We were going to Maine and wanted to grab some quick food. parked our car- and it was some theme-based Mcdonald's. the theme was skiing... they have made gondolas and chair lifts which take you to the top - so it was nice. food was as good as it can be in Mcdonald's. we used the restroom and it was good. What a frustrating disappointment. This location is a place to avoid at all costs - it is the McDonald's that standards forgot. At least IN RESTAURANT. Past drive through orders at breakfast have been mostly without issue. But in-restaurant anytime after noon, yikes. Any emotion you read in my review is primarily because I'm mad at myself for giving this place a third try. I knew better from my first two debacles, and yet I did it again. I ordered a 1/4 meal on the app in the parking lot. The order took a shockingly long time to finally arrive, and while I was waiting, three previous customers approached the counter to share that their order was wrong. In my order I had paid 49¢ for extra pickles, and had no extra pickles - just the standard 2 slices. Had I not paid $0.49, I would have let it go. But because I was frustrated, and because I paid for pickles, I asked for extra pickles. That too was a wait. The burger was cold and the fries warm. Keep in mind, after both of my previous two experiences, I brought the issues to the staff with no real resolution. I even tried to email their "feedback email" that is posted everywhere in their restaurant. However, the email address is invalid and my email was returned to me. If you order at the drive through, you are greeted by a friendly voice welcoming you and asking if you're using your mobile app. Don't be fooled like I was a few times. That's just a recording. Don't waste your time speaking your order because it will go nowhere. I recommended the staff tell someone how counter productive that is as I'm sure others think they are being asked a question. Well, you are asked. But the staff said they were told they can't change it. During this most recent visit while order after order was wrong, I saw someone who looked like the manager (if the uniform and relative age was any indication) simply walking around the kitchen on her cell phone. I commented to the staff and tried emailing them with comments, but nothing has worked. Maybe the owner will see this review, I have no idea. Place looks like an iconic old-styled mcdonalds. It has a ski resort kind of dining on the other half and on the other an old fashioned seating. The playplace is closed without any notice on when it is opening. Parking space is alot. Has a high chair. Bathroom needs cleaning maintenance and floor. They need more staff or more proactive staffs. read more

This was one of the worst fast food experience ive ever had!! I wouldn't eat here again even if someone payed me. As soon as I walked in I was punched in the face with a horrible smell that sent like dirty feet and cat piss. My food for two people took about 30 mins to get and the large fries were not even half full! My friend also waited about 40 minutes for their food and things were missing! Food was soggy and cold. Drive thru today as very busy and was on the move, the fries were cold and heavily salted, unable to eat. Reached for a napkin and did not find any. 2 very simple tasks but must be hard to fulfill. Forget the food - it's McDonalds and this isn't the 1950's-1980's and it isn't an international location that might do things the way we used to or offer something unusual on the menu. The food here is the same as the food at any other domestic McDonalds in the country. The sign out front promoted the opening of a new lobby, which apparently just opened yesterday. That said... Coolest McDonalds ever! The outside of the building was unique. Glass and artistic designs that made me stop and say "wow, that's unusual". When I entered the building my amazement continued - ski lift cars and aerial tram cars were some of the seating options inside. The deco was featured skiing, ice skating or ice dancing. The signs on the bathroom door even followed the motif. I was impressed - I have never seen a McDonalds with that layout and I thought they did well to incorporate the local culture of the skiing community. More McDonalds should take a page from this book and try to determine what makes their particular town or local community interesting and bring that into the restaurant. There are so many fast food burger joints and McDonald restaurants are closely associated with American road trips - what a better way to reflect the community than by showing it off in your local McDonalds? read more

The North Conway McDonald's is a great place to go wether it be grabbing a bite after skiing or taking a break from shopping. The inside is nicely and uniquely decorated to fit a ski theme. You can actually eat inside gondola's! Fits the nearby area with all the skiing places. Food is usually delivered in a fast manner. I've only had a few mistakes with my food and they've quickly fixed it. read more

Love the building, both inside and out. It doesn't look like your typical mickey Ds. The ski lodge look on the interior w nothing like I've ever sen from any McDonalds I have ever been to before. The customer service here was top notch. on one of my visits, a manager was handing me my soda cup before I had finished placing my order. Of course the fact that we repeated the order to each other three times and they still got t wrong didn't sit well, especially since we had already left before realizing it. for the most part, the interior was quite clean except for the self service drink area. It looked like no one had checked on it for hours. With the huge size of the parking lot, the should probably do something with the drive thru as it seems to be backed up to the street quite often. read more

The most positive aspect of this venue is the play area for the children. By the way (not the fault of McDonald's), many of today's purported parents fail miserably to control their children. I am not complaining about McDonald's food because the consumer knows what he or she is getting well in advance. It is not a surprise. However, I will comment with respect to the speed of service which is lacking. There never seems to be enough staff at the counter taking orders. Then it seems that the wait time is quite long. However, McDonald's has an application that facilitates speed. Place your order through the app and park in a designated parking space. The food comes to you. First, the service is really slow. I had to wait for more than 7 minutes for two happy meals and two cups of coffee. Then the sauce for the nuggets was missing. When I was standing at counter looking for the sauce, all staffs just ignored my presence either mind their own business. I had to call out for help for the sauce. This is a lovely building. The glass exterior is quite eye catching. I used the drive thru service last night. Unfortunately, the food was quite below par. I ordered the filet o fish and the breadcrumb coating tasted as if it had been overcooked or just left hanging around too long (probably the latter as it was around 10pm). Stopped at the drive thru while passing through. While in line, this absolutely grubby woman gets out of a pickup truck. She's wearing regular street clothes.
