When I joined in September I was told I will be seeing Dr. Heather Bronaugh every 6-8 weeks to go over my progress and to expect an average loss of 1pound/week. Neither of these were met, and I kept being told to wait longer with the dosage increase. Every week I felt like I was fighting them. Fast forward to today I've been with them for 16 weeks with a total weight loss of 9 pounds AND only saw Dr. Bronaugh ONE time yesterday, that is not including the initial visit back in September. Yesterday was the last draw for me and after seeing Dr. Bronaugh I have cancelled my membership and am excited to move forward with someone who actually cares about their patients. For me, much farther than Lacombe, LA…read more Dr. Christel Malinski came as a recommendation from a friend I made not long after moving to Louisiana in July 2023. I had undergone lots of beauty work in other states: Brazilian blowouts, tummy tuck, lots of Botox, Juvéderm...but nothing since moving here. Lately I felt the need to do something for myself, so I pulled out the number I was given and called. I was able to get an appointment in a timeslot that worked for me. New patient paperwork was handled via email. When I arrived early after my quick and sunny drive, I let them know I was in the area and went to lunch. (Pop's Cafe - see review) When I returned, I was called back to the procedure room on time. A brief conversation with her assistant, some pictures taken, releases signed and the numbing gel was applied. The Dr arrived shortly thereafter, inquiring about the numbing and we discussed what she saw as my issues, what outcome I was wanting, what was realistic, the cost for the products she would use, their length of effectiveness and what I could expect as it related to my prior issues with lip products. I opted for the Restylane Refyne and Kysse as recommended. I was handed a squeeze ball and a vibrating wand as distractions for the procedure. All in all, the pain was definitely bearable, thanks to the applied gel, the numbing in the injectibles and the distraction tools. There were brief breaks as the doctor switched sides; she reminded me to breathe and let me know she understood and she would not take longer than necessary. After observing my facial muscles during the procedure, Dr Malinski recommended some Dysport, in my chin & upper lip muscles to enhance the desired outcome. I could do it then, or at a later time, and she quoted a price. I opted to get it done right then. A few more small pricks later I was finished. Arnica lotion and a medicated foundation was lightly applied to the area to help disguise the work, a 2-wk follow up was made, post-surgery instructions given, payment through CareCredit accomplished and I was on my way in just over an hour from my appointment time. I was also encouraged to sign up for the manufacturer's reward program, which I did and received a small manufacturer's credit to apply to the day's bill. (Not a doctor managed program; Galderma managed.) Anyway, posting before and day of pictures, and I promise 2-wk post pictures after my visit.

She referred me to another physician who was able to remove all of them (which included a microscopic technique that all the cancer was removed) leaving zero scar for 2 of them. The person who gives the facials is very good at what she does. They never push their products but they do have good products.

When I arrived it definitely seemed like this was more of a cosmetic services office rather than a traditional dermatologist practice as evidenced by the advertisements placed around the waiting room and by the other clients who were there getting those services. I was brought to the exam room, told them again why I was there, and the male doctor tells me "oh we're not going to do all that there isn't enough time". This is after I booked this specific exam and told them to set aside enough time. I explained to the doctor again why I booked the appointment and he told me I'd have to rebook again for another appointment. I was in the exam room for 90 seconds and they did nothing. He seemed annoyed as if I was wasting his time. If you're looking for a nice place to get cosmetic work I guess this is the place. If you're dealing with legitimate dermatological concerns and need serious care I'd definitely look elsewhere.
