June 30, 2023 - Friday…read more Review #436 I was referred by My family physician Dr. Kavanaugh to have several Ex-Rays completed at this Henry Ford Medical Center on 4-19-2023. This Henry Ford Medical Center offers many health services, procedures and testing based on providers and appointments available. The environment was comforting and welcoming when I saw the receptionist to check in. After waiting 5 minutes in lobby I was then escorted to Imaging Department and known as Ex-Ray. I've attached Photos of the Imaging areas and how my appointment went about which was at 4pm. The technician Jeff was kind and explained the steps and time frame for the many ex-rays that my doctor requested. He was knowledgeable too when it came to positioning my hands and fingers correctly on the glass for the proper Ex-rays. No paper referral was needed since she sent the forms by email to this department at my convenience too. This facility is clean and offers masks after entering the automatic doors for germ protection of for those who have not been vaccinated for COVID. Request an appointment with any of the providers listed on the sign upon entering. A Patient can reserve a spot in line as well for Walk-In Lab Services. Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM Thursday and Friday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Closed Saturday and Sunday Address 14500 Hall Rd. Sterling Heights, MI. 48313 Phone: (586) 247-2700 So my total time walking in, waiting my turn to when I was finished with my Ex-Rays was a satisfactory and pleasant 30 minutes. The doctor seems super knowledgeable and very thorough going through my wife's medical records going years back to help in his diagnosis. Special shout out to Dr Josh Newsom and Dr Brian McParland. Both went above and beyond in our care. I don't recall the names of the nurses and other staff but they were amazing as well. I recently had a poor experience with another Corewell location and was reluctant to go to this location but I'm glad I did go. I can not speak highly enough about the care we received and the knowledge and care of the staff. From checking in to making my wife had enough blankets to asking me I need anything to make me more comfortable the staff really blew us away. Ive never experienced care like this any hospital or ER setting.

While I don't have any issues with him, this review is about the surgical center staff and location. Pre-op interactions over the phone were always positive. I called a couple times with questions and was always able to speak with someone instead of waiting for a call back. The people I spoke with were always very pleasant to speak with and never sounded like it was a hassle to have questions (like sometimes happen elsewhere). The 45 wait in the lobby/waiting room to be called back was a little long for my taste, but that is the only less than stellar part of my visit. The person at check-in was very nice, very fast and helped with my insurance questions. It was a little chilly, but medical places often are. They had a variety of seating arrangements, including sections of chairs, love seats and even a couple booths. At first we thought that was a little strange, but then realized it's a genius idea for people who may have brought a laptop or other things for a table surface. Once I was called back, everything went very smoothly. The nurse working with me in the room was awesome, the anesthesiologist was very nice and informative, the doctor came in and spoke with me, as well as the nurse who would be with me in the OR. They were very efficient, quick but never rushed, and informed me of everything that was going on throughout my visit. Wonderfully nice staff. Since my procedure was today I have yet to have the post-op experience, but I have no reason to think I will have any complaints. I will update if needed, but I highly doubt it will be. The overall complex was very nice, looked to be reasonably new. Very clean and convenient. The patient rooms were comfortable, with variable lighting, LCD TV, a small wardrobe for my clothes and a couple of chairs for the person with the patient. I mentioned the booths already and the front area also has a couple of larger TVs for those waiting. This was my first experience with a stand alone surgical facility and so far I have been very happy with my experience. I highly recommend this facility. Great job! Tip: If you are going here, it is the front suite in the complex, facing Rochester Rd. Depending on the time of day (lighting) it can be hard to see the sign right away.

She would not let me stay with my mom because "there are two surgeons scheduled and it will be busy". Please note that they have booths in the waiting area...does anyone sit with strangers in a booth? I've been sitting outside, my dad is being prepped and there's one other patient here. There is no policy listed anywhere about only having one person with you; did we go back in time and it's 2020 again? The surgeons are great and the facility is clean but there have got to be nicer, friendly support staff they can hire.

I have received good care here. I appreciate the fact that if you are sick, many times you can get another appointment with another doctor.
