It wasn't the holes themselves so much, but the distance between holes that made walking the course more of a challenge. That and finding the next hole. They weren't really well marked, but fortunately we were playing with someone who knew the course and could find their way around. Going from hole 2 to 3, in particular, was quite a hike and not at all easy to find. Overall, we enjoyed the round and will be back - but next time with a cart!

I think there are two par threes and the rest are par fours, which is perfect for me being a beginner golfer! however the woman that I joined the league with, is an excellent golfer and she also enjoys golfing at this course! They offer carts if you prefer to ride, however most the time we walk the course except when it's extremely hot, then it's better to take a cart! I have enjoyed being out on this beautiful course this Spring/summer and looking forward to playing golf there through September! If you're looking for a close, very well-maintained, and reasonably priced golf course, Moor Downs is your place!

That said, hats off to the staff at Luxe for treating me no differently than anyone else there that night. The evening started with a lovely buffet that included a nacho bar, both barbecue and dry-rub chicken wings, fruit and vegetable trays, and pizza. I highly recommend the pickle pizza, a delight I learned to love in the Twin Cities!! The chicken on the nacho bar was moist and very tasty. I also enjoyed the barbecue wings; they were meaty and the sauce was generous. When food started to run low, staff were quick to respond and the kitchen seemed up to the task as the buffet was replenished as quickly as it seemed possible. I was very impressed. I don't drink very often, and this night was no exception to my general rule, but I did sip my friend's tropical cocktail, and found it worth every penny because it was strongly alcoholic and very refreshing. Everyone in the large group I was there with seemed to enjoy the golf aspect of the evening. This was my first experience with a place like this, and it was fascinating to to watch. This is quite an impressive set up, and I'd be happy to go back anytime able-bodied friends are going.

The food was very good and the drinks were well made. The general manager spoke with us and wanted to ensure we had a good experience. The view when golfing was beautiful and they hand comfortable seating. I would definitely return and this place is the perfect spot for date night or time with friends.

Received a cash register receipt for $15 and change as compensation. Fast forward to yesterday. Offered the cash register receipt toward the greens fee. I was told that it was not a credit, but rather a receipt showing that a refund had been made back to my method of payment. I disputed that fact to no avail. After returning home, I checked my credit card records, which confirmed that I had paid the greens fee on that day in June, and had NOT received any credit back. I got nowhere with trying to argue my case with the 2 un-friendly guys in the clubhouse. By the way, when I checked in there were 2 ladies working who were quite friendly, however they seemed to have NO authority whatsoever.

A simple - "I'm sorry, we are closed for a league tonight - you can play at X times" was all she needed to say. Instead she was super harsh about them being closed in front of everyone at the bar. She offered suggestions and helped guide us the whole way. She went above and beyond in many different ways! The venue was beautiful and Carrie who is a florist there created amazing arrangements for us. On the day of, Katie came to check in on us and got us ready to start the day. This is a kids play place and it looks like it's never been cleaned. We were barely there an hour before we left because everything we touched had a nasty coating of black grime all over it.
