I have met friends, and brought house guests to Beans 'n Cream locations in Sun Prairie for years. Today I was with 2 friends, and found B'nC's usual quality lacking. The bakery selection was mostly "out of stock", and the scones, that all 3 of us chose, were dry and tasteless. I took half of my cranberry almond one home. Later in the afternoon I heated it gently in the microwave, but that just made it mushy & still quite tasteless. The staff was still friendly & accommodating, & the coffee was hot & o.k. We all had 'drip' coffee. I will go back again in a few weeks, but if the bakery items are still a disappointment, I plsn to try a new coffee shop coming to town, for sure. read more

If there were a contest for best breakfast burrito, I would vote for Beans 'n Cream! So far I've had the bacon and the sausage burritos, and both are excellent. They are always piping hot and extra delicious. The chipotle mayo is unmatched. Coffee has always been excellent here. I've tried a lot of their specialty drinks, now it's hard for me to decide which is my favorite. I get all of my coffees iced and love the flavors. I really enjoy the Honey Bee and Coconut Mocha lattes, more recently i had the staff pick of Vanilla Pistachio! The cold brew is also top notch. read more

3.5 stars. Cute little area coffee shop with lots of windows that allow for natural lighting. This location has a cozy nook with a fireplace behind a faux wood half wall. I got the cinnamon roll and a salted caramel latte. The cinnamon roll had the look and texture of a nothing bun, topped with a heap of icing that was reminiscent of Cinnabon frosting. The latte arrived warn, though I like it hawt. I couldn't differentiate the salted caramel aside from the regular latte flavor but it was a very smooth drink nonetheless. They make all their baked goods in house and you can peer though the large display glass to take a peak at what's in production for the day. read more

Beans 'n Cream is just down the street from the school I teach at. I absolutely love stopping by before or after school to pick up a chai tea latte with oat milk. Their drinks are so delicious and flavorful! I also love the lavender lemonade when they have it. I've tried their scones, muffins, and the grilled cheese sandwich as well. Everything I've tried has been so good! The inside is super nice and clean as well. They have plenty of tables inside and some outside to choose from. They have a drive thru which has been quick and efficient each time. The location is great and super easy to get to whether you're going through the drive thru, getting something to go, or dining in. The staff here are always so friendly and helpful. They give great recommendations and are very quick to supply orders. The seasonal menus are lovely! Ive never been to a coffeeshop that has such a nice selection of diverse flavors and drink options. The drinks are pretty sweet though, so be wary if you're not into that! Raise your standards, Beans 'n Cream. Your bakery items are just not very good and priced way too high. I recently got a lemon poppyseed muffin and it was so dense and dry, I literally could not even squeeze it between my fingers. The flavor was dull and it was downright unpleasant to eat, I only made it a few bites. And I paid $4 for the privilege! I never do this but I felt like demanding my money back. Similarly, their cookies have always been dry, crumbly and lacking flavor. At one time they had oatmeal butterscotch cookies that were actually pretty good, but of course they stopped making them after a few months for some reason. It's hard to give this place one star because previously they've been great. But when multiple trips in a row they have poor quality it can't go unnoticed. 3weeks ago they used what tasted to be expired milk in the drink I ordered. Then the last 2 times I ordered a latte there was a substantial amount of espresso grounds found in my coffee each time. When drinks cost what they do I'd rather shop local but not if what you get is poor quality at the same price as everywhere else. read more

I'm really happy to see another drive-thru coffee shop in Sun Prairie. Great atmosphere, coffee, and baked goods. I usually go for a hot latte and a pastry. I've tried the iced white chocolate mocha latte which was made with a lot of love. That was definitely by far one of the better iced drinks I've ever had. The espresso shots really took a toll on me. I practically cleaned my whole house. Really friendly and customer service savvy baristas. I love that they offer a punch card after purchasing so many drinks. The location is excellent. Stop by for coffee and walk over to thrift at St. Vinny's! Given that their an established business I was a little disappointed that they almost always run out of certain pastries or popular ones by late morning or noon. Please stock more pastries. Beans and cream is my favorite coffee shop in the Madison area. The bottomless cup of coffee is a great deal and I personally love the coffee they have. For lunch I had the grilled cheese and tomato soup combo. The grilled cheese was delicious but the soup was just okay So next time I would get just grilled cheese instead. Some people hate the plastic cups but they do have mugs that you could ask to use if you really want a mug to use. The staff is always really friendly and hard working, and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxing. Also they have a rewards card program which I think is really cool for a local coffee shop. read more

Came here for coffee and lunch with colleagues. Thought the inside was so cute! Love the decor and fireplace. They had a great variety of drinks and some breakfast and lunch food options. I got an oat milk chai latte and it was so delicious! They have a whole "oat milk" section on their menu which is highly appreciated for those who don't drink dairy! I also ordered a grilled cheese and it was so delicious! High quality, tasty cheeses and the bread was pressed in a panini maker or something like that. Whatever they did, it was delicious! We love coming here for the cortado coffee, the cozy atmosphere and the great little kids play area. The bakery treats are outstanding and we can't wait to stop in to pick up another loaf of bread! Went here 9/7/19 and ordered a breakfast burrito. Usually the breakfast burritos at B&C are delicious, but this particular time it was awful. The eggs were either curdled or tasted like fake powdered eggs. It was so bad I couldn't eat it. I always like to support our local small businesses and restauranteurs, but it's hard to want to go back when you cannot make something as simple as a breakfast burrito. My first visit to the west side location was pleasant and my latte was as others I've gotten from east side location. The atmosphere was casual and inviting; plenty of seating including some outdoor tables. Service was a bit slow but it appeared there were some new baristas so patience to be expected. I will always love beans n cream. I've been going there every week since I got my first job as a 14 year old. The coffee is usually great, the scones snd other foods are delicious, and the staff are the most delightful people that will try their best to help you with whatever you might need. Terrible experience. Ordered 3 cinnamon rolls and 3 lavender blueberry donuts. Both choices were awful, near inedible. Cinnamon rolls were dry and glopped with a ton of sugary frosting. Thought we would stop for a coffee and then pick up a bottle of spirits next door. Ended up parking in the liquor store parking stall because no other parking stall was open. Resist this! Had my latte which was just okay and found the SP Police issuing me a ticket in the parking lot. So, didn't buy my $80 bottle of bourbon as planned not will I ever spend another cent there again. Easier to stop at Starbucks and buy my bourbon across the street at Woodman's. The coffee shop was really just okay.
