The salon was clean. My hairdresser trimmed up my A-style, then took a blow dryer to it. The Avalon stylist followed pre-existing lines, and trimmed it up a bit for me. This was as requested. She did a good job. Makeup came next. I generally wear a little makeup, mascara, little blush, very light lipstick. But I needed foundation for the photos. I left feeling a little concerned about how the photos would turn out, as the foundation that was used seemed to enhance and deepen fine lines around my eyes and lips. I researched online to see how this is avoided and learned that a primer that seals lines and closes pores should have been applied. Would I go back to Avalon? Absolutely. But I would request the primer.

If they claim that I haven't been here before I will post pictures of my appointment reminders, emails, etc... they basically told me with asymmetrical lips with a ball sac that "it is as good as it gets" insinuating that there was no solution of the problem. I went to a different clinic and they were able to fix it right away. If you see this I want my money back. It was so painful as they knew they f-Ed my lips and tried to "massage" it with more strength I've ever seen out of a 50-60 year old woman. That basically pushed all the filler out of my lips into some terrible puffy migration. They also either could not decipher who I was? And kept talking about stuff they did to my lips that were not done? So I don't know if they are just writing random stuff in the patient records or what. I wouldn't come here to get a hair cut. Let alone let them touch anywhere on your face or anything close to being considered "aesthetic medicine." I stopped in Trendz on an impulse, because I was about to cut them myself, and that never goes well. They took me as a walk-in, but I wasn't made to feel like I was putting them out. I waited less than five minutes. Gloria at Trendz fit me in, sat me down, listened to my phobias, and cut my bangs dry, which is brilliant because my cow lick only behaves when wet. She kept taking tiny amounts off and checking with me, and finally lightly feathered them to perfection. Thank you, Gloria. I'll be back. Because I don't look like a bee. And you didn't give me bitch bangs either. I look good!

I've waited almost an hour past my appointment time to get in--and, ironically, once I was accidentally 8 minutes late and they said they started the next appointment because they were tired of waiting for me. I didn't even think to ask why someone was there an hour before their appointment and could take mine, which afterward, upon reflection, sounded pretty strange... I had the appointment as 1:30pm in my phone and they had it as 1:15pm. But because they don't confirm appointments, there was no way to know that. Sabin's solution instead was to berate me and to tell me, in a tone like she was chastising her daughter, to reschedule (I'd waited two months for the appointment) or to come back at 4pm--and I had to press her to keep some sort of appointment. In the end, I decided that Sabin's consistently aggressive, unforgiving, critical, and argumentative stance made the business undeserving of my patronage. There has only been one time, actually, that there hasn't been either a long wait, a mix-up, or unprofessional and rude welcome from her. But if you're familiar with KF standards, this probably doesn't surprise you at all... ;) Also, the music is always religious so I found the music comment in another review kind of strange.
