I don't often leave reviews but I had such a good experience at Northshore Dermatology that I felt compelled to share. First of all, the staff was and is always welcoming and helpful. The wait time is constantly minimal which is unusual in a doctor's office. Dr Tabor not only really knows his stuff but he's kind, compassionate and listens to my concerns. I would highly recommend Northshore Dermatology to anyone. read more

Dr. Tabor is kind, friendly, and very knowledgeable! I have been going to him for many years and he never disappoints me. I never have to wait. He is thorough, and yet quick to diagnose and solve any issues I have. I no longer live on the Northshore, but still make the effort to see him because he is by far the best! read more

We saw Dr Tabor about some scary looking moles and some acne issues with my kids. He was great with the moles and had biopsies done on all tissue he removed. For the acne issues his prescribed medicines are costly, but we tried Proactive first and it was not doing the job so we came to Northshore. When we took the stuff he prescribed it worked quickly. One son has oily and the other dry skin and he sorted them both out. In response to the other reviews my wife and I found him engaging and friendly, but I was raised in Yankee country. read more

I called and asked to see the dermatologist and was scheduled an appointment. Upon arriving I was told they scheduled me with a Nurse Practitioner. I don't mind seeing an NP for certain things, but If I am paying for a specialist co-pay, I would like to see the specialist. Also, if you schedule me to see an NP, I felt I should've been told over the phone. I was never told that I would not be seeing a broad certified dermatologist. I don't believe he was even there. The NP the burned off a spot of my leg, that I was asking about without even bothering to take a second to decide if it needed a biopsy. The office felt dirty, and after seeing how dirty it was, I don't believe I would have even given consent for a biopsy. I would suggest seeing a dermatologist in an office over by Lakeview. read more

I feel the last couple of times I have been here the Doctor did not spend anytime with me and barely glanced at my problem. He did not even sit down and talk to me on either occasion. Then prescribed $800 itch cream for a rash and $500 cream for another skin condition without even consulting on cost or cheaper alternatives. read more

Tabor needs to work on how he treats his patients. His manner is very cold and makes one feel he is only in it for the money. He needs to learn how to be friendly! I am not impressed with his botox injections either. I had several quarter-size bruises on my face and it was difficult to lift my eyebrows rather than easy. He requires that his practicioners hard sell on treatments he offers...I feel badly for them. Before he ever sees a patient, they come to the exam room for 20 minutes telling you all about treatments and procedures. He also decided to burn off a broken blood vessel on my face without telling me' exactly what he was doing. I said "wait, what do you mean you are going to take care of it?" When I pressed him for more info, he repeated himself and assured me it would be fine. What he used was a freezing type of procedure that is used for age spots. It was very painfull and I told him that i should have hit him for doing it. AND, the broken blood vessel is still there! Needless to say, I won't be returning. read more

I have no complaints about this place! Great job! When I called for an appointment the girl I spoke with on the phone was very attentive to my needs and got me in to see a provider as soon as possible. Upon arriving, the front desk staff was very welcoming and kind, I had filled out my paperwork prior to my visit which was VERY convenient. Within not even 10 minutes of walking in the door I was already in a room speaking with a medical assistant about my concerns. Dr. Tabor came in and took his time with answering all of my questions (I had a lot), I'm a nervous nelly but Dr. Tabor definitely helped calm my nerves. His bedside manner is wonderful. The ladies that helped me check out were also really sweet and quick! Overall I give Northshore Dermatology 5 stars. Clean office, great staff, very informational and patient! I will be making an appointment soon for my hubby! I know he'll feel comfortable there. Thanks again! read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Tabors for over 20 years and he's treated me for various skin conditions during that time. I now look to him to also help me "freshen" my appearance and I always leave his office feeling good about myself! Patients are greeted by smiling faces that welcome them to the office. Wait time is always minimal before one of Dr. Tabor's highly trained assistants brings you to an exam room to ready you for your visit. both Dr. Tabor and his staff ask you questions to better serve you and only want the best outcome for you. Best place I have been to in the north shore. I am not from around the area so it has been difficult for me to find a place that treated me with kindness, address all my needs and whose work was awesome. Happy to say, I found it!
