There are many concessions to choose from and plenty of clean restrooms all over the park. Today there was a display on the 50th anniversary on Hank Aaron's historic 755th and final home run. In addition to honoring Aaron with an on-field recognition, American Family Field witnessed another historic event which was the first career home run for #12 Cooper Pratt!! It was a memorable day at American Family Field especially since the Brewers beat the Mets 8 to 3!

For some reason, they still had the roof closed, but at least on a 65F rainless evening, it was very comfortable inside. One of these days, I'll watch a game here with the roof open, but it seems it takes perfect weather for them to open it. We were part of a sellout crowd of 41,021 that watched Jacob Misiorowski and the Brewers beat the Cubs 6-2. It was a treat watching Misiorowski, who's currently one of MLB's hottest pitchers, and who throws a record breaking 105 mph for a starting pitcher! Yowsa, you can hear his pitches slam into the catcher's mitt from 300' away in a sold out stadium! On this visit I also used the shuttle bus service to and from Jack's American Pub on Brady St, and it was both fun and efficient. It's always a pleasure to visit here as the Brew Crew fans are a genuinely friendly and courteous bunch and besides, Cubs fan typically make up half the crowd up here anyway. Til next time!

I had a great experience at my first Lake Country Dockhounds game in Oconomowoc today! I was…read moreinvited to join a group in the new Dive Bar section in left field. There are chairs with counter tops, your own bar with bartender, and servers to take food orders from the nearby taco stand. There are plenty of food options at the Wisconsin Brewing Company stadium, and a kids area with basketball court and bounce houses. After the game, the kids can run around the diamond (it's a version of artificial turf, so no dirt in the kids), and the players sign autographs. Three pitchers were signed to major league team systems this year, so far! There are also multiple seating and group outing options, starting at just $10. I enjoyed a smoked brisket sandwich and loaded tater tots with cheese sauce, pulled pork, BBQ sauce and scallions. In the 6th inning they run a $1 popcorn promo for the inning, and they also have a 50/50 raffle and beer can race (like the sausage race). This is another great option for affordable family-friendly fun! I will be back, and I recommend this experience!

After attending more than two dozen games at nearby Franklin Field, I have a good feel for their…read morestadium in terms of in game entertainment, concessions, amenities, atmosphere, and views of the game. Though I've now only been to Wisconsin Brewing Company Park twice, making informed comparisons isn't hard. Van and Jim are more entertaining announcers at Franklin Field than the pair of guys they have at WBC Park and Bo Vine is the better mascot (sorry, Louie). The Carpentier Agency Tabletops, Captain's Deck, and Baird Wealth Management Club at WBC Park are all nicer premium seating options than the Hop Yard and Ascension Club Level at Franklin Field, mostly due to their proximity to the field itself (the Hop Yard is way out in left field at Franklin Field). The Baird Wealth Management Club in particular is large and super nice inside. The concessions at WBC Park are better in terms of selection and FAR better in terms of quality compared to Franklin Field. They also have more concessions stands than Franklin Field. The main concessions stands at WBC Park are under the seating area, though, which prevents you from seeing any of the game while waiting in line, while all of the concessions stands are Franklin Field have a view of the game due to their open concept stadium. The seats at Franklin Field are wider compared to the seats at WBC Park, which is easily more comfortable than narrow seats. Additionally, if you're sitting low down in the seating area at WBC Park, your view could be blocked momentarily by people walking past as the concourse is at the bottom of the seating area right behind the dugouts instead of at the top of the sections like at Franklin Field. Both parks have seating areas with couches; Franklin Field's are at the top of the seating area while they're field level in right field at WBC Park, which seems more cool. The music and sound bites between pitches at WBC Park sound like they're using whatever royalty free music they can get their hands on while Franklin Field uses more modern music. The entertainment at Franklin Field is more fan oriented with various games between contestants almost every inning while WBC Park seems to prefer less fan interaction in their between inning entertainment (cheerleaders performed three separate times during our most recent visits). WBC Park does have kids activities in right field while Franklin Field doesn't consistently have kids activities (outside the aforementioned between inning games). Everything said, there are aspects of Wisconsin Brewing Company Park that I like and dislike. No ballpark is perfect, but this one is pretty good.

Be prepared to wait in line for a while to grab drinks and food, and look for shorter lines. Sounds somewhat obvious to look for shorter lines, but you may not know that multiple lines are available. Also, some of them split when you get closer to the checkout area for booze, so take advantage! I will say that the only negative experience I had was being charged for four drinks instead of three when I ordered them on my second time up there. This was a learning experience for me, and I will suggest that you grab receipts or have them texted to you since most transactions will be electronic. I went back and sat down, and it hit me that I just paid more money for fewer drinks, so I checked my credit card app, and sure enough, incorrect charge. I skipped the line and asked to speak with a manager. They made it right and gave me one drink credit back. In the end, I should have caught this, and mistakes do get made. This took up a bit of time, and I missed portions of the game as a result, though they made it right. The seats we got were excellent, and it was great to see the Greendale Cheer Team! Additionally, they launched the best fireworks I have ever heard or seen, probably in my entire life. We were able to bring in water in a container, and they handed out all sorts of swag. This was our first time here, but we'll be back again!
