He showed up on time for the estimate, and gave me a fair price regarding installing a small gate on an existing 3 year old fence. I felt like he communicated well enough with me at the time, and also did some follow up planning and communication via text shortly thereafter. He didn't give me an official written quote for the job during the estimate phase except for a verbal mention/agreement; and then later in a text. On the day of the scheduled job, he showed up a bit late - approx an hour. I was a bit concerned and was really hoping he would show up, so I texted him to make sure he was still coming. My concern also stemmed from a previous text I sent him approx. the day before, and not receiving a response from him. I thought that was odd. My unsettled feeling on the whole situation stems from the numerous and incredibly unbelievable poor encounters I've had with various contractors overall in the past. I have been seriously and sadly conditioned to expect the worst now. It's really quite disconcerting and unfortunate. He texted me back and said he was on his way and showed up shortly thereafter. He had an associate/helper with him. When he arrived he looked and acted flustered and highly irritated. It quickly became clear that he wasn't interested in engaging with me, and it was very confusing, awkward and off-putting. It was like he was a totally different person. He was short with me and acted like he couldn't be bothered. I didn't understand the problem, and I didn't really say anything more to him after I briefly tried to confirm the job he would be doing. I even tried engaging with his helper, but he wasn't interested in being cordial either. He pretty much acted like he didn't seem to know what was going on. Honestly,.... I was very close to telling both of them to forget about doing the job because I was feeling super uncomfortable about the whole negative vibe and atmosphere. But,... I really wanted/needed a gate, so I tried to let it go. I promptly left them alone to do the job. The job didn't seem to take long at all. The gate looks adequate and functional enough; and so I basically got what I paid for. I paid him promptly after the job was completed and I asked for a receipt, but he didn't have one. I asked that he send one to me, and I eventually received it some days later. Regrettably, I would have to say that I wouldn't recommend his services because of the overall irregular experience.

So from the start, I was really excited because the person I had spoken with seemed to be very level headed and business oriented... Only to arrive home feeling COMPLETELY deflated. I requested a "move-in" clean. I advised that the townhome had been unoccupied for a few years. I advised that our things were in the home but I needed a good once over before I felt comfortable putting things away... I can say FOR SURE two things were done that are listed on the contract... The toilets were gross from hard water and they were sparkling clean after. My oldest child's bathroom was clean, floors clearly mopped... Cabinets... ummm... and then I went to warm up take out for my son... VERY communal microwave in the office. My tub.. nope. Vents dusted, (even though they are sited in the quote)... Nope. Doors wiped down? You guessed it... NOPE. Despite how upset I was I tried nicely to convey that the invoice needed adjustment. I was met with begging to come play around in my home (no thanks), then gaslighted to try to believe that I can't read or see either. THEN LEGIT arguing with this lady about messaging me at odd hours of the night. The most basic understanding of consumer law states that even collection agencies can only correspond during certain hours. Only for me today to decide that it's not worth the wasted energy... Only for I guess her to pretend the interaction didn't happen yesterday??? This is truly the strangest, most disappointing interaction with a small business owner I have EVER had. She made very strange and incorrect statements about my financial status ASSUMING I would not be able to cover the bill, my knowledge of business practices, education level and... HEAVENS! It wasn't until I posted a review that they texted me back claiming they planned on having a quote ready today. ---------------- Unprofessional. I asked for a quote over a week ago and Andrea called me and had me text her a photo. I did so immediately and days went by without a response. I texted several more times asking when I can get the quote but crickets. It's unfortunate because I had a long lunch list of items I eventually wanted to have done by professionals but this first impression has me going with another company.
