In the year 2016, I filed bankruptcy because of a pending divorce. It was a high stress and sickening time, especially knowing that I would have to sell my house because of my knowledge of what the other party was going to pursue. Also knowing it would be at least 2 years before I could try to purchase another home.
I first met with the Oswalt law group but was dissatisfied with the attorney's demeanor. That attorney was adamant that without a doubt a Chapter 13 bankruptcy was my only option. I was ok with that but the demeanor that was put forth was unacceptable to me. It truly bothered me.

In November 2016, my mother passed away. I still miss her greatly. I received some monies from her estate approximately 6 months after her death. Since the estate money was distributed 6 months after my bankruptcy was discharged, I accepted the money. Several months later, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court determined that the estate money was theirs. I was knocked to my knees. That would mean I would have to pay back the money to them in a short period of time. How was I going come up with such loot?? To make matters worse, my house was now up for sale as part of the divorce.
My former Attorney Jillian Hindo was now aware and she took all the matters of stress away from me and she wasn't even my attorney at time.
