went twice, once in the early morning and once in the afternoon. My only issue was in the afternoon (2:30pm Monday) the only black tea they had was Earl Grey, so hopefully that was just a fluke. I enjoyed their breakfast sandwich, and the service too. In the afternoon I had a scone and it was fresh & good. They have this great sign by their kids' play area, which I will post here. I was glad that the kids area was around the corner from the other seating area, so if you don't really feel like being around the kid play area you just sit in the larger front seating area. The bathrooms were always clean, and the ladies' room has a nice mural. I appreciated the outlets which were next to many of the seats; we charged up our iPhones. What a hidden gem in Sun Prairie! I travel all over the country and I seek out local coffee shops to keep things interesting. It was a bit out of my way, but I was drawn in by the sweet potato breakfast burrito. It was well worth my 10-minute diversion!!! Sweet potato, black bean, eggs, cheddar, and chipotle mayo - delicious!!! I also had a salted caramel latte. It was a perfect sweetness for me - probably a 6 out of 10 on my sweetness scale. I felt like the burrito was a great deal for the money, and the latte is what you would spend anywhere else. This was a great find for me, and I will definitely be back next time I'm in Madison! The atmosphere is very welcoming. There are a couple comfy chairs by the fireplace, with tables and hard chairs everywhere else. read more

I have been to Beans 'n Cream Coffee House almost eight times now and not once have I been disappointed. Every selection of their coffee tastes great. I tried their green tea once and that was refreshing too. And their sprout breakfast burrito tastes so good and fresh. They have brewed coffee ready and also pour over coffee (they grind your choice of coffee beans and pour hot water as per order). The staff is patient and when asked for variety give good suggestions. What I always order: Coffee and the sprout breakfast burrito - 5 each! Lemon bar or cake - 5 Service - 5. Friendly and helpful staff Price - $ for the food (Another reason why I keep going back!) $$ for the coffee (but again they have some good flavors...) Also, give the smoothies a try, they're always fresh and in the summer months it's a great way to cool off from the summer heat. Try one of their cinnamon rolls, they are gigantic and so yummy! I'd love to give them 5 stars but lately they have just been going down hill. I love their pumpkin scones but they have been getting sooo much smaller and the presentation of them has lacked as well. A glob of icing in the middle rather than taking the extra few second to spread it out makes a difference to me and the overall taste. I was not disappointed, in fact I was very impressed. Not only did they make my grilled breakfast burrito from scratch, they also mixed me a 100% pure coconut-banana-pineapple smoothie that was simply orgasmic. I highly recommend the place if you're looking for a decent meal and/or beverage for great prices. Tucked away in the Cannery Square plaza in Sun Praire in front of a nice fountain, the atmosphere was very welcoming. The woman who took my order was extremely friendly and welcoming. Beans 'n Cream has a pretty nice advantage in Sun Prairie since it is the only coffee shop in the city. But this does not cause it sit idle and offer low quality coffee or sub par service. The service is always top notch and ever since they switched to Kickapoo coffee, the products have improved. I'd say I stop here at least twice a week if not more. Free Wifi, comfy chairs, and cozy fire place all make it a great place to relax and escape from your day. The brew coffee is great! Always a handful of different types going at any time so even if all you want a is a cup o' joe, you can try something different each time. The frappes and or hard-to-find cold pressed iced coffee is perfect on a hot day. Lattes, cappuccinos, and other espresso are great as well. The breakfast sandwiches are huge and filling. They also serve ice cream (hence the cream in Beans 'n Cream). The owners are friendly and often present. The are very supportive of local activities and frequently feature community artwork on the walls. The only thing I'd like to see improve is the bakery selection. You'd be hard pressed to find another coffee shop open as late as Beans is. Even compared to Madison. If you need to wake up at 6am or to stay up at 9pm, this is the place. read more

I have gotten a handful of different coffee beverages here, and they have all been perfectly fine. Caramel latte, vanilla latte, caramel steamer (yes, there is a theme) - all good. Mostly, lately, I've been going for the ice cream. I take my sons, who are 4 and 7, and we each get a junior scoop. It is around $2 each, and you get a nice-sized serving of delicious ice cream. Beans 'n' Cream carries up to eight flavors (last time they had three) of premium ice cream from Chocolate Shoppe and Sassy Cow (both local). The staff is nice, the place is clean, the women's bathroom has a whimsically painted interior, and the children's play area is better than most (I'd give it a 4/5). read more

My husband and I stopped here after a long day of house shopping. I ordered the fall/winter special "Jack Frost Latte", my husband ordered the "Tuxedo". I really enjoyed mine. I am always a little leery when trying a new local coffee shop, most of the time they are excellent, but every once in a while they are terrible....Beans and Cream was not one of those. I have since been back three times in the last three weeks. I "work from home" a lot, which means I work from a coffee shop as to not eat all day and watch T.V. This has been my place. All three times the coffee drinks were great. Prepared well, the coffee smooth. I have eaten lunch here as well. That also did not disappoint. I ordered the quiche, my husband ordered the pulled pork sandwich. I liked mine, it was good, but his was better. More filling (thats what I get for ordering quiche). While in the Sun Prairie area I was looking for a coffee shop (besides Starbucks) that is open in the evening and landed here. Took me a while to find a parking spot, but after circling the block a time or two I got lucky and a spot opened up. This a super cute cafe with lovely warm decor,including a fireplace, a cozy corner for kids to play and original art for sale on the walls. If you don't want breakfast food (even for dinner) I wouldn't recommend coming here to eat. I was hoping for a salad, but the only options were breakfast burritos, breakfast bowl and 2 or 3 sandwiches. Guess I'm just too used to my usual haunt and expected a wider variety. I ordered the sweet potato and beans breakfast bowl, which was very tasty... but was served with the tortilla I asked not be included (fortunately my avoidance of wheat based products is not because of a gluten intolerance). We are here visiting family (we're from Los Angeles) ... Trying to find a local breakfast place that has something that resembles a vegan meal isn't easy, so we decided to check this place out. When we're in Wisconsin, we eat dairy, so the 'bowl breakfast' minus the eggs was a good fit. After sitting with our coffee for about five minutes, one of the staff came over with our food and cash -- she said it took too long for our food to arrive so they were giving us back our money.
