There's not exactly a wide variety of milk teas like what I'm used but there's enough options that you can definitely find at least one option to enjoy. I got the rose milk tea with tapioca and the honeydew milk tea with green apple jelly. Nothing extravagant but also nothing to be left missing. Because of the pandemic, you gotta line up outside because they're a smaller shop and there just isn't enough space to maintain a 2 meter distance. We were craving some bubble/boba tea in London and happened on Bubbleology after exploring Portobello Market. It's not the best but it's good for what is available. You can get actual tapioca balls here (since a lot of the bubble tea places have the popping ones only). I had to minus one star because we noticed some of the tapioca pearls were under-cooked (hard). Also for you lactose intolerant people, I know many bubble tea places in Asia and the USA will use lactose free milk or other milk substitutes like almond, coconut, etc. This place uses straight milk unless you pay extra so just make sure you do otherwise you'll get milk. read more

Studying abroad in the UK, it was a bit difficult finding the proper milk tea or boba spot that could compete with home's, so much so that I was on a boba hiatus for months. But the fun storefront display at Bubbleology definitely lured me in. The inside looked just as fun as the outside with all the colorful chemistry set, though a bit small, luckily there weren't many people around so it seemed like a nice place to sit down and quench our thirst. The staff inside were very helpful, and I really loved their scientist uniforms! They were very enthusiastic and insightful in everything that on their menus, and gave nice recommendations. Definitely don't be afraid to ask questions! They understand that boba is kind of a new thing in this part of the world and love sharing! In the end, my boba buddy and I went for a passionfruit and peach fruit tea with boba, and a jasmine milk tea with boba. I thought both drinks were very nice and refreshing, and the boba was just right (been to some places where they were either too soft or too hard, which could definitely ruin the drinking experience!). I'd say it was a little pricey, but what isn't in London? And I do come from a place where boba shops are like the new Starbucks. Definitely come in experience this fun little shop and have a taste, especially when more boba places start popping up, and you can be the expert amongst your friend about this new trendy drink! read more

I was looking for a good bubble tea in London to fulfill my boba cravings, but Bubbleology didn't meet my expectations. I purchased a large, cold jasmine milk tea with regular bubbles, and excitedly waited for my drink. However, when I got my drink, I realized that the cup wasn't even completely filled, and half of the cup was filled with ice! Of the rest of the volume, the tapioca pearls were in large clumps (but of good, chewy consistency unlike Boba Jam) and milk tea was well mixed. Bubbleology really needs to reconsider its proportions of ice to milk tea to bubbles, otherwise I don't see why someone would pay 3.75 quid to get a large cup of ice with small amounts of average-tasting bubbles and milk tea. Quirky bubble tea shop with a few locations around London. When I pass by and I am feeling low-bloodsugary/parched, I can't help but stop in Bubbleology. The almond and rose teas (any of the milk teas, really) are some of my favorites, and though sometimes I get jelly or popping boba, I always go back to original. Some of my pickier friends have griped that the boba aren't properly cooked or over done, but I don't really notice that. Its not cheap, but I have a thing for boba tea, and I will keep on patronizing this shop for sure. Great place to take the kids for sure. Oh my god! I landed in London and I was walking around for some bubble tea. I stumbled upon this place and ran in with my friends. I got the strawberries and cream drink and I was mind blown. This drink was so sweet and good to the point that I almost bought another one on the spot after taking one sip, but I didn't cause I needed to save my stomach for real food. I almost came back here after dinner. The drink was like strawberry milk with tapioca and strawberry popping bobas with whipped cream on top. I always thought tapioca and strawberry popping bobas might be a bit weird, but this pairing was perfect for this drink. Their boba was definitely on a more bland side, but the chewiness and strawberry popping boba made up for it. This is definitely the best strawberries and cream drink I've ever had in my life. I will definitely come back here again when I visit London in the future. The drink smoothly went down my throat and it was super refreshing. Bubblllleees. When ever I go into a Bubbleology bar I have the image of Bubbles from Finding Nemo in my head. So many Bubbles, so much fun. I was never a fan of bubble tea as I'm not a fan of tapioca balls. However they now have popping boda which, in my opinion, are so much better and make the bubble tea amazing. I'm a fan of the passion fruit balls with lychee tea, however there are so many other choices you will be spoilt for choice. The staff are amazing too. Very friendly in their white lab coat. If you like bubble tea you will love this place. If you have never tried bubble tea, you need to come and try it. In case you haven't, it's made from cold tea, flavoured powder and then a selection of add ins such as jellies, and tapioca. I got my favourite flavour which is Taro (a purple root) with tapioca balls. It's more of a classic choice to what's on menu (such as banoffee pie). With all the combinations, the flavours really are unlimited. Try out the popping boba which are juice filled balls which will pop in your mouth. Keep in mind that it's very sweet and pretty much a meal on it's own as it can be very filling. The staff wore these adorable sciency (is that a word?) get-ups and nerdy glasses to give the place a fun theme. I decided to go for a cold Almond Pearl Tea, which is an Almond flavored milk tea with an addition of strawberry bobas. It was. Awesome. The chewy tapioca balls were great and I loved the bite-pop-enjoy experience I had with the bobas. The only flaw I found was that the liquid-to-pearl ratio was a bit skewed. There was an abundance of pearls left and sadly, no more delicious liquid, so it was impossible to suck the balls through the straw, which sounds pretty wrong, yet funny. Tender boba, a variety of jellies and 'popping' bubble add-ins, bold and flavourful (albeit a bit sugary) tea, plentiful indoor and outdoor seating, and a zany, mad scientist-y theme -- how can you not like Bubbleology? They do drinks both hot and cold, which is nice as well. Today was sunny and warm outside, so a cold passionfruit tea with regular boba did the job. Sister got a Banoffee pie milk* tea, as it was a special flavour of the day. Mine was delicious, light, and refreshing; hers...not so much. In terms of price points, considering what you're getting...nearly £4 for boba seems a bit steep, though not unheard of. *'Milk' is not quite the right word to use for their teas of this type, because they are made with non-dairy milk substitute, ie coffee creamer. And that is just what hers tasted like...banana-flavoured coffee creamer with some caramel syrup. I'll pass. read more

