Never have I been to a salon as UNPROFESSIONAL as this one. My mom and I went in for a small service, and let me start with saying that our stylists were AMAZING! Ilia and Dakota held themselves with grace, wore professional clothing, and had a kind attitude. Sadly, I cannot say the same for the two stylists that were stationed to the side of us, and the one stationed diagonally. Let's start with the two girls to the side of us who seem to think they are still at the high school lunch table gossiping away. News flash girls, you're not 16 anymore, it's time to act a bit more professional in the workplace. I think about 15 minutes into their obnoxiously loud conversation I stopped keeping track of how many f-bombs were being thrown around. That's already unprofessional as is, but let's not forget the content of these conversations. With how loud they were talking the whole salon now knows about stylist A's (not sure of her name) boy problems (I'll spare y'all on the details) and underage drinking. Now look, I get it, what 20-year-old doesn't drink here and there? Do what you want, but don't talk about it in a public, professional, and educational space. We also got to hear the lovely story of Stylist B's (I actually do know this one's name) "horrible" client experience. Now when hearing the story, I understand the frustration, but you do not openly criticize a former client within earshot of others. While I would probably never have gotten my hair done by you in the first place, Becca, if you keep this behavior up, you're going to keep losing clients because no one wants to get a service done already walking in scared that they're going to be talked about when they leave. I truly hope something is done about the poor and immature attitudes in this establishment. I'm shocked that behavior like that is allowed in a professional workplace and educational environment. I am also shocked about the way that these students present themselves at this salon. Imagine sitting down minding your business, and across from you is a woman with a crop top on, stomach out, rubbing up and down her belly. For you, this is an imaginative scenario, but for me, it was none other than stylist C sitting diagonally from me. Once again, you are working and studying in a PROFESSIONAL environment. You are not bed rotting and doomscrolling on TikTok. Overall, I was extremely dissatisfied with the lack of quality people at this salon. It's not only the students but professors too; the TRUE professionals are also acting like this. As my mom went up to pay for her services, the educator at the desk did not once look up or communicate with her but was rather talking/gossiping to the other educator about her personal life. She did not once take a beat to stop and ask my mom how our service was. Actually, the only time she did speak to us was when I personally had to interrupt their conversation to tell them briefly about the unprofessionalism going on in their salon. So please do better. Teach your students to be kind, communicate graciously, and present themselves well because it will get you far in life. Ilia and Dakota clearly understand this, and others would benefit from following their example. I truly hope this feedback is taken seriously and leads to positive change.

However, there was another conversation we had where he lost his patience with me, and I felt he was very verbally abusive and extremely manipulative. I've also find this concerning because I know someone who was a student of his who has the same type of manipulating and picking and choosing who he's going to respect and disrespect as a film Director, so I think it's important to recognize that Reno may or may not be teaching some verbally abusive behavior. In my experience, he's too much of a hothead, he was trying to psychoanalyze me to hurt my feelings and I felt like if I worked with him it would be an experience where he would give me a lot of toxicity. I'm happy that he ended up refusing to let me take one of his classes that I was excited to take, because easily I would've avoided a very bad and abusive experience. Please stop picking and choosing who you're going to respect and disrespect.
