We had to pay for their shrubs (that were tarnishing the head and foot stones) to be removed. Fees are high to open and close graves and even to put in foot stones. And the staff (walled off as if it was a bank) act as if they are doing us favors.

I was told there had been lots of rain as an excuse for this excessive growth. I complained to the office who told me the dead bushes are replaced in the fall, so if they die they do not get replaced until the following fall. What a lame excuse for not taking care of the plots. The heads of this cemetery earn quite a bit of money but do not care about the plots. Tried calling for 3 hours no one picks up. Can't leave a message for a call back. Automated Message says " Your message is important to us,we are busy call back later". Over three hours of trying to call back and getting that same message. Have they heard of an answering machine at least to take messages ? I tried to reach office to purchase a plot.. figuring looking for business they'll pick up the phone. Sure enough gentleman ( not gentle) picks up however when I asked if perhaps he can help me he immediately and nastily said no this is the mausoleum. I can't help you you have to talk to the office I tried to explain that they don't pick up .. he responded that's not my problem He transferred the call and sure enough once again the automated message picks up and says call back later. I never would've ever thought about reviewing a cemetery. Nobody should be dying to get into this cemetery.

Employees should be wearing appropriate clothing while working at the sanctuary where there are funerals going on. Very disrespectful. When we asked one of the sales people for assistance, we got attitude. She was rude. My loved one is buried there. The least she could do was offer condolences. My mother passed away suddenly a couple of weeks ago. Myself, my sister, nor my father never had the misfortune of having to make funeral arrangements before. On top of being emotional, we felt helpless and confused; thankfully Feeney's made the process as painless and easy as possible for us. We met with Dave, the director, and were given simple worksheets to help us brainstorm how we wanted to memorialize my mother. He talked us through several options, helped us write her obituary for "The Record," and aided us in solidifying all our plans. When it came time for the wake, I could not believe how much Feeney's went above and beyond for us. We never spoke of any extras, so I was not expecting more than a simple prayer card and sign in book. In addition to that, they also provided a large signature board, a blown up photo of my mother fit for hanging on the wall, a large photo collage display, a brochure full of pictures and a mind-blowing origami style card that folded 4 times over revealing different photos, as well as the poem we chose for the prayer card. This card was a beautiful, wonderfully unexpected touch. Throughout both the ceremonies the staff were so courteous, always asking us how everything was and if we needed anything. Everyone was extremely helpful. The day after the wake, we decided to have a short celebration of my mother's life. It began with a very touching and well put together montage of photos converted into a DVD which we were able to keep. Norma, the celebrist (non-religious) speaker, did a great job with the eulogy from the simple timeline that we emailed her - she even stopped to play one of my mom's favorite songs. Losing a loved one is an extremely emotional and trying experience, and Feeney's not only made the process as easy as possible for us, but went the extra mile to make sure our last memories were beautiful and pleasant. I never thought I'd be writing a review for a funeral home, but this one made such an impact on me that I want to publicly praise it. I hold Feeney's in high regard and absolutely reccommend their services.

This small family cemetery is surrounded by a chain link fence with a locked gate. You can still…read morelook through the fence to see the headstones and the cemetery that is in good condition. There is a small dirt/gravel parking area. There is a marker here and it reads... Farmer David Perry had devised by his will, signed on July 18, 1868 that: "the burying ground where the same now is, westerly of my dwelling house, of the use of 40' square, I give unto all my children to be kept by them and their posterity as a place of burial forever." When David wrote his will, his great-grandson Perry Cole (1866-1867) already had been buried in the small plot. By the end of 1871, six members of the Perry Family had been laid to rest within yards of the family house. The last burial at the cemetery was that of David's great-grandson, Claude Yeomans (1887-1940). There are a total of twelve people interred at the Perry Cemetery. The untimely death of many members of David's family is a reminder of the struggles and uncertainities that people of that period routinely endured. The property remained in the Perry Family until the 1920s when it was purchased by the Hackensack Water Company to become part of the Oradell Reservior. The graves are laid out in four even rows facing East and the markers are either marble or granite. The Harrington Park Historical Society is the custodian of both the Perry Cemetery and the Old Burying Ground on Tappan Road. Cathering Blauvelt's headstone was repaired by the Society in 2013.
