For years my large bedroom set had four cabinet doors that were rendered difficult to use as the treads on the handles were stripped. I saw the ad for this service and was a bit hesitant to send them cross country to North Carolina, but researched and saw nothing but positive comments. I mailed my 4 handles to Beaver Metal Works and received them back within a week, good as new, equipped with the new bolts to fit the reconfigured treads. A very expensive bedroom set I have had since 1990 looks complete again. I am very happy to have found someone honest and willing to do the small jobs. I bought a rather expensive Amish made Oak bedroom suite, and we somehow broke one of the chester drawers handles on the way home. I could not find one like it anywhere. I found Beaver Metal Works while looking up the proper way to fix the handle. At first I was skeptical, and thought it might be a scam. However, after trying the phone number, and getting a prompt response to my email asking if they could fix the handle, I sent the handle to them. They were prompt in letting me know when they received the handle, and when they expected me to receive it back. I bought a dresser off of Craiglist that was a sturdy old piece with great lines but one of the drawers had a ring pull that had broken off. The previous owners had kept the broken pull when it broke but did not know how to fix it. I searched locally for a place that might be able to fix it but no dice. I searched online and aside from Bob's website at Beaver Metal Works, the majority of results were only places that wanted me to buy all new pulls for my 9 drawers that weren't anywhere as cool looking as the ones the dresser came with. I was skeptical but was my only option mailing my drawer pull from California to North Carolina? In short, if you don't know anyone who can do this for you then the answer is yes and you are also checking Yelp to see if this person is legit. I e-mailed Bob from his contact form on his website with a link from my google drive with pictures of my broken pull to confirm the price and that he could fix it. I got a response the very next day saying he could and just to mail in the pull with my payment and return address. Not going to lie, I e-mailed in part to make sure this wasn't some weird scam trying to take my drawer pull and to make sure that this place was still in business. I mailed the pull a few weeks later in late July via first class mail and got it back today (total time maybe a week and mostly due to first class mail being slow but also cheap). The pull has been fixed! You can see where the work was done on the back because of a difference in color but it looks good as new on the front. Would definitely use Beaver Metal Works again! I think the price is very fair for what you get (it cost me ~$6 to mail it, $25 for the repair which includes postage back) which is a working unique pull! read more

Excellent service! I had eight old ,irreplaceable drawer handles repaired by this business for a very reasonable price. Turn-around time was about a week from the time I mailed them in, to their return. I was a little leery as there were no other reviews for this place anywhere on the web, but it worked out very well. I could not be more pleased with the work of Bob Beaver. A recessed brass drawer pull for a dresser had broken and could not be replaced. Several local metalworkers were unable to repair it, and one advised that it very likely could not be repaired. I found Beaver Metal Works online, communicated with Bob Beaver, and sent him photos of the broken pull. He said that he'd had experience with the same line of hardware and could fix it, with a one-day turnaround.
