This review is way overdue. I took my son to Shelby for ISR in 2019. My personal experience with…read moreShelby was not a good one. Granted, it was her first time doing ISR, but she was not my cup of tea. When you are working with babies and children, I feel like you should have a kind way about you... you should ENJOY working with children or you shouldn't be doing so. When working with my son, she became easily frustrated and it was plainly evident. It was evident to my (at the time) 10 month old, as well. It affected his entire experience and outcome. The thing that REALLY rubbed me the wrong way was the fact that when I turned on my camera to video my son floating, she became sweet as pie. Her whole demeanor changed; the frustration left her face, the tone of her voice changed, she played with him, did "look at the bubbles!", etc. completely fake. And then as soon as my phone went down, she reverted back to the cold, uncaring person she was before. Harsh review, I know, but it's the truth. I would not take my children back and would strongly advise friends and family to seek lessons elsewhere.

Being a first-time…read moremom, I really didn't know what I was looking for, but did know I wanted to enroll my son in some type of water safety classes. Although we don't have a pool at home, we have relatives with pools and we love to take the kayaks out on the water. Now that my son was walking, I wanted to make sure I took the necessary precautions before subjecting my son to a potentially dangerous situation. Long story short, we came across Delta Babies and I contacted Shelby to see what options we had. She responded right away and offered her available spots for the next season. We were provided a ton of information on the ISR program and the benefits it has and signed our son up right away. I was thankful she was able to fit us in, on such short notice (her schedule fills up quick)! For the first few weeks, my son cried the entire time, which I guess is normal for some kids. After about week 3, he was actually practicing his floats and rotations in the tub on his own. I love that Shelby will work with kids that need additonal time at no charge! Our son finished the float course and we have him enrolled in the next course which starts in a few weeks. I've asked him if he wants to go swim with Shelby again and he now says "Yah, Sha-Bee". I honestly have nothing bad to say about Shelby. She is an amazing instructor, very outgoing, and is great with kids. I'm so glad we found her!

We wouldn't find out she's wasnt coming until WE REACHED OUT TO HER. Today was her 4th cancelation. Lisa is a total fraud. She only communicated via text. See screenshots below. I'll post more since my husband also communicated with her. As of today, she has responded to my review and non of our texts requesting for a refund for her failure to keep her end of our agreement. Lisa, these aren't feelings they're facts. Facts that prove your unprofessionalism to take accountability for your actions that created unsatisfied experience for a customers. I wish I checked her yelp page before I paid her because clearly I am not the first person she pulled this fraud on. She had done it before and looks like she is a professional at. I found her on superproof app. Lisa had her website listed so I went to check it out and she immediately pinged me on it. She was very friendly. She asked me to pay upfront for all 3 classes including the travel fees. Even though, she was insisting, I said I was willing to pay for 1 class first and go from there. She agreed to it. She said her cashapp is having issues but asked me to send it to her son's Zelle account. I did hesitate it at the beginning but thought who would want to risk their business to scam someone for one class fee. Well I guess, someone like Lisa would. I decided to pay and book her. I sent her son the money as requested. I even sent her $1 first to test if its the right account and sent her the rest. On the day of the lesson, I texted her to confirm and then she said you have to pay in full to book her. I said I paid in full for 1 class so why not do that class first. I provided my phone number to her for future communication but she still was sending me messages via her website which I don't get notifications for, so I missed the message she sent asking me for full payment. On the day of the class, when it was clear to me that she won't be coming anymore, I asked her to refund and she agreed to it. However, it's been over 3 weeks and no refund and she won't answer my calls nor text. Her son's Zelle account is also disconnected. SO BEWARE and STAY AWAY! I have screenshots of her text messages saying she will refund and me following up multiple times.

He enjoyed his lessons so much. My second child is still a student there and tbe staff is so patient with her. This is the only program to teach special needs kids to swim that doesn't charge an obscene amount of money for less. Everything for our kids is always more expensive so I appreciate this program. The people there are patient and accommodating, especially considering they also have to deal with some parents with unrealistic expectations and a lack of understanding. I recommend this program all the time I brag to my family about how well my kids are doing. Take some of the negative reviews with a grain of salt. One in particular because this parent changed the wording of their review on this platform but im posting the other one they left. Which points out exactly why they were asked to leave. Race related Comments are unacceptable and shame on this parent for going there and then making it seem like it was the programs fault. How dare you! Own your own mistakes and your own racism work on YOURSELF before you go risking MY child's program because you can't control yourself.

Cyndie was able to manage her AND teach her. She also helped her love swimming. So much that she actually agreed to join our local swim team this year without all the normal resistance that we usually get when we suggest new activities. That is a HUGE win in my book, only made possible by Cyndie. Cyndie is respectful of MY time and my investment. She starts every lesson time and gives my daughter focused attention during the whole lesson. Her online scheduling was easy, quick, and clear, accommodating my hectic summer schedule. The price honestly took me back. More than any other swim teachers I've done with my others kids. As I think of my 2 other kids swim lessons, they spent much of the lesson trying to convince them to get into the cold pool, and managing their shivers. Cyndie HEATS her pool. (And as a PG and E customer and pool owner, I KNOW this is not cheap $$$) What I also know is, warm water equals quicker learning and more success. And that is what Lodi Swim Training has provided my daughter, Success and a love for swimming.

I took the Clinical Medical Assisting Class offered by CalRegional also known as HarperRand…read moreCalRegional. It was $2,995, for 8 weeks, in person 9AM-1PM. Textbook not included (I have a physical MA Textbook available for sale for this class, if anyone wants to buy it off of me lmao! Not kidding either!) Navy Blue scrubs only is the uniform color you'll need for the class. My instructor was Ms Nina, although we were able to meet and be taught by the then, CalRegional Manager but now Instructor again, Melony for our class for a few days. Melony is a great instructor for the few days we had her. She taught us a lot. She is also very approachable and it was easy to get ahold of her. She was always responsive when I needed to get in contact with her towards the end of my class when she was placing me for my Externship. I was actually very lucky to be apart of the last of her students she placed for Externship before she stepped down as manager and became an Instructor again. Now Kathi is the current CalRegional manager. Let's get back to my class, as I said my Instructor was Ms Nina and I can't say enough good about her. She is the best! She's honest and open, her teaching methods are very hands on. She's funny as hell and super relatable too! She gave us a lot of insight on what to expect in the real world and couldn't stress safety enough! Our class was small, but made the learning experience all the more better. She taught us all so well and really made the time to help each one of us to be successful and absorb and understand what she was teaching us. Healthcare and the world in general need more people like Ms Nina! Thanks to her, I scored so well on my AMCA Exam and feel more confident than ever in my ability to be an amazing CMA. Note for future students: get all your prerequisites in by the first week! (Except for the drug test obviously, but at least pay for it and upload your receipt) Don't wait until midterm. Get it done by the first or second week. That way when it comes time for Kathi to place you at your externship, you can get placed sooner rather than later. I did all my pre reqs by the first week and got my externship start date for 3 days after my last day of class. If you wait til last minute to upload all your pre reqs and you'll end up being placed at externship later, because CalRegional technically has up to 60 days to place you. Also, pay your tuition in full so that way once you finish your externship and email your booklet to CalRegional you can immediately get your Certificate! If not, you don't receive it until you're paid in full.