The staff was very kind and helpful and the menu had a lot of options for flavors and add-ins, like lychee and tapioca. I had a passion fruit green tea with tapioca and it was delicious and filling! Bubble tea is better than I thought.... Or at least this place serves better bubble tea than I thought they would. It's still not my thing so I guess the review wont help anyone who loves bubble tea! Service was friendly and there is tonnes of choice. I got to try a few different flavours including some milk ones which were definitely my favourite over the juices which just tasted too fake sweet. I also like the bursts rather than the tapioca pearls and jellies - I hate the textures! I'm afraid I'm not a convert but it was a thirst quenching drink for sure! read more

I had the rose milk tea with boba and it was great. They were friendly there and the atmosphere was cute. Would recommend for bubble lovers! The reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because we specifically went there because I like Sea Salt Creme in my bubble tea. This place said on their menu they had "salted cream cheese crown" which looked similar. We got there at about 9pm only to find out they run out of the salted cream cheese early in the day. This is really disappointing, because if a place advertises something on their menu, should they not have it at all hours they are open? If they don't, they should say on their menu "available till xyz". Otherwise good bubbletea and would recommend! read more

I needed an indulgence after a long, long day of walking, and they didn't disappoint -- I had their rosemilk tea with boba (£3.75), and it was simply delicious. It was sweet without being cloying, and so refreshing on an unseasonably warm day. If you order a cold tea, make sure they remove the ice before serving it; it makes it hard to hoover up the delicious boba after the tea is finished. One other tip -- make sure you have some change with you. I tend to rely on my bank card for the sake of convenience, but they won't take cards for amounts less than £5. read more

It has a chemistry lab theme to it. The workers all wear white laboratory jackets as they make your bubble tea. It has never been overly crowded the couple times I've been here. A lot of parents take their kids here for a treat and it is also popular when the kids get out of school. Lots of flavors to choose from. I noticed they recently added avocado and taro flavors. I normally get the assam milk tea with ice. I also tell them that I want mine less sweet and they always comply. read more

I've not got bubblemania just yet, but it seems to be a hit with tourists and especially American visitors to London. I'm more of a proper tea man myself but, open to quirky colourful ideas. The staff are friendly and the location is down my street which makes it tempting to pop in on the way home. I couldn't say that i'd go out of my way to go here although much better than corporate schmorporate chains like Costa and Starbucks. I wouldn't go here for an English tea, cake and biscuits experience, more for a quick refreshing drink that is different. read more

A great place to have a drink and have some fun. I used to live a minutes walk around the corner from this place and I would come whenever I could. A very sweet taste but not to be missed. I would recommend Mango or Passionfruit with either of those flavours popping balls but no jelly. No toilets which is annoying seeing as they only sell drinks and is quite expensive so not for every day. read more

Although I do enjoy the bubble tea here generally, the new delivery service they so proudly advertise on their site is entirely useless, as 9:25 is apparently after 9:30. What's the point of saying deliveries go from noon till 9:30, if they actually don't? Immediately after getting a mocha bubble tea from this branch I was terribly sick....,...I called them to complain and all they offered was we are sorry that you had a bad reaction to one of the ingredients... ....not sure what their ingredients are but i do not have any known allergies so was def a case of something wrong. read more
