I am writing this review not only for myself, but for my sons, my family members, and others who have been affected by a legal system that I believe is in need of serious reform. "As a prior Client, my view on my case is not objective as im capable of seeing from both sides, my attorney and family court. All my statements are accurate to the best of my knowledge and based with documentation alineing with AZ Law and Family Court guidelines. Update - May 29, 2026 I do not retract my original review. My case has been ongoing since 2020 and remains unresolved. In my experience, this firm significantly impacted the well-being of my children and my family. After six years and more than $120,000 in legal fees, I was left to self-litigate without legal representation. During this process, one of my sons was deemed Code Blue and became unresponsive. My other son wrote a letter to the judge describing his mental health struggles and the severity of the domestic violence our family has experienced. Based on my experience, this office was not equipped to handle a high-conflict domestic violence case. My concerns include: Court filings that were not submitted on time. Poor communication throughout the case. Last-minute attorney substitutions during critical proceedings, which occurred at my expense and negatively affected my case. A lack of effective advocacy and preparation. Minimization of the domestic violence that my children and I have been trying to survive. I understand that every case is different, but I would not recommend this firm for high-conflict domestic violence matters. Wow! Having Najaht H. on 4/20/18 your assistant post a 5 star review for your law practice! I can understand why you would, seeing the kind of lawyer Gina Becker Zarling is! We were told what a tough lawyer Gina was and she would Take on my sons cheating, lying, government frauding ex-wife, and my son had nothing to worry about, she would take care of it. We paid $5,000.00 for her services and he got nothing but filed papers from her. Gina and her assistant would send emails from his exwifes-lawyer not explaining anything except upsetting my son so I had to send an email telling them to stop sending those emails without explaining what exactly they meant. Gina told my son to make monthly payments to her so he did and put on each check each month "for child support" then after he continued to do this, after the mediation before the final divorce and his child support was raised again he continued making those payments to his ex as Gina told him. He received nothing at mediation except getting his child support raised again and gets to see his children 4 days per month. He has been hit 2 more times for raising child support and cannot afford to move in a place by his self and would be homeless if he couldn't live with him mom. His ex went to flagstaff child support and he had to send flagstaff child support all his payments and was informed he was suppose to be paying government not exwife. He was not told this by his lawyer or assistant. Flagstaff reviewed all his bank statements and his checks he sent her and they let his ex wife review all his financial records and she lied to flagstaff child support and she said those payments he sent her were not for child support he did that to just help her out! He would have to be completely stupid to send a cheater and a person who ruined his 14 yr. marriage money just for the heck of it. We bought the children what they needed because she was not using the money on the children and she continues to do this to this day and she gets over $900.00 per month and flagstaff child support believed her because she is a 911 operator for flagstaff police department. Flagstaff child support put him owing over $4,000.00 in back child support when he was completely paying like he was suppose to by his "wonderful lawyer" and is now taking him to court to get money for medical which she has a policy on them and his child support covers his portion and sporting equipment and fees she signed them up for without asking him or giving him a schedule of games or even asking him for his permission! We told Gina of child abuse that we had proof on because the nurse at the school called on her and I sent pictures of grandma hitting grandson and he had handprints on arm and back and CPS done nothing! All Gina said was you need to tell CPS which we did! Gina had his back on NOTHING! All she did was file paper work and go over what he would owe for child support! We have no money to fight his ex because we gave Gina everything we had and for what? NOTHING! How about a refund Gina so we can get a proven lawyer who helps good dads who work everyday and love their children with all their hearts and are tired of being ripped off by a greedy money hungry ex who uses money on herself and we continue to scrape money together to by the children clothes and hygiene products, shoes and send money to childrens school to pay for lunches because their accounts are continually in the negative and cannot have lunch! We could use your complete refund to get a lawyer who helps dads! You might get "REAL" reviews with 5 stars instead of your assistant posting 5 stars! We have NO star reviews for you or your practice. But will have to post 1 to get this posted, but you do not deserve even that! I don't know how this attorney, Ms. Z., got these great reviews, but my experience with her was anything but good. I am finally pulling my life together, and it's time to deal with this. I am not someone who finds it easy to stand up for myself, so I never confronted her about her lack of concern for my future wellbeing. I wish I would have. Everyone should know that she does as LITTLE as possible for her "client." I hired her in 2017 when I was 59 years old needing to file for a divorce after 34 years of marriage. I should have been much more careful in selecting an attorney to trust with my future. I was devastated that my marriage had come to needing to file for a divorce, and I was not in a strong state of mind. That is why I told her what to expect from my X to be spouse, and, specifically, I needed to know she was not going to fall for his mastered people charming ways. He is a salesman, and a damn good one. She assured me that I had nothing to worry about, and that she would look out for me and my best interest, as I was her "client." Btw, I am the one who payed her good money to protect my future, not my X. (p.s. My X and I have remained very close to this day. I am thankful that he is still In my life and there for me.) Ms. Z. said she would not be fooled by my husbands, charming, manipulative ways. She explained how she had been married and divorced A man much like my husband and would not fall for anything. I needed her to make sure she looked out for my future because, at the time, I couldn't do it myself. I had given up my life, my choices, so he could have his and build a nice life for us. Me and the kids moved around so he could have his military career. Every time we got moved to different states, Abt every 2.5/3 yrs, we were the ones who had to start over again and again. The kids had it rough being dropped in different schools every time. He had a great resume, but I had to take whatever job I could be because my resume was "choppy" and "I moved around a lot." One of my favorites was cleaning the men's latrines at night. I won't even go into what I had to clean off walls etc. He always had a pre-made support system in the military, but we always had to start over, and I mean start over. I finally gave up on trying to get through nursing school. I had to reapply, restart and redo classes with every move, and I just finally was too overwhelmed and disillusioned. Anyway, add to this that my X pretty much had his own life going, and it was one great time. The kids and I were left out of it, like we didn't exist. Finally, he retired, and since he had a great resume and many years of great training as a salesman, he was set to have a great well paying 2nd career. Again, I was left out of his life, just married to him. I don't need to go into details, but he was not nice. All I asked of Ms. Z, MY Attorney, was to request temp spousal maintenance until the final amount was decided, and make sure I got to keep my medical and dental benefits since I earned them. The rest was negotiable. She didn't do either. I even put in calls to her assistant (or para legal) to remind her because she hadn't even attempted to request temporary sp. maintenance. Before the signing of the docs, she should have set up a meeting with me to make sure I wasn't getting suckered, but nope. Her job was simple, to make sure her client, me, was ok and everything explained and gone over. As I said, I was in no shape to look out for myself at the time. I couldn't even think straight. As far as I know, she did not even go over his financial disclosures, or she would have found out some very important things were left out. Let's just say, that he is pretty well set, and I am not. At the signing, I couldn't even read the documents because I was under such duress, upset, crying, and my eyes were too blurry to see. So, here is the real kicker: MY Attorney, Ms. Z., Leans forward on the desk, and very sweetly and concerning, asks my now X, XXXXX, are you going to be ok to make XXXXX her 1st pmt sometime in November?? WTH! She was concerned about him? I got completely screwed, no temporary spousal, no medical, no dental, and much much more, believe me. I did end up ok, and I say that because I know of stories where some people get really screwed much worse. I want to be thankful for what I did end up with, but it should have been much more fair. In 7 years, at 69 years of age, I'll be in trouble. I wish I could sue. read more

Horrible service! Attorney is always out of the office on personal matters. Turns in documentation in late or incomplete. Causing delay with the court system. I have not yet seen a properly completed legal document from this place. Tons of mistakes along with wrong information causing families to have delays on important matters. read more
