They didn't take my name or number. Showed up today about 10 minutes before my appointment and the salon was empty. There was one employee sitting in a chair in the entire salon and she asked if she could help me and I told her I had an appointment. She told me she had to call "her". They had a conversation in Spanish and then she brings the phone over and shows me a message translated in English saying she wasn't feeling well and if I could come back tomorrow at the same time. Sorry 3 strikes and you are out!! Very disappointed especially after taking time off of work to do this. Not professional at all.

Other than that, I consistently paid premium prices and trusted this salon (specifically Eleanor). Last month, I brought my daughter in for a keratin treatment. Both Eleanor & the owner clearly explained that it was not 100% guaranteed to get her hair to be straight and that it's a process that requires maintenance. I understood the risk & agreed to proceed. Eleanor spent about 2 hours on my daughter's hair and the cost was $200 + tip which I willingly paid. After one wash, her hair returned completely to its original frizzy state. I took photos & called to speak with Eleanor--not to ask for a refund, but simply to understand what happened and discuss a possible solution. Instead, I was met with unpleasantness, unprofessional attitude & defensiveness. Eleanor said, "I spent 2 hours on my feet doing your daughter's hair & we told you it's not guaranteed." I calmly repeated that I wasn't asking for my money back--just an explanation or guidance. I never called back again to discuss the keratin treatment because I felt she was so defensive and they will not offer me any other solution. A week later, when I called to book my usual root color appointment, I was told--after checking Eleanor's availability--that I was no longer welcome at the salon. After 7 years of loyalty and spending a significant amount of money, this is how I was treated for simply asking a question. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect for long-term clients is extremely disappointing. I do not recommend this hair salon to anyone. Their customer service and sense of loyalty to long-term clients are far below what you would expect from a professional business.

My mom was looking to do a perm and it seems like many salons aren't doing it anymore. I called to check and the owner was very kind and accommodating. Although this was our first time here and I didnt have my hair done, I was happy to see she definitely knew what she was doing and my mom was very happy with the results. There were 2 other customers, and they were happy with their hair to say the least. Also, the salon is nice and clean, 2 important things for us. The shop is trendy. Soft peach colored walls. Silver and black finishings and pine colored wood floors and counters. At the time of my visit there were two stylists at work but I saw other stations. Shall we begin? The lady that shampooed my hair has magic fingers! She's the hair RN to hair doctor Rachelle (better know as Ray who I'll get to soon). My scalp was massaged within inches of me falling into a deep slumber. After all this massaging she asked if that was sufficient or if I wanted more? Wow! More please. Dreamland...... After she was finished (hair doctor) Ray took over. Ray detangled my hair and I had to take a peek in the mirror to see if that was really what she was doing because never a tug did I feel. Gentle hands. She then blow dried and styled. When she was finished she wrapped my hair and it was smooth and silky ensuring that when I let it down I'll have that perfect Rapunzel flow. There was quiet chatter between clients and staff and the regulars (including this newbie) we all looked really relaxed. My only discomfort was the music could have been a little softer especially as their telly was running too. And Ray only put it on after I sat down so I'm thinking she sized me up...just wrongfully. Lol. Maybe they can decide on telly or radio and go with that ONE unless a client requests other. I'm sure they can and do attend to all types of hair but on my visit there was only an African American clientele, and mostly us naturals, 3s and 4Bs and Cs hair type. I found this salon on Yelp and it was convenient to get to. I had natural hair and I was coming here cause I didn't know how to wash it without getting frustrated. My stylist did a really good job in regards to washing and detangling, but being natural some things I didn't agree with but I kept going back. So I started getting twist outs and she did a really good job with that as well. It was when I started to want different styles I notice my styles never looked like the picture I showed. My hair was cute but just not what I wanted. The other ladies who work in the shop are cool and funny and all down to earth. The facility is very clean and the environment is very welcoming.
