I've driven by this place countless times and when my husband came here for a work event and raved…read moreabout it, I knew it was time to try it. We were here on a Monday night (President's day holiday) and it was crowded. I'm glad I made a reservation through OpenTable. Once seated at a table in the middle of the dining area, I noticed it was a little stuffy. The table can seat four but I think it would be very packed with all the plates. I noticed the plate I had when I sat was dirty so I just switched it with another vacant plate. The server took away occupied silverware and plates. It felt more spacious. Focaccia bread was brought out with sun dried tomatoes dip and it was delicious!! Not tarty at all and I wish there was more of that dip because it was so good. My husband warned me that their portions were dainty so we ordered calamari appetizer (I highly recommend) and caprese salad (also good and fresh). My husband got tomato basil Alfredo fettuccini with chicken and I had Alfredo fettuccini with salmon. The salmon was cooked to perfection. I found it odd that the server asked how I liked it cooked and I elected for well done. It was so tender and buttery just melts in your mouth. The fettuccini was okay. The texture of the noodles were dumpling like maybe it's homemade but still good. I did order broccolini as a side but someone dropped the ball and that's why I had to dock a star. Overall, I think it's a romantic place to bring a date but the servers aren't too warm but still professional. My husband said there's a business event section upstairs and offers privacy. I think his only complaint was that the logistics of the "buffet" appetizers was awkward so a lot of the food went to waste. I think he mentioned more serving ware like plates and serving spoons would have been helpful. I also think the to go bag is very nice. It's like a reusable grocery bag and fairly large. It's a nice touch. I saw a lady bring her dog. I don't remember seeing an outside patio and I have a dog myself and am a dog lover. I'm not sure what that was about (is there a separate area?).

Not the best. The tomato basil fettuccine Alfredo - it was recommended as being "amazing" and the "most popular" dish.... It left a lot to be desired. The noodles were extremely over done with some noodles actually burnt. A lot of noodles were actually stuck together. The noodles were worse than if a college kid boiled store bought noodles and then forgot about them on the stove. The Alfredo sauce wasn't necessarily bad but it needed to be creamier and needed more flavor. I will say there was a lot of blackened chicken on the pasta, but again, needed more flavor. The pepperoni flatbread was ok. Extremely thin. The server told us it had the pepperoni that curls into little cups. That was false. It was regular pepperoni - which is fine!! But the flatbread overall just wasn't great. I know this is an Italian place in a shopping center in Gwinnett, but I was still disappointed.

I had heard a lot about this restaurant and finally had the chance to meet some friends for lunch…read moretoday. Even after reviewing the menu online, the counter-ordering process can feel a bit overwhelming on your first visit, especially since the menu boards don't line up exactly with what's shown online. No worries, though--the staff is very helpful and happy to guide you through their many great options. My tablemates all enjoyed their selections, and I was very pleased with my Gyro Melt Combo. One thing that really stood out to me was how closely my meal matched the online promo photo--always a nice surprise. While I didn't try any desserts, the cakes and sweet treats on display definitely made me second-guess that decision. Looks like I have a good reason to come back.

From the makers who brought you Marietta Diner comes Yeero Village…read more It's a different style of restaurant compared to that of their predecessors that have become Atlanta staples (Cobb County). The ordering style is that of a fast food joint The service is that of your typical restaurant where they bring the food out to you. So the restaurant itself is very hybrid in terms of how they go about their business. This place is well lit, spacious, and homely yet corporate enough to pass as a franchise type joint. Seats roughly 90 people or so between 4 top tables and booths. It's clean, quaint, and with the traditional Greek soundtrack playing the background, they want you to sort of feel like you're looking at the Aegean Sea while a lyre is playing in the background... but really you're looking at Publix so they can only do so much. Let's go with the food... It's Yeero Village. So I had to try the traditional Greek style Gyro. There is something to be said for the attempt at authentic and it seems like they do it right here. The meat isn't the beef/lamb conglomerate we are all used to when we think "gyro". Here, for it to be authentically Greek, the meat is pork based, not beef based which is typical of the Americanized gyro, which is an interesting take. But rest assured, the gyro was flavorful!!! They married the flavors of the meat which was tender as all get out, the tzatziki sauce, and tomatoes all were balanced and intermingled well. And the pita was fluffy The salad was a bit disappointing. The romaine was shredded and you can't really get a good forkful. The dressing was tart. Too many tomatoes. And just three Kalamata olives??? Come on!!! I did opt for the Greek style potatoes which, I'm glad I did because they were cooked in a way that the flavors seemed to be infused into the potatoes which I was a big fan of! I also had to grab their rice pilaf. The rice was pillowy yet had an al dente texture to it that made each forkful all that more enjoyable! All in all, the folks who brought us Marietta Diner definitely had an idea and developed this place nicely! At $14.95 for a gyro combo with a side of your choice plus the aforementioned salad with tax and your choice for a tip, it's a good $16-$17 meal which is comparable to that of fast food or Panera just a few blocks down! Definitely recommend.

We had dinner reservations for after a show at the Aurora Theatre in town, so it was nice to park in the free parking deck, then take a short stroll over to the restaurant. Dana C was our server, and she took wonderful care of us. It had been several years since I'd dined here, but my wife and I were prepared to order each menu item that what we wanted to eat, knowing that we'd have plenty of leftovers to take back with us. Italian food and pasta is always better over the next few days out of the fridge, right? After tasty glasses of the house merlot for her and chianti for me, we started with their fried calamari appetizer and 2 loaves of garlic bread that were covered in olive oil and sliced, blanched fresh garlic. Very tasty. My wife had their stuffed pork chops entree which came out on a massive bed of pasta. It was all delicious. I had the Veal Parmesan which was served with a side order of spaghetti marinara. The flavors were fantastic! We ordered the "Full" portions on purpose, but we easily would have still had leftovers had we ordered the "half" portions. We made sure to save room for dessert so she could have their tiramisi and I had the cannoli. We did finish all of our sweets, lol. As an after-dinner drink, I had a sambuca which was properly served with the traditional 3 coffee beans. We left this fantastic dining experience pleasantly full, and with bags of take-home containers so we could continue to enjoy the food for days afterwards. This is a great place to hang out and eat well.

We arrived just before 5 PM and were seated immediately, as we were the first customers for dinner. Our server, Sally, was super friendly and very helpful in answering our questions. She explained the portion sizes for both half and full plates -- even the half portions were generous and definitely large enough for leftovers. Our group of three shared a full-size Caesar salad to start. I had the lasagna, my wife had the spinach and sun-dried tomato manicotti, and the birthday girl went with the chicken parm. All three dishes were absolutely delicious. To top it off, the restaurant treated us to a birthday cannoli -- the real deal and as good as any you'd find in NYC or Boston. Great service, amazing food, and fair prices. Well done, Dominick's!
