Delicious coffee and healthy breakfast options. My mom and I both got the healthy start because we are gluten free, and it was a fantastic choice with poached eggs and lots of vegetables. The location is a bit confusing as it was difficult for us to locate with our phone GPS (possibly due to the construction as well), but we used the maps and around the canal area and eventually found it.

Beany Green is a fab place to go for brunch. I love their unique and delicious fun options that are slightly different from the regular choices you'll find. For example, their charcoal toast and broccoli corn fritters are delicious and also something you probs wouldn't see normally. The one thing I'll remember from this place is their house made labne. I had to look up what that was because I had no idea. It's a type of strained yogurt. Thanks wiki. But they added it to their shakshuka and their avocado, eggs and toast dish and it is SO FREAKING GOOD. You don't need much but it adds a fantastic creamy and savoury taste. NOM. Anyway, the interior is fun with plenty of natural light and I loved their food. They're quite famous for their coconut bread french toast. It tastes more like a pound cake type thing and if you're a fan of coconut then I'd say go for it. I'll be sticking with the shakshuka and labne :)

    A delicious shakshuka!

Came back after a year, still solid! Order liquid gold and shakshouka with charcoal sourdough toast. Both are exceptional good. I was worried a bit the flavour of the liquid gold as it is not easy handle turmeric taste without sweeten it too mush, loosing originality of the turmeric taste and flavour. It actually got balanced really well. The shakshouka is hearty and well made too. For the charcoal sourdough. It was excellent. I am very picky on sourdough as I often bake them myself, know exactly what a good real sourdough should taste like. They met my expectation!

THE best breakfast I've ever had in my life so far. The smoothie for one was perfect, very flavorful and fresh with a great consistency. My entree was perfectly done, the bread tasted homemade and was soft, yet crunchy and the hot sauce they used was spicy but yet gave a huge punch of flavor to the dish. The eggs were perfectly poached and the entire thing was splendidly seasoned. I could rave about every aspect of my meal here, even just the avocado! I never would have mixed the dressing, greens and spices with avocado like that but it turned out to be a perfect way to prepare it. Simply stellar meal. And the restaurant itself is excitingly decorated with cute little loungers outside, which make it easy to noticed while walking by. The employees were nice and our food all arrived very promptly. No downsides to be reported

The recently opened and growing Beany Green cafe chain is definitely going up my favourite cafes as of late. This particular cafe, due to its location next to the canal at the back of Sheldon Square is perfect for your weekend coffee and brunch needs. You will not only find delicious food made with quality fresh ingredients, but also good coffee, friendly staff and a nice view. What is more, the area is less busy in the weekend so there's plenty of space to sit and relax. The desserts are pretty tasty as well, especially the brownies and the cake with marshmallows. Definitely recommend having a look at this when you're in the area.

This quirky, colourful cafe with huge windows and an astro turfed outside covered in deck chairs is located at the back of Paddington basin by the canal. Most weekends it has a great busy vibe and most importantly the brunch menu is amazing! You order from the counter however be sure to get yourself a seat before you go up. If you order without or change your mind about sitting outside you may end up standing! We luckily grabbed a table for 2 even though it was so busy at 1pm on a Sunday. The brunch menu has a good selection of savoury and sweet dishes and there is also a counter full of cakes, wraps and a salad bar (which all look amazing). We went for the eggs on charcoal toast with avocado and their famous toasted banana bread with mascarpone and berries. For drinks we got a vegan nut smoothie (banana, almond milk and chia seeds) and a latte. The food was actually brought out pretty sharpish, especially as it was so busy and boy was it presented nicely! Everything was delish! The eggs and toast although to begin with was a little plain after adding their homemade spicy paste really made the dish. The eggs were also cooked perfectly with a tasty runny yolk. The thick slices of warm banana bread were something else, topped with agave, fresh berries and mascarpone made it sooo indulgent and tasty! The drinks were equally good and the coffee was definitely above par! There is plenty left on both their lunch and brunch menu that I want to try so I'll be back :) highly recommend!

