I liked what I saw, and decided to schedule with him. Each stylist works their own hours, so you have to contact each stylist directly, and Jonathan was quick to respond and get me in. At the appointment, I enjoyed the playful banter between stylists, and a friendly atmosphere all around. Jonathan boasted about how wonderful all the other stylists are there. Meanwhile, he was gracefully applying a bleached balayage to my hair. He moved quickly, and seemingly effortlessly. After washing and toning, he gave me a clean cut lob. I'll be honest, I didn't want to cut off so much of my length, but I did need it...and I'm loving it! He did exactly what I requested, and perfected it! The price was VERY AFFORDABLE!!!! What disappointed me most was being asked to pay through a link on the stylist's personal phone, having photos taken of me without my consent, and, after the service didn't match what I booked, the stylist attempted to adjust the price and implied it was my responsibility to pay the additional charges. Despite trying multiple times to confirm that my requested style was available, the stylist began service and only then informed me it wasn't. When I raised these issues, I didn't feel they were handled fairly or professionally. Overall, I left unhappy and would not return.

So instead of her servicing me she had her other stylist wash my hair after I had Already been sitting for 30 plus minutes, I was later placed under the dryer for God knows how long so her other stylist could finish their own clients. It is not so much the stylist I am upset with because they had other bookings and I'm not their responsibility. The final nail in the coffin for me was being asked if I wanted to "wait a little longer" and "I seem like I'm in a rush" When I replied No,I've been here since 1045 Monique's response was "Well it is the Saturday rush" I'm not sure what the Saturday rush has to do with my time being wasted, your stylist finishing your job, or the mismanagement of clients but I can certainly tell you "Saturday rush" does not mean I make an appointment for 1045 and not leave until 1:24 PM. A special thank you to CeCe for taking care of me you're professionalism and skills did not go unnoticed. It is very clear that you are the one holding the shop together. I will Always support black businesses but mismanagement of time will always be the downfall sadly. This timeline was egregious for a simple silk press.
