The prices may be high for Sweetwater standards, but it is by far the nicest store in Sweetwater. The town itself is cute and worth the drive.

If they offered a sleepover package, I would definitely buy a ticket, hang my hammock, and camp out with some friends because you need more than one visit (even a lengthy one) to fully appreciate everything this place has to offer. The architectural salvage is a big part, but don't miss the indoor building, which is a labyrinth of wonders from the last hundred years or so. You'll quickly see where the "Antics" in their name came from because you will find quirky, ironic, and just plain odd items wherever you look. And if you walk around smiling like an idiot, you'll fit right in. The prices are jaw-droppingly fair, I might add, which is an anomaly with such businesses. Let me start by saying I love this store and it's been one of my favorite vintage stores in Knox…read more But, after my experience today, I doubt I'll go in again, I mean - there's plenty of other vintage shops so I'll just go elsewhere. I just had to post a review because the experience was so unacceptable really. My boyfriend and I were shopping and as usual had a simple nice conversation upon entering the store with the sales person and then started to look. Then the comments started. The salesman kept making crude comments to my boyfriend and at first we kind of laughed them off. Then he started following us around the store, asking him to go to the "VIP" room with him or bringing him shorts to try on or off for him. Another time he came and asked him to try some vintage underwear on that were hanging in a booth. Finally, I said okay that's enough he's mine and tried to keep intrigue but let him know that this wasn't really our interest. He made some very lewd gestures and said even more inappropriate things and after that we quickly wrapped up our shopping and left. We were uncomfortable and frankly, we just aren't people who it's easy to make uncomfortable like that. It was icky. Not sure what was going on but it was really really bad. I don't know if he's the owner or just an employee but I know we won't be going back.

Located on the highway between Lenoir City and Loudon, Victoria's Antiques & Crafts is a hidden gem…read moreof collectibles, antiques, local crafts, and more. You will find antique oddities, rare glassware, old books, and other treasures with something for every collector. I have shopped here many times and could always find something of interest. I would recommend pulling up and backing off the highway to make getting back on the road easier. The hours are posted, but as I learned today are more suggestions than written and n stone.