This has been my second visit, I made a special journey! There's something about this appendix of Regents Canal that reminds me of Melbourne (don't ask me why, it's just one of these weird things), so having an Aussie cafe pop up here seems almost logical. It's really good to see this negleced part of town come into its own. I'm always trying to lure visitors who stop over in Paddington out of the station's back doors - a whole new world opens up, so much more exciting than the chain stores within the station itself. Beany Green is such a nice surprise, and it's good to see this independent cafe buzz with office workers - a much healther choice than Subway or Starbucks and quicker and cheaper than the pub at the other end of the same block. For £5 you get a substantial meal, either a deliciously unusual wrap (the tortillas are green and tasty, and I had a lovely spicy chicken filling the other day) or a generous serving of salads (five delicious varieties to choose from, all fresh and raw - true five a day, and all in one go!). Lemon infused water is available for free and there's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the canal. Definitely the best value lunch I have had all week! I tried to ignore the sweet temptations on offer, but now that I know they are there I may well find an excuse to return for an afternoon treat some weekend. I hope Beany Green is here to stay - such a treat!

A relaxed atmosphere by the canal with fresh food and good coffee, need I say more ;-)

Very good and Nice staff. A top three in London for breakfast. It is in a funny location you Will Not see as a regular tourist, But a very charming place and it is worth the trip.

Aussie breakfast. Might be my new fave! The interior is super vibrant and feels real chilled but because I didn't book an advance I've got the pleasure of sitting outside. Unfortunately the wind is out and the traffic roaring on the bypass next to me but it won't stop me enjoying this deliciousness! If you need a fix then it's gotta be the Bondi Breakfast! No breakfast before looked so good!

I was very happy with my decision to eat here! I had already had brunch, but stopped and looked at the menu and couldn't pass it up. I had a very hard time deciding what I should get, but ultimately landed on the banana bread sandwich, and it was amazing! The outdoor patio is a great place to go if it is good weather.

Superb banana bread, great flat white and delicious juices. My favorite spot in the area!

My husband said his sandwich reminded him of one his mom used to make at home growing up, which is a lovely sign. Mine was a slightly above an average burger with a touch of dijonnaise and pickles. We also had a side of the truffle hash browns and they were great! Just a classic, crispy hash brown with a hint of truffle flavor. I hope to try another sandwich before my trip ends. Things were looking promising when I saw a vegetarian breakfast offered in lieu of the traditional English breakfast. I was drawn to the dish because it offered spinach and hash browns in lieu of all the meat in its partner dish. My friend ordered the regular Full English and her dish came out well before mine. I waited roughly 10-15 minutes longer for something that would appear to take less cook time. The plate came out and I noticed there was no spinach. I was not offered a choice as a substitute nor made aware of the situation. Long story short I ended up ordering the Full English and they forgot my black pudding. Waited additional time for that as well. Then they forgot I asked for the bill. Overall, I would not recommend it, especially if you're on a time schedule and multiple mishaps occurred. We're quite proud of our coffee scene, and Butter Bakery could beat out most of the options in Portland. I had an oat milk latte and an americano, plus a few food items. Let's start with the americano. Now, I'll admit, I'm not the most skilled barista. I have some sense of how to pull a shot of espresso, but I'm not brilliant at it. With that as context: I do not exaggerate when I say there was more of that delicious creamy head on the americano than I've managed on some straight shots I've pulled. The espresso roast was subtle and sweet -- I waited too long to write this review, so I couldn't cite precise notes, but this is definitely a roast I could enjoy sipping on and slowly analyzing, while still being very approachable. The americano was perhaps a tiny hair more diluted than I would have liked, but it didn't quite reach "watery" either. I choose to see this as a deliberate choice to further open up the profile of the espresso. The oat latte was expertly foamed, with the right amount of oat milk so as not to overwhelm the espresso. It was on the dry side, almost a cappuccino, which is exactly what I prefer in a latte (if I wanted a cortado, I'd ask for a cortado). I don't know which oat milk they use, but it was sweet and creamy and simple and complemented the espresso beautifully. There's also a food menu that, while not hugely extensive, is packed full of gems. I very much enjoyed the pesto mozzarella tomato panini with extremely its fresh ingredients. It's about the size you'd expect for a cafe panini, and thus a bit more expensive than I'm comfortable with, but I'll chalk that up to the location -- compared with other local options, Butter Bakery Bar and Cafe is absolutely a contender for a budget lunch. Lastly, I'll just mention: I did not try the Mediterranean mains options, so I can't speak to their quality, but seeing things like mezze on a cafe menu is a nice change of pace.
