I watched them berate employees from a nearby business who were attempting to help them. After speaking with a worker afterward, I learned that the employees had been working on their request but apparently it wasn't happening fast enough to satisfy them. What was most upsetting was witnessing one of them direct her anger toward a young autistic child. There is simply no excuse for an adult to speak harshly to a child, especially one with special needs. Whether someone is having a bad day or not, how they treat others matters. The behavior I witnessed showed a complete lack of patience, compassion, and basic human decency. Based on that experience alone, I would never consider supporting this business. Anyone thinking about becoming a customer should ask themselves whether they want to support people who treat workers and vulnerable children this way. What I witnessed today left a lasting impression, and unfortunately, it was not a positive one.

As she proceeded with her scissors, she always made sure it was the length and style that I wanted before making any cuts and even suggested wispy bangs in place of my usual side bangs. She seriously asked me the same question about where I lived 3 times. I explained that I just wanted my roots done and to maintain the caramel highlights that I already had. I did not want any platinum highlights in my hair. Well, all she used in my hair was bleach - so I ended up with a yellow-white skunk stripe down the back of my head. My sides were over-processed for which she then used a toner that turned them grey. Bonus - I had absolutely NO highlights on the top of my head??? Then for my hair cut, she just brushed it out and trimmed the edges. Not one section was done and I have A LOT of hair. Finally, she started to blow dry my naturally curly hair. When she was done blow drying it, she then told me that was it and that she did not have a flat iron?!?! Uhmmm WHAT? It was then that I got up and moved closer to the mirror and started looking at my hair and what she did to it - yes I then freaked out - wouldn't you? Hailey then told me, "It wasn't that bad" and that I should calm down. Side note: Hailey is the ONLY stylist at this location and there were no other clients coming or going the entire time I was in the chair and there was not a client waiting when she was "done". I then demanded to speak with the salon owner - who to this day has NOT reached out to me at all. Poor form James POOR FORM. I then called the Highlands location and the receptionist was able to make things happen behind the scenes. I was able to get my color and haircut fixed on Sunday by the AMAZING stylist and savior Shay. Thank God for Shay, she took her time and fixed the hot mess I came in with. I am a retired hairdresser with 20+ yrs experience - I know what I am talking about. Yes, once all the foils were in my hair I had a stomach-dropping terrible feeling and started looking at this location's reviews - just wish I did more digging before I sat in Hailey's chair!
