I blame myself for getting sucked into it. If you don't have money to spend she treats you like garbage. How is she still in business?? I had to go somewhere else and pay to have all the filler taken out. The other place told me the filler was "not placed right." One time I heard her arguing with her staff, it doesn't get any more unprofessional than that. She listed herself as a celebrity injector, I'm curious what celebrities she has injected. I mean just look at her social media- would you want that injecting your face. I can go on and on about this place and Jen but I wont, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Save yourself the trouble of going there.

When I arrived, I explained that I've had laser treatments and barely have any hair left -- for example, just a few strands on my underarms. Despite that, she treated it like a full session and still charged me the full price, even though there was very little to remove. The experience itself was extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional. She asked me to undress right in front of her while she just stood and watched, offering no robe or towel for privacy or comfort. She also did not wear gloves, even for intimate areas, which is completely unhygienic and unacceptable. The room conditions were also unsanitary -- she was double-dipping the wax stick into the pot and using a sticky wax instead of hard wax, which made the process more painful than it needed to be. Throughout the session, she kept asking personal questions, adding to the discomfort. When it came time to pay, she suddenly raised the price to $190, claiming the Brazilian wasn't included -- even though I had confirmed it beforehand. She only offered a $10 first-time customer discount, which felt unfair given the misinformation and poor service. Overall, this was one of the most uncomfortable, unprofessional, and unhygienic salon experiences I've ever had. I do not recommend this place at all.

Lotus is clean and there are plastic wall partitions between seats; masks are required and there is hand sanitizer at the entrance. With regards to COVID, the only critique I really have is that the string used for threading is still held between the employees' lips. I accompanied my friend to another salon, and at this other salon, the employees wore masks that allowed them to loop the string through the mask itself, so that there's no contact between their lips and the string that's touching your face. That would feel safer and more sanitary. I've gotten my eyebrows threaded farther out on LI, and paid probably 3x (if not more) the price than at Lotus! I guess since there was no competition in the immediate vicinity, they took advantage and really hiked up their prices. Between LI and NYC, Hillside Avenue on LI is probably the best place to get threading done because the prices cannot be beat!
