Bearded Brewer is a great little brewery in the Millard area. There aren't a ton in that area so I appreciate that. The inside is very clean and simple - a nice, bright place to have a few drinks and chat with friends. The patio is great too when it's nice outside. All their brews are fabulous in my experience. My favorites are Great Plains Lager and the Cairns Pilsner (I am a fan of lighter beers if you couldn't tell). They have lots of different beer styles from Kölsches to Dunkels, and IPAs to Ales. So you'll definitely find something you like. They sell Kringles flavored pretzels for snacking on, or at least they did when I went last. Love those! Aside from that, they have food trucks that post up there as well, so definitely check their schedule to see who will be there when you want to go. I stopped by while in town again. Great beer as always. Staff is so attentive and one guy was going to everyone's table both inside and outside to order beers on his tablet which get sent right to the bar to be poured. I enjoyed the Cuban food truck they had on site too. read more

This is now in my top 5 all time favorite local breweries. They have been around a while but I have just visited them twice, once on my birthday and once in early June. They are very prompt with pours and very friendly, answering any questions you have. Their beer is delicious and I especially like the wide variety of styles they have. To top it off, their bar snacks are super good. Got the habanero or ghost pepper cheese balls and they were amazing. Also got their pretzel mix and that was good too. The brewer here is just plain fun. And, yes, the guys who work here have facial hair. It's about the beer. I have never known them to have a regular beer on tap. It's always changing. They get creative. If you're bitter about breweries that don't have enough IPAs, no worry. They have them here. I shared a picture of three small pours of what intrigued us on this visit. Peanut Butter Porter, BF Pink (west coast IPA with grapefruit and sea salt), and Vivid Nectaron Dreams IPA. All fun and good in their own way. My friend wanted to try a new brewery and this was the choice that I made. The place was packed, but we were lucky to find a two seater table. One of the employees brought us an extra chair as well. They had a Mexican food truck parked outside, but they offered pretzels and snack mix to purchase at the bar. I was upset they didn't have a lot that I wanted to try, but I did find a German beer that was delicious. The place was very clean, the employees were very nice, and they offer a lot of parking. Banana Dream, a fruited Berliner weisse at 7.1 ABV. Tastes like banana without the sideways, tinny taste that some fruit beers put out. I love traveling, especially to travel to go to all different types of breweries. And I just recently traveled back home to visit my mother. I was looking for breweries to visit, which my aunt mentioned a relatively new place that opened near where she lived. Very happy she mentioned this place. Visited on a Saturday which was pretty busy. We sat at the bar, which there are tables to sit at too. We were greeted by a friendly bearded guy (can't recall if we got his name) But instantly he wanted to know what craft beers we were into or in the mood for. Very personable and helpful. A really good beer connoisseur. Which I'm pretty sure he was a owner/co-owner. Nectaron Memories being the best beer I had there. My aunt and I really enjoyed this place. First off, the owners/head brewer are lovely people who are clearly passionate about their beer and community! The staff is always pleasant and helpful, and I like that they have table service. I'm so glad to see a brewery that takes a chance with wild recipes rather than the same old tired beers. Located way out west is convenient for me but makes it quite the drive for many people. It's worth the trip! The brewery is clean and sparse with plenty of space to hang out for a while. They frequently have food trucks during the evening hours of you need some grub The beer menu is in constant flux which is a double edged sword. My favorite beer thus far has only been available for one weekend. Bummer. I think their seltzers and "smoothie" beers are the most exciting drinks. Also, slow pour , Pilsner My Big Fanny Pack : I don't go for Pilsner. This Pilsner is so flavorful. Can't say enough. Also tried the Craft Seltzer: Smoothie Puna Colada Seltzer. (I'm also not a seltzer person..... so yummy, the best!! I wanted to guzzle it. But it is 4.5% ABV so go easy, it's not water. Overall: the workers are so friendly, the owners are so friendly, the brewer is so friendly AND (we are not worthy) so easy to talk to. Can't wait to get back here. Have always loved this place but I'm disappointed that they have so many IPAs now. Have told many people that it is the best brewery in town but I'm starting to rethink that. They used to have more porters and stouts. Don't seem to have as many smooties. I know they're opening a new place in Colorado and IPAs are the driving force there.
