This was my first visit, and I came in dealing with significant finger, hand, wrist, and elbow pain. Dr. Wiater was extremely attentive and took the time to truly listen to my concerns. He provided an injection, ordered a nerve study, and took me off work for a few weeks so I could properly heal. Once carpal tunnel syndrome was confirmed, he worked closely with both me and my employer to create a gradual return-to-work plan with appropriate restrictions. My pain and symptoms were never ignored. His PA, Claire, is also wonderful--compassionate, attentive, and great to work with. I am still healing from the steroid injection and will be starting physical therapy soon, but I feel confident in my care every step of the way. I highly recommend Dr. Wiater and his team. Excellent treatment in those days -- and it wasn't so hard to get through on the phone back then. Now, I am in pain and probably need surgical revisions. However -- But I cannot find a reasonable way to get through the phone system to make an appointment. I have called and waited hours on the phone, or tried to get a call back and missed the return call. I will have to get my GP to intervene for me, or I will have to go to their urgent care to get help. I probably need to get revisions on my hip replacements -- but it's like getting through to Oz to get any help, any answer on the phone.

Unisource was the facility where Dr. G did my surgery and it was great. Dr. Guettler was such an amazing Orthopedic Surgeon. He walked me through the process and was very good with explaining what I needed and what to expect with my recovery. He also was great when it came to my post care follow up. I notified the front desk that since I would not be present at his appointment that I'd like to speak to the new physical therapist to get to know her and ask how the session went. I never received a phone call. After speaking to the therapist, my response was "Well, we don't give out patient information." I reminded her that I'm the patient's parent and he's 5 months old. Speaking to the office manager led to me being told that we missed three appointments (we missed two) and that we would no longer be able to come back. Not happy.

I had changed phone numbers and updated the staff with this new information when I was scheduling a recheck appointment after my surgery. A month goes by and it is the day of my appointment. I drive all the way there only to find out they had cancelled my appointment three weeks prior because he was going to be out of town, yet they failed to properly notify me. They said they tried to call me, but got a message saying the line was no longer in service. After asking which number they tried calling it was apparent they never updated my records like I had thought. My immediate thought was "If they had cancelled the appointment three weeks ago and couldn't reach me by phone, why did they not send me a letter in the mail notifying me as well as asking me to update my contact info with them?" I asked this and the girl just looked at me dumbfounded and clueless. No apology what-so-ever for wasting my time, gas and most importantly my patience. Most recently I had another recheck scheduled (this time over two months in advance) and I missed the appointment. I do take some responsibility for this as I should have marked it in my calendar, but I am pretty irked that I didn't get a reminder phone call or even a call after I missed the appointment to make sure everything was okay. Any other doctors office I have ever gone to has always given a reminder call 24 or 48 hours prior. If not a live person then a recording which is just as good. When I called to reschedule I asked if they normally do reminder calls for appointments and the lady had this snotty tone to her voice and said no as if I had just asked her some kind of joke question. Like a "how dare you ask me" type thing. Okay then... - Bottom Line - Doctor = Awesome Staff = Poop

Was able to get in to see a specialist fairly quickly due to a last minute cancellation. Arrived at…read morethe appointment 30 minutes prior to the appointment and shocked to see the room packed and even more so when I looked at the board of doctors (behind the registration counter) that provided a wait time for a few of the doctors. Had to wait at least an hour and about 15 minutes before meeting with the specialist. Of course the actual appointment with the doctor took less than 5 minutes. The follow up visit wasn't that long of a wait in the waiting room but waited about 45 minutes once in the back room and again, only a couple minutes with the doctor. Parking can get pretty tough to get when it is busy so I've parked in the lot where Basha is located (next door).

So, as you can see, I felt a dire need for someone to help me. Dr. K was one of the kindest, professionals I have ever met. He really listened and together we agreed on a surgical plan. His office coordinated with me to get all the necessary prior tests completed. His staff is really on top of their game everyday. Every question was answered in a timely fashion. So I felt confident in the process and choice I made. The surgery day came and it did take longer than expected. But the care was never changed, he worked hard on my back to complete a fusion of the 4-5 area. The recovery as he had stated takes some time and a will to get better. It has now been six months and yes I am glad to have had the procedure. I still have a ways to go to reach a one year mark. I am confident I will continue to improve. If you are nervous, worried or in pain, seek a consultation to get a definitive answer to what is happening.
