I'm extremely picky when it comes to getting my makeup done but every time I've gotten my makeup done by Arooj, I'm completely satisfied. First time I met her was back in 2015 to get my hair and makeup done for my cousin's birthday party. I showed Arooj a picture of a purple cut crease and she copied it exactly. She also did an updo and applied my passa/jhoomar and it stayed fixed all night long. Recently, I did a photo shoot with Arooj and she definitely keeps improving. Not only does she carry all sorts of foundations from Estée Lauder to Mac, she's Dress Your Face Certified! I found Arooj at a bridal show and was super excited that she had an upbeat personality and wasn't pushy in any way; she spent a lot of time answering all my questions. Her book of her prior work was really pretty as well. I booked a trial through her for my engagement photos. Before my engagement photos, I followed her on social media and fell in love with her work on her clients. The day of, she made me feel so comfortable and really took her time to make me feel beautiful. I'm almost two hours away and she arrived early to set up. I told her what I wanted and showed her "inspo" photos as well. She matched the photos with my features and skin tone. I'm a huge fan of thick eye liner and people in the past have always hesitated to do thick eye liner. Arooj didn't hesitate and made it as thick as I wanted it to be. I loved my eyes! Arooj made me feel magical for my wedding day and pre functions ! She also gave me a trial which I doubled for my engagement shoot. My engagement shoot look was very soft and subtle so it was difficult to gage how my make up would be for my wedding day. One thing I knew was that she nailed my winged eyeliner! Arooj is punctual she was always on time and sometimes even early (and willing to stay late if needed) so she can set up her fabulous assortment of makeup! We were not happy the way our wedding pictures turned out and wanted to schedule another photoshoot. She accommodated me when our post photoshoot cancelled and rescheduled us for another day. She is a true professional. She really puts hard work into what she does. She did my hair and makeup better than the wedding day (I hired another professional for the wedding day) . I had no trials with Arooj and showed her a hairstyle from Pinterest which she was able to do on the day of photo shoot in no time.
