My young children purchased a gift card for me at the beginning of April for my birthday, and just a few weeks later, the business was sold with no notice to customers. When I tried to use the gift cards, I was told they would not be honored, with no exceptions and no grace period. While I understand that ownership changes happen, it's incredibly frustrating that a business could purchase an existing business, and would refuse to stand behind purchases made just weeks prior. There was no communication, no transition period, and no effort to make things right for customers who supported the business in good faith. The new owners stated that the other Milano locations would honor the gift cards - that is not true. All are independently owned. At a minimum, a short grace period would have shown respect for loyal and LOCAL customers. Instead, this experience left me feeling taken advantage of and unlikely to return.

I was already placing this place on my personao banner list because the last visit, my shellac nail chipped after day 4 getting a fill. Conveniently, this salon has a nice sigh by the register stating they will fix a nail up to 2 days after service. Do the math - yep, they won't fix the nail after day 2. This is why I dont tip the nail salon anymore until I see the work actually lasts. On my last trip, I didn't, and Im so glad of that because this week, a nail cracked. I tried Thursday night to get it fixed, but two nail shops were busy. Decided to wait until after I get some personal business done on Friday. After looking at some Yelp reviews, I made my way to the shop to get a fill and pedicure to only be shown fungus under my nail. I was so upset. I have been going to this nail salon for over a year, and I've never had this issue. Now I have to treat the fungus and cut my nails down because of it. Please go somewhere else. This place is not only high but clearly has shody work.
