Bea's Cafe is an old fashioned diner. We went twice in a week!! We split a chicken salad club sandwich both times. It is excellent! The chicken salad was a bit skimpy the 2nd time. The fries are thicker, but good texture. The waitresses were very friendly and willing to converse. Keep it up! read more

My Review: I visited this restaurant for the first time on Sunday, October 5th. We were traveling from our state to New Hampshire to visit Loon Mountain since my relatives came from another country, and I wanted to take them on a little trip. We asked if they had takeout meals, but they said, "No, only dine-in." We said, "Okay, we'll wait." When I went to use the restroom, there was an older man working there -- tall, large build, with white hair. He looked at me and said sarcastically, "Of course, you want to use the restroom, and then you won't sit to eat." I was shocked by his rude attitude -- especially from someone his age and working in a restaurant. I didn't respond; I just went out and sat with my family. We ordered breakfast, and honestly, the food was very good. A middle-aged lady was serving our table and she was okay with some attitude!!. When we finished, my relative insisted on paying the bill. She didn't leave any tip -- her personal choice -- as she wasn't happy with how that man spoke to me or with the overall service. Before we left, I went to wash my hands. When I came out of the restroom, three employees loudly said, "Thank you for the tip!" in a mocking way. I asked, "Why are you saying that?" They replied, "Because you didn't leave a tip." I told them, "That's not appropriate," and it was not me who paid and I left $20 with the waitress before walking out. Outside, my family looked upset and told me that the same man who spoke to me earlier followed them to the car and said, "Thanks for the tip!" again. The staff's behavior was very unprofessional and disrespectful. I truly hope management looks into this and makes sure such behavior does not happen again. It's not acceptable for the reputation of this place or its owners. I'm willing to explain exactly what happened if anyone from management would like to contact me. I will also be sharing this review on all of the restaurant's pages so people are aware of how we were treated. read more

If I could rate this cafe less than zero I would. The staff is incredibly rude. It is not kid friendly at all. DO NOT bring kids here. Food is not appetizing. There are so many great spots in North Conway to choose from DO NOT waste your money here. read more

We stopped in for breakfast and had a wonderful experience. My boyfriend doesn't like eggs and doesn't particularly enjoy going out for breakfast because so much is centered around eggs. This place also serves lunch all day so this was a win for him as he would rather have lunch food for breakfast. Our food came out fast and was very tasty. Good portion sizes as well! My family stopped in on our way home from a trip to the mountains. The food was tasty, and the service was even better. My 12 year old announced on our way out that it was the best service he's ever had . Unfortunately I can't remember our server's name, but she was friendly and kind. Great place to grab a meal in a hurry, but probably not going to be a favorite. Positive - The service was amazing, both friendly and attentive. The ambiance had the small town diner vibe that seems to be working for them (although, they could certainly play to that a bit more and up their game). The value was okay for breakfast and the lunch menu seemed pretty standard as well. On the not so positive - The food was a bit meh. I had the Irish Benedict that just seemeed bland. The other thing that brought my opinion of them down a bit was the restrooms. The restrooms were clean but they awkwardly store the cleaning stuff against the wall in the corner....it's something I'd do at home maybe, but it's also the kind of thing I'd put away if guests were coming over. read more

Decent breakfast menu options. I ordered a hot chocolate this cold morning and it came hot with a tower of whipped cream with chocolate drizzled atop. I was happy, very happy. I opted for the French toast and bacon and the toast came with powdered sugar on top and the bacon was crisp, just the way I like it. We had our lunch here two days in a roll during our White Mountain visit. Service was good. The elder gentleman was very friendly and helpful. Food was totally beyond our expectation. Tasty and generous portion. The lobster roll was outstanding! We also loved their home fries and potato chips as well. Oh, also the clam chowder, which reminded me of some fancy restaurants in Boston and New York. The restaurant easily accommodated 3 separate checks and coordinated the plates to all come out at the same time. Servings were generous and the food was excellent! Extremely disappointed in this breakfast place, I've been coming here Since I was a kid while vacationing with my family. Went in with a party of 9, and left with a $183 bill. The waitress poured the 4 kids coffee and charged us for each cup after the kids said no thank you. If your that hard up for a tip and need to up charge, then you may need to find another job. They also added the tip onto our bill. Which isn't advertised anywhere. However that was the only plus since she only gave herself a 20% tip, well we usually tip 25-30 since we have a large party.. so maybe you shouldn't have been so greedy, and you would've made out better. As I tell my children greed kills. Glad to know that you treat tourist the way you do, you give the small local places a bad name that are appreciative of our business. The menu is great. We just had a 'meh' experience. First of all, no credit cards. I'm sorry, but there are millions upon millions of businesses, big and small, who sustain profitable business plans processing credit cards. So, I was ready to pay their $2.50 fee, but the ATM machine wasn't working after 5 minutes of repeated attempts. It's really lame to have to leave your family to walk to a bank in the middle of a meal. Food wise, ok not great. Fake maple syrup with the French toast. Lobster eggs bene was just ok. Totally tasteless hollandaise. And the coffee was nothing better than generic diner coffee. We came out of a weekend in a primitive lake cottage, and were ready for anything. Fast service but the food was horrible. Chicken Fried steak was over cooked, sausage gravy tasted canned and over salted, home fries were just deep fried potatoe chunks with no flavor. There was no notice that it is a cash only establishment. Had to pay a fee in order to get cash out to pay for substandard food. The fee was almost as much as the tip. I was so disappointed.
