I came in for a Brazilian and i can honestly say after trying sugaring with saba it was a breeze, so much more tolerable than getting waxed. She was very professional and nice even after i made a scheduling error and came in at the wrong time but still was willing to accommodate me in her busy schedule. Location: Not very convenient and I don't think they have parking other than by the road. I took the subway to Lawrence station and walked about 10-15 mins to get to the place. My other option was to take a bus but I didn't want to wait. Wait time: You can book an appointment on their website and they'll send you a SMS confirming the appointment. When I went, there was no line up. I had an appointment and I waited 2 minutes (because the lady had to finish threading a client). Service: 2.5/5 There was as little service as humanly possible. When I walked in, the receptionist was on the phone and she told me to fill out a clipboard with my info. She didn't exactly tell me, she gave me a clipboard. After this, I was told to change from my shoes to their slippers. Note: these slippers didn't look clean. It looked like it hasn't been cleaned for days. It felt kind of nasty wearing their slippers. While being threaded, the lady went through the whole area but it felt rushed. After the redness went away and I waited two days, I noticed hair that wasn't threaded off. I wish they were more thorough. On the plus side, the receptionist and threading lady weren't deliberately rude but felt very distant. You know how some people make you feel warm and welcomed. Well I didn't feel welcomed there. Threading job: 2.5/5 It felt like she took a lot of hair off my upper lip but she missed some. The amount of hair she missed were not an area but here and there. So I felt like the threading job a bit sloppy. Cleanliness: 1/5 When I walked into the place, I smelled BO (but I do have a good sense of smell). When the lady started threading me, she didn't sanitize her hands. Also, before she started threading me, another lady handed her money. So imagine for a second-the germs in money, threading lady touches money, she doesn't clean her hands after and she starts threading you. Just think how unsanitary that is. The reason I didn't give cleanliness 0/5 is because the place looked clean (i.e. no clutter). That's why I give them 1/5. Prices: Very reasonable. Please see pic for prices. Shanna performed my wax; she brought me downstairs to one of the rooms and advised me to get ready. She gave me plenty of time to get comfortable. The room had a tv playing an old Friends episode, and friendly reminders about what to do post-service. I particularly liked the sign on the ceiling that reminded you that the pain is worth it. Haha. I liked that they used a combination of waxes. Shanna performed the entire service in 20 minutes (there's even a clock on the wall). She moved quickly and was very professional. The place has 3-4 seats for threading and an inside space for waxing (not sure how big that space is) There was an Asian lady doing threading and later there was another Indian lady who came and helped out with the threading. I was here for the cheap prices and fast service, there is one lady who is extremely lovely but today she was not there. I had the inner portion of my eyebrow CHOPPED OFF, on top of that they made me PAY for the work that the esthetician did. It wasn't like a small mistake as I'm not too picky, but the entire inner portion of my eyebrow was missing and uneven. She wanted to even it out, but there was no way she was going to chopp off my other eyebrow. I came out crying as I was embarassed by how I looked. The manager did not do anything except made me pay for the poor service that was given. I had to FILL in my own eyebrows after the appointment as I did not want to go home looking like an alien. Please management ensure your estheticians are well trained. You definitley lost an extremely loyal customer for the past four years.
