They offer great ticket and meal combo pricing in a family friendly atmosphere. It's really nice they include a 'Milkmen Gift' with each ticket purchase. It's located conveniently off the expressway and lots of parking. It's a pretty family friendly experience as well, so bring the little ones! They sell milkshakes too! Make sure to get them early, the machines tend to break towards the end of the game.

We have gone to soccer academies and soccer training camps before and if you compare facilities, philosophy and coaches, Stik's is far and away a better value, philosophy and their facility is first class. According to Stik's website, their philosophy is: 'Not only is our goal to be able to provide a first class facility to train year round but develop kids and prepare them "For Life." We want every child that comes through our doors to be influenced in a positive manner through athletics and we want to be able to say that we had an influence on the child's development both as an athlete and as a person more importantly.' So far I have seen that in their coaches and coaching. Positive and respectful. From what I see in the older kids the coaching and development is top notch. If you are looking to develop proper baseball skills and develop your child I'd recommend coming out and observe a session.

For what this is, this place is pretty awesome…read more What this place is is: A large sports complex that has the capacity to house adult recreational soccer, kids' volleyball, roller derby, high school baseball, etc., etc. It's owned and operated by the Milwaukee County Parks System. Essentially, it's a giant field house that can accommodate any and all types of sporting matches you can think of (save for swimming, ice skating, etc.) You get the idea. A giant giant indoor space can be divided into four different spaces, and rental rates are relatively inexpensive. For larger spectator events, the Sports Complex staff will do parking, security, concessions, etc. There are large-ish locker rooms and ample bathrooms for a place of this size. They have bleachers. The have outdoor fields as well for soccer, baseball, and whatever else you could want to play outside. We played our first four Bruiser home seasons here, and despite the fact that it's not exactly centrally located (it's all the way out in Franklin), it suited our growing needs just fine. (Now, however, we've moved to the US Cellular Arena, as we could no longer fit our fan base into the Sports Complex.) It's a nice addition to our parks system, and a great place for kids/amateur/recreational sporting matches. It was great for our BCB home season too, but change is good, too.

But when she got a little bit older we felt very comfortable seeing the Chinooks because it is a small enough park that we can keep an eye her, but my husband and I get to enjoy some baseball. They have some really terrific theme nights. The last time we visited we got to meet Milwaukee Brewers legend Rollie Fingers. parking is free, but it is a little bit of a walk to get to the park. Unlike at other places, they supply a convenient golf cart to take you up to the gate if you have a hard time walking a distance. To be honest, we sometimes take the golf cart just because our nine-year-old loves it! There is a nice variety of food available at the park along with bounce houses and some activities for kids. I highly recommend coming to check out a game here. It is affordable for a family and a great time.

After winning a game against the 14u chinooks. In the bottom of the 5th inning the game ended in a…read moreforfeit. They then got all mad and players trash talked our starting pitcher. The Chinooks called us "dip shits". A parent from the Chinooks tells our boys to "shut the fuck up" and when we retaliate by saying the parents were making themselves look ridiculous, another dad said two wrongs don't make a right and got mad at our parents for being upset about the swearing at children. This team never fails to make a fool out of themselves, and the parents were absolutely unhinged. nobody felt safe leaving, everyone feeling unsafe about the chinooks parents. do better, this is little league baseball.

The…read moreFairgrounds are extensive and multi-use, this building is a pretty good choice for medium to even larger size meetings or symposia. They've got a mix of different size meeting rooms, a large central entryway, an excellent security team already assembled and trained for large events and more routine site security. The building is clean and comfortable with ample parking, it's accessible and right off I-94. Of course you don't want to schedule anything here during the State Fair itself.

I would guess it's because it's a bit hard to find and out of the way, up on the north side. For fans of the Urban Ecology Center, you're basically talking about a 4th location with a lot more acreage. Havenwoods has a large modern-style building that houses displays of native animals and plants, a 75-seat auditorium (available for events, it's very nice and Judy on the staff is VERY pleasant to work with), a classroom, library, kitchen, info center, and front desk/office area. It also boasts a large solar electric array! On the roof! Duh! Outside, you'll find dozens of acres of forest and prairie riddled with hiking trails, a fenced in area that houses gardens representing planting regions around the world, a compost demonstration, and much more than I can remember. Very informative and well labeled, so bring the kids/class for a trip. I STRONGLY recommend this place as on a par with UEC, with more of an adventure/out-in-the-woods feel. AWESOME for group trips. The only drawback is the neighborhood is kind of out of the way, and not the best. Unfortunately, they have had issues with vandalism. Please visit, and donate to Havenwoods! Like all state parks, they have seen a decrease in state funding in recent years and need YOUR support to remain the amazing, local resource they should be for years to come!

Don't fret when your GPS takes you through a random neighborhood and ends at what seems to be a dead end of brush and trees. My phone's mapquest was a few yards off from the park entrance. We specifically went to the Nature Center on a Saturday for the Moths and Butterflies program. The arts and crafts are geared towards school aged children, but we enjoyed them all the same. (I like to think I'm a kid at heart ) Some of the activities: a station with a couple of specimens on a slide, under a microscope; a station where you can paint and make a butterfly to take home; a couple more informational/ crafts stations we didn't get around to. You could also check out a net and binoculars from the front desk and go do some field exploration. We didn't get time to do that either as the center closes at 2pm on Saturday. The trails are still open to the public til 8pm though. Worth several more visits to fully appreciate!

I love that they recycle and make a point of letting you know the beer cups you can buy there are recyclable too. Some things to know before going: picnic tales are limited, so bring your own chairs and/ or blankets. it is on a hill but it's not to steep, you can bring a little table or food without worry it will roll away. you can bring carry-in's like your own beer and food, but at the chill on the hill events they also sell it there. and it's reasonably priced for an event. the food they had were good options like Mexican, chines, deep fried, Ice cream and traditional brat/hot dog stand. This past one they also had Sushi but they don't always have that. it's a very good time with goos music so bring your friends ands enjoy the summer!

Limited parking on the street, but it's never crowded and the times I've been here it's been just me. I make use of the picnic tables, since the COVID lockdown I've gotten in the habit of picnic lunches by myself in parks like this. This is a pleasant park to eat your lunch and then read a little while you're supposed to be working.
